In March, to help a friend who had no bank account, I took a cashier's check in the amount of $5000 to PNC Bank. It was cashed and the money was given to my friend. It was a third party check from ***************************, endorsed to me. Three weeks later, based on this transaction, I submitted a second check for $8000 and was told it would be cleared in twenty four hours, like the first check. I went back to the bank the next day and a five day hold was placed on the check. Approximately three days later, I called the bank and found that my disability check had been withheld and the amount of the first check had been reversed, leaving me with a negative balance of approximately $4100. And now this month's check has also been taken by PNC to pay off the $5000. As PNC has kept my money - which is illegal - I have asked for a refund and been told the bank would issue two checks to cover two month's disability. I have visited the bank five times as each time I was promised I could pick up the checks. I have spent hours on the phone. I have still not received any monies and I am desperate. And I have been dealt delaying tactics time and time again. And now the bank is not following through with their promises and acting as though all this information is brand new and the issue not resolved.

The company denied doing buissness with me fir no good reason. The fact that it's legal for them to not accept my money to rent a trailer is a disgrace. This is corruptipn by big buissness and discriminatory This kind of policy is a disgrace criminal corrupt and destryiong this country. You may have the legal right to do it but we all know what this is corrupt discrimination against a truck driver trying to become a small businesses owner. I will never do business with this kind of corporation.

This appears to have been submitted in error. FairShake does not rent trailers. Was this intended as a complaint against U-Haul?

I signed a settlement offer with PayPal and was supposed to receive my payment within 30 days and when that didn't occur I contacted Fairshake who I filed the initial claim with. I didn't receive a response until yesterday with no explanation other than a contact at PayPal who will not respond. I had an agreement to not pay the remaining balance until PayPal Paid me yet they are wanting the money now. I want to know what's happening with my claim and why I haven't been paid and since PayPal broke a legal agreement I need to know the next steps yet I can't receive a response

FairShake instructed the customer to contact the company directly to request an update on the settlement disbursement as they are the ones responsible for issuing the payment. As a courtesy, the customer has been reimbursed by ******************** for one payment, and the other payment had failed from the bank and was never charged. FairShake will no longer attempt to charge the customer for the claim.

If the customer wants to pursue further legal action against the company, FairShake has provided additional resources for them to take outside of FairShake at this time.

Sorry to hear you have not received your settlement. Please allow us to look into this issue. When a user signs a settlement agreement, they agree to have their card charged 30 days after the signature. Sometimes companies slow in processing settlements. However, when companies do not follow through we want to know and to process a refund as appropriate.

Totally fake. They made me pay $225 to receive a fake attorney. Do not waste your time or money. They did nothing to help my case, but run out the clock. I tried to call and cancel once I realized I was scammed and couldn't leave a message, receive a phone call, or speak with a representative.

We're sorry to hear of ********************** frustration. This situation calls for clarification. FairShake never receives money from a user unless they settle or resolve their claim. With regard to ********************** claim, she agreed to representation by Advocate Attorneys, a law firm separate from FairShake. The *********************************** which FairShake helps file documents with for Advocate Attorneys -- requires a fee to initiate the arbitration process. Attached are documents to confirm that ********************** claim was filed with the ******************************** (***). She should follow up with her attorney or the *** to receive an update on the status of the case. Cases from Advocate Attorneys have generally been transferred to DannLaw, which can be contacted using the information here: ********************

I was blackmailed into a refund by an Airbnb host. The host committed many frivolous acts and even threatened me after I requested that I get my money back for a bug infested Airbnb. He refused to give me the proper amount of money back and Airbnb did nothing about it.

This complaint is not about FairShake. This claim is about a different company altogether.
