I used my card at a gas pump yesterday and my hold has not been taken off my card yet it made my balance in the negatives and cash app talking about give it 5 days when I need my money now this is such an inconvenience and this rule needs to be changed I never had this issue as long as I been using my card at the pump. It takes about 30 minutes minimum for the hold to come off now all of a sudden Im having this issue. I want my money back.Review from Josh D

Do not use cash app! It is terrible. A huge scam to steal your money. We thought it would be a good way to set up an account for our son to start using a debit card. My wife set up her parent account and added some funds. My son set up his account and requested his card. My wife added some funds to his account, but when his card arrived it would not activate because they said they could not verify his identity. We contacted cash app, and of course all we could get was a bot, not a real person. After a bunch of rigmarole, we were told to take a picture of my wifes ID to verify her identity then they would activate his card. Never heard any follow up and card was never activated. After at least a month we tried to go on and transfer the money from our sons account back to my wifes do we could cash out and close the account, but they would not let us access the money she had transferred to his account. After a couple hours dealing with bots and what she thinks finally may have been a real human being (but were not sure because they were as unhelpful as the bot, and its all over text because you cant get anyone on the actual phone to speak with a real person), she was told again to send a picture of her drivers license, a picture of her holding her license, and a picture of our debit card, which all seemed very sketchy. In the end we had to eat the money and just close down the account. DO NOT USE THIS APP. Terrible customer service and in the end they basically just stole $21 from us. Just glad we didnt put even more money on the account to begin with. If I could complain directly to CashApp I would but its a faceless company where you can never speak to a real person. Terrible experience and highly recommend staying as far away from CashApp as you can.Review from Constance H

Ive been using Cash App for years, I have their debit card and I have a business account with them. I used to like their service because it was fast and convenient and because you can get little discounts with the debit card or you can round up and invest your change in Bitcoin or in a stock of your choosing but these days the service has basically become unusable. Cash App always had a bit of an issue with lack of customer service but it has gotten to a point where the customer service is downright abysmal. The customer service reps just provide vague, form answers that sound like a chatbot and in the event that you do speak to a person they are downright rude. They recently changed the rules - without notice - so that in addition to the familiar limits on amounts of money that can be sent, received, etc they have now implemented limits on the number of transactions users can initiate within a day, week and month. Unfortunately these transaction limits are not listed anywhere in the app and they arent specified in the terms and agreement so I have no idea what the limit actually is, I just know that I cant send money anymore and it is messing with my business and causing a lot of frustration.Review from Uriah W

Absolute trash. No recourse if you accidentally send funds to the wrong person or pay for goods that are never received. Nothing but a means for scammers to continue to take advantage of people.Review from Kevin R

Cash app is a scam they accused me of violating their terms, and refused to provide documentation as to the violation. I have a regular bank account with ***** Fargo, and *******. I don't participate in anything illegal, and the fact that they closed my account without providing just cause as to the reasons why is sufficient enough reasons for anyone who is unable to get a regular bank account to go with Chime. I used Cash App for those less fortunate people to pay for their rides with me via ridesharing, and nothing more.Review from Curtis Lorraine O

Cash app is perhaps the worst business or establishment that should be allowed to deal with people's money. I sent my niece some money she sent a portion of it back to me I don't know where it is and when I talked with an Associate this morning she could not tell me where the ***** went to.. instead she told me that I have $***** left in my account (that was confusing to me as well since i don't have a cash app card to have ***** on it) and if I want my niece to get the rest of the money I would have to add more money to the $11 in order for my niece to get the refund. The associate was very rude and informed me that they had other customers who needed her help and she hung the phone up. The other concern was I sent ****** to someone and when I received ****** I was charged 8.75 to get it. There was NO OPTION to get it "STANDARD" the only option was "INSTANTLY". Whether I chose to receive my money instantly or standard I still should not be charged $8.75 to get something that is being sent to me. The ***** I have on my account...for some reason I can't retrieve it and the associate kept putting me on hold and upon return, she ended out conversation so she could help "OTHER" customers. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ********************** BUT I WOULD RECOMMEND ZELLE.Review from Rune W

I sent the wrong person $62 by *********** got intouch with cash app right away & cash app customer service kept making up all types of excuses on refunding me my money. I will never use cash app no more in life, because cash app don't have the customers back in no kinda way.
