  They moved me on 11/17 . I was quoted sub **** to move from ********* to ***********. It is a 2.5 hour trip. I had a less than 600 sq foot apartment and no couch, kitchen table, or large furniture. Everything was packed. The movers reeked of pot. It took 6 hours to get everything in the truck. Around hour three, I was concerned, and called the dispatcher. One of the movers asked me to haul stuff down to the truck. I was paying them to do this. They had everything on the street, and I am not sure why it took ages to get things in the truck. I had to leave to go meet my property manager at the new place, so I called dispatch, and arranged for the movers to finish and meet me at my new house. about 2 hours later, when I was 30 min from my new house, I call Dispatch to get an ETA, and I am told that the workers had worked over their 8 hours,, and they needed to finish the job the next day. They also told me that the charges were well over 2K, so they cannot take a credit card from me, but I needed to come up with a cashiers check for 4K ( it was 3:30pm on a friday afternoon) and after I got the check, to call them, and they would dispatch the movers to my new place. I had two dogs and the movers had EVERYTHING we needed in order to go back to SF, find a friend to stay with, and get the cashiers check in the morning. If I did have the move finished that same day, I would need to pay double and triple overtime. None of this was discussed. Everyone knew where I was moving to up front. I go back to SF in traffic, it takes me 3+ hours, it is pouring rain, and I settle in without anything for the night, get the check and head to the new house. The movers beat me, so I told them to start moving stuff in. I get there and everything is in the garage, wet, and covered with rain. They are complaining because it is raining, and they do not want to move the boxes upstairs. I had to pay others to help me move the rest in. Abysmal. Do not hire them.

  On April 7th I hired Moving central to help me move. Thinking it was going to be a positive exciting day it turned out to be the worst day of my life. The movers ***** and **** showed up to move my three bedroom apartment. The first thing I noticed was they were both under the influence and I told them that I didn't want them to handle my belongings while under the influence and they assured me that they were fine. I reluctantly let them start packing up my things. Overall, the moving experience was a bit stressful due to the argument between the movers, **** and ***** began arguing because ***** was taking too long moving. The argument lasted about 30 minutes. Their asking for my items was a bit unexpected, but I was happy to donate some tools I never used. Tipping them and ordering them food was a small gesture of gratitude for their hard work. Not only did they take longer than expected, but I realized a few of my items were stolen. My ***** sneakers, Louis ******* slides and tools that I didnt agree on them taking. I immediately contacted the dispatcher and 30 minutes later kalib (moved) called me and said he took the shoes because he said he assumed I was donating them. Without asking me, he stole them. The next day they my shoes were returned and my tools werent. The fact that the dispatcher ****** was unhelpful and dismissive of my concerns only adds insult to injury. He told me its not stealing if they return the items, that I should have never gave them anything to begin with and continued to yell and be argumentative with me as if I was in the wrong. It's clear that this company has sketchy practices and unprofessional staff. The next day I reached out to Moving Central to express my dissatisfaction and they were unresponsive and unhelpful. It was clear that they didn't care about the quality of their service or the satisfaction of their customers. In the end, It was a huge headache and an unnecessary stress on an already stressful situation

  BEWARE, AND DON'T MAKE BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY BECAUSE THEY ARE TOTAL LYING ********..! When I called this MOVE-CENTRAL company about a move I had to make from my apartment to a storage unit, I was told by the representative of this company that they would only charged me $680.00, with 2 workers, but since I added one more person to help with the moving they charged me $205.00 for adding another mover. When the movers arrived the moving day, they started to take their time in moving the furniture into the truck very slow. Unfortunately, since I was inside my home, making sure that nothing was being left behind, I didn't know that these movers were not putting the furniture inside the moving truck but leaving it out on the street! And what could have been done in 2 hours, they made it six times the amount it should've taken! Not only did they took their time in putting the furniture into the truck so slow, but they also arrived late to the Public Storage area where they had to bring the furniture, which was no more than 10 minutes away from the apartment building where I lived... Due to all the delay I was charged $1395.00 more, making the total amount $1850! I was very disappointed by the head of the movers that showed up, because they did everything very slow knowing that I was going to be charged for the hours. In the end, I was very disappointed by the company and the leader of the pack that showed up, because both of them pretended to be good people, when in reality it was all a show, all part of the ****!

  I was quoted one price and then after they would remove my things from the truck, the price went up to over ****** from a ****** quote. The drivers were with me for under 4 hours and the new invoice had them there for **** hours??? Thieves is the only word to describe them!!!!
