When I made the reservation, I was told there would be 3 movers. Only 2 came. Move took 7.5 hours. It would not have taken that long with 3 movers. Cost was $1,175 plus $150 gas plus tips. Truck was not big enough. At the end, we threw all leftover stuff in 2 cars. We had intended to take some valuables but not fill each car to overflowing. Lead mover spoke English fluently. The other understood only a little. Boxes had been used before. There was old writing on them. I explained several times the correct room/title was on printed white stickers on end of each box. I was told I could leave my clothes in drawers of bedroom dressers. Most furniture was wrapped in a blanket and secured with plastic wrap. Furniture went into the truck sideways or upside down. Everything was a mess in every drawer when it was delivered. My desk was the last piece loaded. It was not wrapped it in a blanket. Movers taped both empty drawers by attaching tape directly on the drawers. When movers ripped off the tape, the finish came off. I repaired some damage with shoe polish and sharpie pen. Its better but still noticeable. I walked into the garage as movers were putting something heavy on top of my genuine leather recliner. I own a blue moving blanket. I asked them to put the blanket on the recliner before they added that item on top. I was told it already had a blanket under the plastic wrap. Sadly, the recliner was damaged. There is now a 2 perforation in the leather. I have a storage closet on the balcony of the apartment I moved into. Boxes for the balcony were clearly marked BALCONY + (name of item). Boxes were heavy. Movers stacked 2 stacks of 3 boxes with labels facing BACK wall. Heaviest box was on TOP. I could not move the boxes. So, 2 items damaged, one significantly. Move took longer than expected, thus, it was more expensive. Guys were not thoughtful on placement of boxes in the storage closet and in the apartment. On the whole, move was fair but certainly not great.
