Buy back lemon 2023 Mercedes Benz purchase lease 6/12/2023 payments of $1,178.98 first complaint filed with Mercedes Benz 7/23/2023 flat tire poor driving performances stated there was nothing wrong with vehicle except repaired flat tire. ["I ********* ***** am rejecting this response because: Mercedes Benz of Oakland has refused to buy back my 2023 Mercedes Benz with USA Mercedes Benz after leading me on for over a year of problems defect complaint that begin July 11, 2023 and refuse to inspect the vehicle for repairs under warranty knowing that if the vehicle had a history of repair it would be liable for buy back, that was reviled unto me after I had a quality Mercedes Benz dealer check for defect 7/11/2024 for defects problem documentation of repair order that were deny by Mercedes Benz of Oakland promised to take back the vehicle when I stopping making payments July1, 2024 their promise to take back the Mercedes Benz by owner Mr. ***** *******, who retired August 2024 and Sale manager Mr. new owner Mr. ***** ****** visits for inspection for buy back October 4, 2024, and was informed after over a year of refusal to repair defects under warranty reason knowing that if there were no repair orders that USA Mercedes would not buy back the 2023 Mercedes. Letter I received on file 8/6/2024 from *** Mercedes Benz refusal to Buy-back and to contact the BBB AUTO LINE because there were no repair orders on your 2023 Mercedes Benz. When I visited Mr. ***** ****** owner Oakland Mercedes for inspection to take back defective Mercede as promise for over a year and stop making payment July 1, 2024. Stated to me ["That he we are not going to take back the Mercedes Benz and are not going to anything to assist you; if I wanted them to take back the 2023 Mercedes; I would have to pay them $23,000 for the value of the Mercedes"]. The next day I received a call from Mercedes Benz Financial from Mr. ******* stated ["That I was three months behind with my monthly payments and the vehicle is up for repossessing if I didn't make the three months past due payment']. I refuse and explain to Mr. ******* the circumstances and that this is not a non-payment or Breach of Contract for lack of payments or quality for repossessing"]. All telephone call has been rejected ignored by Mercedes Benz Financial and continue to repossess the vehicle 2023 Mercedes if I did not make a payment per the request of owner Mr. ***** ****** instructions to repossess the vehicle to prevent defects and Buy Back from *** Mercedes and have the car repossess dishonest not trustworthy breach of contract failure to inspect vehicle under warrant for repair orders for buy back daily phone call from Mercedes Benz Financial of repossessing vehicle to ruin my credit with all Mercedes Benz in the State of California and all three ***** Credit Bureaus if action is not taken soon. On previous service visit, wheels were never removed from the vehicle during inspection.
Vehicle is equipped with aftermarket wheels and lug bolts. We found during this visit that lug bolts broke off and others were overtightened.
Mercedes-Benz of Oakland has in the interest of customer satisfaction has resinepcted vehicle for any suspension or wheel damage - none found.
We have resintalled everything back to vehcile and will test drive vehicle with customer to ensure satisfaction.

I brought my 2016 Mercedes Benz GLE 350 in for the schedule "B Service". This service is to include the replacement of the dust and air filters as well as transmission service with the replacement of the transmission fluid that I was told had just been updated to include in the *** service. This is a $1594.90 service in which I paid in full. I ended up having another issue arise while the vehicle was at Mercedes Oakland with the engine light coming on and a "hard code" saying there was a misfire in ignition coil #5. When the Service Rep. called me to let me know he quoted me $7,600.00 in repair. I of course said no thinking this was an outrageous amount of money for this repair. I paid the $1500.00 for the schedule *** service and then asked to speak to one of the mechanics about the suggested repair and what the $7,600.00 quote included. I was told that was not possible and I also was not given an itemized estimate of the repair costs to justify the quote. I then asked if I could drive the car and they said it was drivable but suggested I take care of the issue promptly. It was suggested I call Mercedes Benz *** to ask for any assistance they may be able to provide to offset the cost. I did call them and they reached out to MB of Oakland and they offered me $1550 off the $7600 service. I was told to call them the Oakland store back to schedule service. I did and asked if I could have an itemized estimate of repair. The service rep said he would all me back. A week went by and I didn't hear from him so I called to make an inquiry and left a message with him and received no call back. I did this twice. Subsequently I took my car to a trusted mechanic who was able to repair my vehicle for THOUSANDS less but also brought to my attention that dust and air filters were not changed and the transmission fluid was a quart and a half low. There were NO identified leaks. The tire pressure also was not corrected. It was repaired and I paid for it AGAIN for this mechanic to fixInitial Complaint

Please look at attached information and details of the services below.p.s I only went in to have my vehicle serviced for a check engine light which prevented my car from starting. All I was advised at the time was all I needed was a front fuse/relay box for my car to start and operate. I was advised by my financial advisor *************************, I needed a new battery. I advise him. The battery. I put in my car, was already brand new. After paying for services and being told I did not pay for the services. I was giving my vehicle back with the check engine light on, battery light on and my lift latch not working at all, and the light on the dashboard says that my lift is open I've never had these problems before. After paying for a new battery. My system on my Mercedes Benz was supposed to be rechecked. The service technician, advised me and my fiancee. I didn't pay for them service's. My system was never rechecked. Even, when my financial advisor and the service technician's, seen they had to keep jumping my car to get it started. They refused to change the dead battery which I paid them for, to replace my battery they claim was dead.Business Response

Customer towed vehicle in because the engine will not start.
We have currently invested several hours of diagnostic time to have a preliminary understanding of the condition or issue that is causing the engine not to start.
Based on our preliminary findings, several control modules in the vehicle are not responding and causing engine not to start by design.
It appears that something or somhow these control modules may have been shorted out. We are unclear as to the cause at this time and will need further diagnostics and time to continue testing.
I advised customer that the repair cost will far exceed the value of this vehicle. Customer refuses to understand situation and wants to blame dealer for this issue that happened recently - prior to towing this vehicle.
I asked the customer to consult with BAR for more technical advise relating to the condition of his vehicle. The cause of this failure was not something that occured over time, rather suddenly, before he towed the vehicle.
Customer is insisting on repairing the vehicle and we are considering options to accommodate the customer, keeping in ************** of the vehicle.

In late April 2022, I brought my Mercedes Benz GLK 350 to Mercedes Benz of Oakland for an airbag recall. When I returned home after picking up the car, the electric lift gate did not work. I've had the car seven years and the lift gate has always worked flawlessly. When I returned the car to get the lift gate fixed, they said it would cost $3,300 to replace the control unit that they said had burned out! I told they must have messed it up since it had always worked flawlessly in the past. The service technician, ***************************, said I'd have to speak with the service manager "Gio." I called and texted Gio at least 10 times, he has never replied and the lift gate still doesn't work. I want them to replace the control unit at their cost since they obviously broke it. They will say it's a coincidence, but that's nonsense. I raise and lower the lift gate an average of twice a day, over seven years, that's more than ***** times - with no problems, but the day they are messing with the electronics it suddenly doesn't work. My 2021 GLS 450 SUV has required replacing four ****** tires provided when I purchased the car due to nails in the tire. I have three other cars and none of them had a single issue with nails in a tire requiring a replacement. I noticed online that in March 2021, ****** had a tire recall. The tires provided are not covered under warranty and have required significant out-pocket costs to replace! I'm requesting Mercedes pay for four new tires from a vendor other than ****** be installed on my car!Business Response

The series of events are as follows 08/30/21 he had a nail in his tire and we replaced at no charge as a one time good will. 11/19/2021 another nail same tire we replaced under new tire warranty no charge to him. 12/23/21 nail in different tire client paid. 03/10/22 replace front and rear on other side tires worn and needed replaced client paid. 07/29/22 nail rear right replaced under new tire warranty no cost to him. As you can see we have done everything we can to help ******************* as he is a very good customer of MB of **************** and has been for a long time. We will continue to help where we can but cannot replace 4 tires because of nails in his tires.
