My first time sending nice clothing and accessories to them...I paid full premium price for the selling bag so I could have the declined items returned to me at no additional cost....I could see they declined several items and can see pics of each item, but when the package arrived it was only a few of those items and a few were items that are not mine!! I have tried to chat with them online during business hours and have not been able to get an answer. On top of all of that!!! The amount they are splitting with me is ridiculous - I am better off selling on Poshmark or **** or at a Garage Sale :(( Very disappointed in how they run their business for the sellers

I sent high-quality, name-brand clothes to ThredUp expecting to earn income, as advertised. Unfortunately, they accepted only a very small portion of my items even brands like ********** were rejected without clear explanation. The few items they did take were sold for extremely low prices, leaving me with just a few cents in return. They also charge fees at every step, including money to send the clothes in, to return unaccepted clothes, clothes which were accepted but did not sell. Overall, you will lose money. The process felt misleading and has left me questioning the legitimacy of their business model.

My experience with ThredUP has been anything but pleasant. I HAVE NEVER SIGNED UP FOR THEIR HARASSMENT. Visited their sight -- nothing else, visit. Today they emailed me to explain their privacy policy. How about LEAVE ME ALONE???

I also cannot fathom how ThredUp has an A+ rating. Maybe for buyers, but for sellers it's nothing short of a NIGHTMARE. newsflash ThredUp, without sellers you've got nothing for buyers. The problems and go around I've experienced are too many to recount so I'll try to list in categories. First, you have the option to pay a higher processing fee ($35 per kit or box of items in addition to a percentage of every item you sell) which is buys you faster processing times and the ability to have more control over your pricing which can be a good thing if you have higher end items. But thats where it ends because ThredUp has found loopholes to still stonewall the sellers and take all control away from them when it comes to how items are listed, how they are processed, what happens to them etc. I have experienced so many foul play issues that it literally feels like they are stealing my things. **************** is a JOKE. You can't speak to anyone. Only chat through the app's chat system which is controlled by them. They often do not help your problem, respond with a canned answer that doesn't come close to addressing your issue then they cordially end the chat with "it was so nice speaking with you, have a wonderful day" and you are locked out of that conversation. I've had it done to me in the midst of typing a reply. The app itself also a JOKE. So many functionality issues, viewing issues, etc.. Too many to list. Items mysteriously disappear, you are told nothing and you have no idea what is happening with your item. Too many items listed horribly wrong, priced incorrectly and then some. Which leads you to the ** chat where you get the privilege of explaining yourself 42 times before you get any help then get to spend countless hours of your life chasing down your item, your correction or your money. You pay ThredUP to save time on listing and shipping your own items but you spend as much time chasing issues and making sure your items don't get stolen

Do not sell with them! The selling fees are outrageous! I sent two full bags filled with brand-new, like-new, and high-end brand clothes. They kept most of them, and I only made $30. I requested one of my bags back, and when it arrived, my $250 dress had a broken zipper. They also claim that after 45 days, unsold items are donated, but that’s a lie, they keep selling them on their website. I reached out about this, and they said it was a mistake and that they would contact me, but they never did. Very dishonest business.

I have the same compliant that these others do, they took forever to process "my kit" which is my clothes, they have the "list" of ineligible items meaning they will not pay you out on your clothes yet they sell them and keep the money for their profit, the things they do sell you get maybe $2.00 dollars and they keep your other clothes. I did get them to agree to send me my cash out which was supposed to show up in my ****** account from the 15th but I will see if that ever makes it to ****** I am not hopeful. I have raised my concerns and the only way you can communicate with them is through chat which is only God know where that is. How are they allowed to do business like this? Sellers BEWARE do not send your clothes. Never again. BBB I hope you look into the complaints against ThredUP.

How does ThredUp have an A+???? Surely the many 1-star reviews below could influence that rating?I have never felt more scammed by a company in my life. 5 items in my box were accepted/sold. For example, a worn-once amazing condition ****** ***** dress was listed for about $50 and it was purchased by someone. But whoops, there was a sale that I was not aware of and cant opt out of, so my item was really only $32.02. And double whoops, I only make a fraction of that ($8.94) and ThredUp keeps the rest.Math time!!8.94 Dress +1.13 Cardigan +1.59 Sweatpants+2.37 Brand-New Purse+1.42 Top =***** But wait!!!! More math.*****-14.99 Bag Processing Fee=0.46 I made less than a dollar.
