I purchased a vehicle at an auto dealer auction, winning a bid for $9,300 on 10/15/2023. I initially left a $500 down payment and returned with an additional $3,000 On 10/117/2023. When financing, I was informed I had to pay full retail price for the vehicle and use the dealerships preferred lender. Despite this, I was later denied financing by the lender due to limited credit history and was told I needed a co-signer to proceed. The financing terms presented do not align with the agreed-upon auction price, and I believe this constitutes deceptive business practices. Furthermore, the documents provided by the dealership contain inconsistencies, raising concerns about potential violations of the Truth in Lending Act. I am requesting the cancellation of the contract, a full refund of all payments made, and any applicable penalties or fines for violations of consumer protection laws.

Date of purchase 11/17/2022 I purchased this vehicle approximately 11/17/2022 with Socal Transportation. My deposit amount was $2000.00. Upon inspection of vehicle that day I was told that vehicle would have to be inspected for maintenance issues before I could drive vehicle off lot. I left Socal Transportation that day and was called back a week later by Silver stating the car was ready for pickup inspection went well but brakes was replaced. However there after I had several issues with the car needing major repairs also with me paying a deductible every time the car was in the shop. Last repair was on 3/3/2023 costing approximately $1,597.37. On 3/9/2023 the car broke down needing another major repair for the transmission which would have cost approximately $6000-$8000. I have tried to work with the Lender Quality Acceptance and Socal Transportation; but neither have corporated so I surrender the vehicle approximately 3/23 because of the faulty vehicle. After all of this I am now suffering from stress, anxiety, lost wages, repossession on my credit, denial of financial Aid to continue education. I would like a settlement offer and the repossession taken off my credit.

In June of 2022, I purchased an Audi A4 with 90k miles. Though the cars are sold ‘as is’, they are also supposed to be free of major engine or transmission problems. My car ran for two weeks then engine went out completely. Literally had everything wrong that you can imagine. Repairs would cost way more than what the car is worth. This place is beyond crooked. From the fake ‘auction’ that they hold where they start out higher than blue book value then act as if there are customers bidding online, (to create urgency and fear of missing out). At one point, I raised my hand during the auction to bid on the latest amount offered, then quickly regretted it, and tried to put my hand down. A security guard rushed over to me and told me to immediately go make the purchase at the purchase window. When I tried to explain that I wanted to bid on another car, they had two other guards come up to me and force me to the window, very weird and scary. I paid 7k for an absolute lemon.

On June 18, 2022 I purchased a vehicle from SoCal Auto Auctions aka SoCal Transportation. During this transaction, I paid a fee for SoCal Auto to complete the DMV paperwork and mail license plates, registration and title to me. I was told this would arrive in a few days. On June 23, 2022 someone named Rocio at ************ texted me saying that there was a delay of DMV paperwork, and as soon as it was completed, they would mail to my home. On June 29th, I still had not received any of my DMV documentation or plates. I text Rocio and told her. I did not receive a response. I text her again on July 3rd, because I still had not received my DMV documents and plates. She apologized for the delay and said they would arrive by September, which was not what I was told at the auction or by her originally. As of August 22nd, I still had not received and she called and said they had been mailed and I'd receive this week. She text me a picture of the registration to confirm she had them. I text her August 25th, letting her know I had not received them as promised and I requested owner name and phone number, business permit and license number and a refund for the service I paid them for (DMV paperwork and transfer paperwork). She lied and said it had been mailed already and to wait until Saturday. As of August 27th, I still have not received my DMV paperwork or license plates, so I called Rocio again. She told me that they HAD NOT been mailed because employees were sick and they were still at the Ontario auction location on Mildred. I asked about my refund and she said it would be mailed later but she did not know when. I asked for the owner and operating license number again and she refused. I STILL DO NOT have my license plates, registration or stickers for a vehicle I purchased and paid in full for, over 2 months ago. I have not been refunded for the service that SoCal so clearly did not provide.

I wanted to report an experience I had with the business SoCal Auto Auctions, in Ontario California. I was in the market for a vehicle and was interested in SoCal Auto Auctions specifically for their affordable prices. After getting into contact with their employees, I was introduced to a man that goes by the name of Silver. I was then asked to provide information involving my bank statements so that I can be approved from their "higher ups". On January 20th 2022, I visited the business's location, there was a reasonably priced 2006 BMW 3 Series which was for about $4,000-$6,000, for which I was approved for. Once approved, I was notified the car was going to be auctioned off in two days, and he requested I put a $500 down payment to prevent it from being sold. I did so, and set up an appointment for January 24th 2022 around 1pm to finalize the transaction. we met at the business's location and I brought my own personal mechanic to come check out the vehicle with me. Once we were inside we had to ask for permission to scan the vehicle, to check out any past and current malfunctions. Once the mechanic scanned the vehicle he was able to detect that the mechanics at SoCal Auto Auctions DELETED malfunctions so they wouldn't be detected. Automatically, this was a red flag. The mechanic thought this was unprofessional, and out of skepticism he asked to scan a different car, to which he found deleted codes for as well. Once we pointed this out to Silver, he was not happy we found out about his attempts to withhold the true status of the vehicle's wellness, and demanded we stopped checking the cars. He pressured for me to sign off for the BMW, and once I raised my concerns about the true (lack of) wellness of the vehicle he didn't want to negotiate and refused to return the deposit I initially put down, but never stated it was nonrefundable. His defense was there was a 'sold as is' sign, but my issue is that he is deceiving of the cars true conditions.

On November 24, 2021 I purchased a 2007 BMW X5 thru Socal Auto with approximately 142,000 miles on it. I was the highest bidder at $4300. The sales tax was $1235 in a buyer fee $675. I paid the dealer 4000 in cash and financed the remainder subsequently with a finance company “Quality Financial”. Upon receiving paperwork from the finance company I noted that the amount financed was over $6000. At that point I contacted the finance company because the amounts had been grossly inflated. I contacted SoCal on several occasions without any resolution. Within three weeks of having the car the check engine light came on and the car broke down I spent an additional $1200 repairing the car. The check engine light came back on again two days later I contacted the dealer once more because I had to fly to another state for my sister‘s funeral and I desperately said I need to resolve all of these issues with my car so they sent a tow truck to pick up the car and promised me that the repairs would be done and I would have a good running car when I got back. In the meantime I had emailed quality financial the original purchase invoice which confirmed the large discrepancy in the price of the vehicle and they immediately rescinded the loan back to the dealer. However upon returning from out of state SoCal told me that the financial company had impound in my car or repossessed my car and that I could not get it back unless I paid over $6000 for a car that I bid 4300 on quality financial denied that accusation and said they no longer are the lienholder that it’s up to the dealer. This was on February 18 that SoCal decided to keep my car February 20 they listed it for sale for $6250 . I have lost my money I have lost my car I never received my plates or my registration. According to the DMV’s sales tax calculator they charged me more than double for my sales tax and that’s documented in the purchase invoice. I think that’s a crime.
