1 starI bought an ECH38665A Executive chair on Dec 30, 2024. I genuinely like the chair for comfort and fit. The issue is that after 4 months, the center stitching on the leather seat is separating. I am not anywhere near the chair rating for weight as I only weigh 180 pounds. I sent a note to the parts department asking them to replace the seat, but they sent back a response quoting the warranty that states" Leather is not warranted against routine scratching and scuffing, as leather is subject to minor blemishes in use"I fail to see how a seam that is splitting open after 4 months is scratching or scuffing. I wrote them back but they have now gone silent after that email exchange. This is too bad as the chair is comfortable, but I cannot afford to replace it every 4 months and will not purchase another chair from Office Star.Review fromsasan n

I ordered a chair from this company, but the package arrived late and contained a broken piece. Twelve days have passed, and despite several emails and phone calls, nothing has changed.Office Star Products

I bought an office star Pro Line II chair from staples and it seemed like a good chair, and the lifetime warranty seemed great, so I bought another one a couple of years later. I was originally told that all the wood and metal stuff was lifetime, and the fabric and foam were just 3 years, which was fine.Fast-forward to now and the wood and plastic up inside the backrest has broken in the second chair. **************** is telling me that the section of the warranty that says lifetime on component parts "including" cylinder, controls, base, and casters doesn't really mean "including by not limited to" it means "only". So effectively, she's saying that the foam and fabric are three years, those 4 parts are lifetime, and everything else isn't under warranty long enough to get it out of the box. They still sell the chair, and I can order a new backrest (which kinda makes me think "Then that's a component I can order from parts, how is it not a component part?") and it is probably cheaper than buying a new chair. But I'm seriously considering buying a new chair from a different brand anyway just because of the bad taste this "bait and switch" warranty has left.Office Star Products

The new backrest has arrived without any further hassle, and everything's fine again. According to the **** this is the way the warranty claim was supposed to have gone from the beginning. So, hopefully, others won't have this much trouble in the future. As I said before, this chair and the one I bought even before this one have been great chairs, and this is the only issue I've had with them, so I'd add more stars if I could.Review fromMonica H

I bought a small console that when I unpacked it was missing half of the hardware needed to assemble. Tried to use the computer generated parts order form. I was able to fill in name, address and model #. The field for parts needed were not working. This was on a Sunday. On Monday I called Office Star Products to order the missing parts. (Keep in mind, not my mistake that the parts are missing. 1 1/2 hours trying to fill form on Sunday.). The unhelpful customer service told me to find somebody to help fill the form. Im 73 and new in my community, dont know anybody to help. I called Office Star for that help since it is their system. The customer service representative hung up on me. So I have a console that needs parts and Office Star has an unhappy customer. Where is the customer service that in mentioned in their corporate mission statement?Office Star Products

I purchased a OfficeStar office chair through their authorized store and it has a defect on the front of the seat cushion. I called OfficeStar and they told me to send them pictures along with receipt documentation which I did. Being that I did not here from them I emailed them again. It is a simple fix, just send me a replacement bottom seat cushion. Thanks **********Office Star Products

Awful chairs and HORRIBLE customer service representatives. I have been dealing with Office Star for over a year now. They will not return my phone calls or respond to my email. Stating on April 3, 2023 to present, 13 days of emails and three different representatives and I have three of four kitchen chairs broken. The first agent I delt with said "return them to amazon" as if that was typical protocol. Shouldn't a company stand behind their product and be concerned about safety? The third chair that broke was occupied by my elderly mother in law and she fell to the ground. I have every email, phone call documented along with pictures of the damaged chairs and the damaged boxes they arrived in. I'm stunned a company can operate this way.Office Star Products

I have purchased multiple office chairs from Office Star with lifetime warranties through an authorized reseller. In 2018 I contacted Office Star and issued a warranty claim for the piston in my first chair. They processed the claim and sent out the replacement part. I was pleased enough with the experience that I bought a second chair. This year the piston failed in the second chair. When I reached out to the parts department, Cathleen told me that the chair was discontinued. When I pressed further, she said I could purchase replacement pistons for ~$40 shipped each. If the chair is discontinued, but there are replacement parts, why isn't this covered under the warranty that I already paid for? The foam arms, which are also supposed to be under warranty (although probably not lifetime,) are completely disintegrating. I will likely try to find replacements elsewhere that aren't foam. They wanted more for the arm replacements than the piston. It's not a terrible price for the pistons, so I will probably proceed with the order. The pistons last about 3-4 years it seems. The pistons are listed as part of the lifetime warranty, so I expected that this would be a warranty claim. When pressed, she ignored the question. I have yet to be able to get in contact with the accounting department to process that order. I also see that replacement chairs now come with a five year warranty instead. I wonder what the reduction in warranty time is for? I would not recommend, at this time, doing business with Office Star, although the chairs were made well in other ways.Office Star Products

Horrible customer service for missing parts. Purchased a desk model ******** (vision desk) from RC W*****. There were no instructions, missing screws to attach the keyboard holder to the desk and missing screws to hold 2 pieces which help to distribute weight on the glass. I emailed their parts departments 2 times 10 days apart and NEVER got a response, they do NOT talk to you they say MUST email parts dept. I called and was transferred to the Parts Department and got a voicemail so I left a message for them to either email me back or call me and still 48 hours later, nothing. DO NOT do business with this company called OFFICESTAR they dont care about customer service. Next step is calling RC W***** and telling them I will disassemble the desk and returning the desk. Officestar will likely say COVID is the root cause of their lack of customer service.Office Star Products
