UCI performed a 45 minute outpatient procedure on 2/18/22. A 1/2 inch cyst was to be removed from a big toe.My wife requested but UCI would not provide the procedure cost before the procedure was performed.UCI billed $22,732. ********** covered $18,594. Our coinsurance was $4,137.The cyst was not fully removed. The discomfort remains. We disputed the cost with UCI. UCI stated the fees are not negotiable. Account No. ************

I went to ER to seek help with dehydration due to the medications I was taking, requested IV fluids and they reported me as Covid-19 positive which they charged my insurance company a large amount of money for the 8 hours of stay. The female doctor who came in the morning duty was also rude. After over a year I have been receiving calls from their billing department that I owe another $1711.33! I also work in a healthcare industry. Have they not received more than enough federal funding for Covid-19 patients that they had to charge our insurance and milk it until we're dry?!!! I already paid my balance and share as soon as I returned from work in 2021 and I also have a receipt. I should not have any **** from them!

I have met my out-of-pocket *** through my insurance, and did not have to pay a $200 co-pay to use the Emergency Room. I have been promised a refund and was told to wait 2-3 weeks after March 8th, however I am still waiting. I called back, and they mentioned that it has been pending and to wait a few more days. A few more days pass, and they explain that it hasn't been processed. I call back again and someone mentions that they would forward to their manager and call me back in a few hours, and no call is returned. I cannot retrieve my refund from *** Medical Center and it has been more than a month now..
