I had a month to month non contractual auto insurance policy with AAA that I could cancel and any time as I did not sign a contract to keep for any length of time. I cancelled and changed to my old insurance because AAA was too expensive and they required me to use a safe driving app that I no longer wanted to use because I travel state to state. AAA sent the remaining balance of the policy to collections. I have dispute this debt with the collection agency but they will not stop calling me and ruining my credit because they say I need to provide AAA the name of the company I changed to. What legal authority does AAA or AWA collections have to ask for this and thusly send me to collections for not providing it they are not a legal entitiy. *** continues to call me although I asked them to cease calling me. I am not required to provide *** or AAA proof of insurance to stop billing on a policy I cancelled and was not obliated to keep.Initial Complaint

On May 18, 2024 I sent a letter to AWA Collections which stated, I am wrong to express my dissatisfaction with your recent attempt to collect a debt from me, account number *********, regarding a purported overdue balance of $1,575 allegedly owed to ************* This account is fraudulent and does not belong to me, I have attached an FTC report along with this document. I am requesting the following, 1.Immediate Cease of reporting this alleged debt to any *********************** 2. A formal apology from AWA COLLECTIONS for the violation of my rights under the ****** 3. Compensation for emotional distress and inconvenience caused by your unlawful collection efforts, in the amount of $1,000. 4. Reimbursement of any legal fees incurred in addressing this matter. On May 24, 2024 I sent a complaint to the **** about AWA Collections with my letter, a copy of my ID, and copy of my FTC report of the fraudulent item being reported to my credit report. I am seeking help today because I have yet to hear from this company and the fraudulent account is still reporting to my credit. (Please see attachments).Initial Complaint

I checked my credit reports recently and I noticed a collection from AWA Collections Agency trying to collect on an account I didnt sign a contract with this company the original creditor is ************ I dispute the account # ********* with the ******************** and asked for a signed contract with them but there were unable to provide that documentation this account is in direct violation or the fair credit reporting act sec 602 1581 (a) (1) -(4)Initial Complaint

I never received and have not to this day.
