FCR is calling and texting me in attempt to collect a fee for a textbook- of which I paid the school for directly. The school informed me that FCR has the access to confirm if payment has been made, however FCR has not done this. I believe they are operating fraudulently in an attempt to collect additional fees. They will most likely respond with a scripted response saying they could not verify the debt with a person other than the intended party yada yada yada - which has absolutely no bearing on the fact they should be verifying the status of debts prior to contacting people. I will most likely file suit against the school and FCR but in the meantime consumer protection or whatever authoritative entity should tighten down on these sketchy business practices.

      ***********************,

Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us, we appreciate the opportunity to address all customer complaints and concerns. After reviewing the communication history, it appears that you previously requested a letter in July of 2021 and stated that after the letter was received you would follow up to discuss the matter. After mailing the requested notice we were unable to discuss the matter with you further.

FCR has filed a dispute on your behalf with ****** and Noble to verify the payment mentioned in this notification. We would have been more than happy to dispute this information previously, but this complaint is the first indication we received that this account was paid previously with the bookstore.

Per your request FCR has also marked your information as DO NOT CONTACT so you will no longer receive correspondence from us. If you wish to discuss this further, feel free to contact us at ************** Monday Friday between 6:30 am 4:30 pm PT.

      Regards,

This is about the constant robocalls I keep getting from FCR Services. They may be a legit company but they do not keep up to date with the information they have been given. All they care about is their collection fee that they can earn. We had a dispute about a textbook which was solved and resolution was established by both sides. Did FCR bother to check on this? Did FCR just continue to try to collect a debt that was cancelled? No. They just kept on calling and calling and bothering us. I called them to investigate and all they could do was stonewall me and say they had a debt. When I asked them to look into the original request to see if it was still valid they just ignored me and said they have information that we owe for the textbook. If they are the upstanding company that they say they are they should have better communication skills and better information. Perhaps they should either better train their employees or increase the quality of their information and instruction ****** better yet, do both and leave the rest of us alone!

Thank you for taking the time to reach out and alert us of the issues you encountered. We appreciate the opportunity to review all unsatisfactory interactions a customer may have had.

We were able to identify information in our system with the provided phone number. After reviewing, it appears we did reach an unidentified individual at *************), however due to 3rd party disclosure rules FCR is not permitted to disclose any details without the customers authorization. During the phone call the representative informed the answering party that due to the nature of the information we would need the customers authorization to disclose any details or discuss the matter further. Unfortunately,we still have not received any consent from the customer and cannot discuss the matter further with the individual submitting this complaint.

Due to the information received in this complaint, we have elevated a request to our client for additional information and have marked the number provided *************) as a wrong number to avoid further communication.

      Thank you,

      ***********************

I keep getting regular calls and text messages from FCR Services, telling me that I owe them money for textbook rental fees. My high school paid for my text books so there is no fee. I also called the college book store and had them check my account , they show no unpaid balance. I have even talked to them on the phone and told them all of this information, but they still won't stop calling me.
