    Purchased heat pump for pool. Model 8450TI-E on 02/18/2024. Item Number 016033, Serial Number W1******50. Unit was installed on April 22, 2024. Low pressure trip error was displayed. Contract warranty department and service technician came out on May 6, 2024 to diagnose the problem. There was no refrigerant in unit. They need permission from Raypak to continue to solve the problem. I paid service invoice directly. They didn’t respond to service company in regards how to proceed with fixing the unit only to find out Raypak owed the service company for many open invoices. Service company agreed to come back to diagnose where leak was. They came back out on May 16, 2024 and again, I paid for service call, when everything is under warranty. The unit is leaking from a coil and they suggest a new unit since the heater never worked upon installation. I have contact Raypak everyday since and no one can give me an answer on what the next steps are. We paid over $5000 for the unit and now $750 to service a unit that is under warranty. I am hoping someone can help get this situation rectified.

    My gas pool heater lasted one season. I live in Panhandel of Florida. I have it indoors vented out roof. Combustion air vent. Anoid on inlet to pool heater. Chemicals are profeesionally maintained. End of second season come April I decided to warm it up. Have not used it due to wife having surgery. I notified Raypak of leak. They come back with registration forms. Before I could even complete that. They closed my case , and would not respond to me. I been in the HVAC, and boiler business for 30 years. I know my business. I installed it properly , and maintained it properly. It started leaking out in a little sream , and prior to that the LED on control board half faded out. I spoke to them today 12/07/2023. Well too bad. I waited to long waiting on them. Guess what I won't be installing no more in the future RHEEM / RAYPAK. I always said about their HVAC product they will RHEEM you. My sugestion to anyone ! Stay away from RAYPAK. I even asked if they pro rate it or I pay shipping or work something to get it fixed. NOPE!!! Well my handicap wife won't get her rehab swiming in yet. Been waiting. Guess going to have to go to a different maker.
