    They changed the operation of a smoke alarm sensor I bought, and refuse to refund me for it. It shouldn't be legal to make your device useless with a change in policy or software. If they had simply given me a credit to the value of the device I no longer want, I would have been happy. But their customer service is horrible. Don't expect them to make you feel valued as a customer. I will be cancelling my service and selling my many devices, since at this point I feel completely ripped off.

    Had an issue with a system I ordered where 2 sensors didn't work. Since it is security, I did not want to tinker on the system and hoped it worked, it needs to work and be reliable. I returned the unit after waiting a week for a return authorization and now have been waiting for over a business week after they received the items back for a refund with a answer of "we have contacted accounting, please be patient". I am patient, but, waiting this long for a refund is excessive, and at this point I have to dispute the charges as not to pay interest for waiting too long.

    I wish I knew about their lack of accreditation before purchasing their equipment and annual subscription plan. Purchased equipment in December ************************ January 2023 when I purchased my new home. Continuous connectivity issues with switching between cell and ethernet so I'd get these notifications every 10 minutes, which was annoying af.Contacted customer service and although they were friendly, they were not helpful because the issues were never fully resolved.The doorbell would record people leaving as opposed to when they initially approached the door and rang the doorbell. Basically captured people walking away. Outdoor cameras was advertised as wireless but turns out that was a lie because it must be plugged in to a power source at all times. Paid $180 for an annual subscription and they're refusing to issue a refund of my money for the remaining 8.5 months. This is on top of not issuing a refund for the faulty equipment because I had it for more than 30 days. This business is a scam and not worth the headache. DO NOT BUY ABODE PRODUCTS!!! There's better out there, keep searching!

    My recent experience suggests that Abode should not be in the mission critical product business. ******** systems are mission critical. On 11/23/22, I installed the 7.0 firmware upgrade to the Abode Iota Gateway. This disconnected the Gateway from WiFi and it would not reconnect. On 11/26/22, I contacted Abode support via email and phone. After nearly an hour, they could not get my Gateway reconnected, but promised to roll back the firmware and call me back in an hour. This did not happen. On 11/27, I managed to get the Gateway reconnected to WiFi by myself. It had the 7.0 firmware and was working fine. On 11/30, an Abode tech support agent emailed me to apologize for the 3 day delay in getting back to me, saying they were overwhelmed with support calls. He said that he had just put an alternate version of the firmware on my Gateway. This immediately disconnected it from WiFi. After unsuccessfully trying myself to reconnect it, I reinstalled the 7.0 firmware. It finally reconnected a couple of hours later. Putting out a firmware upgrade that renders systems inoperable and then not having the technical support resources to timely get customers back up shows that Abode is not a solution for anyone who relies on a security system for their safety.
