      I have canceled my membership several times, yet, they continue to charge me. I have also tried to contact the gym and have not been able to get this resolved. I was told by ******** it would be refunded on June 6, 2024 it's now July 4, 2024 and have not been refunded. I have tried to contact them several times but no one answers the phone or if they do they will keep me on hold and then hang up the phone. I have also messaged them and have been left on "read" with no reply.

      I have been a member of Speakeasy Fitness since 2021 & have seen many cracks in their business. Today, the gym processed an additional 10$ charge on-top of my gym membership that was unauthorized & unwarranted. I only owed 37$ & they charged 45$. They also charged me in 5 separate charges of 10$ & 5$, very weird. When I tried to address the concern via phone, *******, the manager was incredibly unhelpful and rude. She tried to say I still owed 2$ for a service fee but if my membership is 32$ plus a 4.99 service fee, the $45 you took was well over enough to cover that. I am very confused & rather disgusted at the business practices and blatantly stealing money from your clients. Regardless any late fees are charges after 10 days late. My payment was made June 3, not passing the 10 days to qualify for any additional fees.

      I updated my payment method online, however, they failed to update the 2nd membership that is attached to the main membership. I updated my payment method accordingly as soon as the gym mentioned that the payment method for the second membership failed. (I changed banks due to fraud). I was told on the phone by **** that the late fee would be waived. However, when I went into the location, ***** helped me with the update, didn't mention anything about a late fee and I noticed the fee the next day. When I went to ask about it, they said it's already been drafted and cannot do anything when in fact there is a way to issue a refund. The obvious excuse is the system limitation. This is unacceptable as I've never been late before. Things happen and people and businesses need to understand this.

      I signed up with the gym for a membership. For some reason they signed me up as TWO PEOPLE and started billing me for TWO PEOPLE. I am only one person so I do not know where they saw fit to sign me up as two. I went in an complained and they said they would rectify it. They continued to bill me for TWO PEOPLE. This seems to me like a fraudulent practice. Again, I am one person, I never attempted to sign up for a second person so where they found a second person to bill onto my account is weird to me. I no longer trust this business to do the right thing and would like to cancel my membership and get full refund. I do not trust them because I gave then several chances to rectify the issue and they told me they had but they are still billing me for two people meaning, they lied.

      October 30, 2023 I signed up on the premise of the advertised 1 FACILITY ENHANCEMENT FEE (screenshot proofs available) with **************************** (who is no longer there). I was charged 2 in a matter of 2 months ($59.00 each for a total of $118) I would have NEVER AGREED to this if he had provided me with the option of PAYING IN FULL. I called ********, ****** (spoke to ******) and *************** location and all membership advisors, stated that it's the membership's advisors job to provide all OPTIONS to the future member. He also failed to disclose there is an additional $5.00/mo fee if you elect to use a credit card/debit card for your monthly dues.

      This gym has unsafe and dirty conditions and has consistently failed to address the issue, all the while charging patrons "enhancement fees".The major issues include:-Black mold in the women's locker room and other spaces in the gym -Leaks all over the building that is completely ignored, creating wet, slippery spaces and adding to the mold issue -Wet stairs - Dirty facilities, including dirty paper towels in the sauna, broken and unsafe parts in the women's sauna, including holes in the sauna bench and detached barrier in the sauna -Dirty showers and restrooms -Broken hand dryers -Broken equipment -Gum on the sauna bench I've spoken to the front desk multiple times about the conditions. I've also sent text messages and emails regarding all of the above. Nothing has changed, and the issues persist.

      Hi, I am a member at the Speakeasy gym in the city of Reseda, **.This is a genuine complaint and concern regarding the facility. During the rain the entire gym has been flooded, equipment (machines, restroom facilities - sink has no running water) not working properly, and place is always dirty and hardly cleaned.They continue to charge me my monthly membership dues which I can no longer allow as this facility is not safe and maintained for proper utilization. I have tried to speak to employees on site and they state that theres nothing they can do. I asked if I can speak to the manager or owner and unfortunately I am unable to get a hold of them because employees stated that they are not allowed to provide that contact information to me. We need assistance from the BBB to step in and attempt to get a hold of the owner because a normal consumer is unable to do anything at this point even with bad reviews on Yelp. I a greatly appreciate any assistance - if additional information is needed please feel free to reach out to me.

      I had paused my account in December since I wouldnt be able to attend, I wasnt supposed to be charged for two months, but they charged me in ******* when they said I wouldnt be charged for ******* and February. Also Ive been trying to call them but they dont answer the phone it goes straight to voicemail.

      Hello,I have been trying to cancel my gym membership for months and always get the run around. The gym refuses to allow me to cancel my membership, I even tried calling the bank to avoid these transactions, but somehow this company is still taking my money without my consent. I have not used to facility and over six months.I spoke to **** he claimed to be the owner and was super rude made me feel harassed and spoke to me in an aggressive manner. I need a refund for my last payments. And for my cancellation. I I have sent numerous emails to this company. I will not get a response from them but continue to remove money from my account without my consent. At this point, I feel that they are doing fraud, and stealing.
