    This site charged my card an additional $19.95 when I only purchased the $1.95. Now I have to cancel my card and dispute the transaction because they refuse to refund me my money back. The background check is c*** and a waste of time you could use ****** for free. THEY NEED TO BE BAND FOR SCAMMING CUSTOMERS!

    SCAM ~ BEWARE I purchased 1 search for 95 cents like 5 days ago and woke up at 3:30am this morning with an email from the fraud detection center via my personal bank. Spokeo charged me $29.95 WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. DO NOT TRUST THIS WEBSITE BECAUSE THEY ATTEMPTED TO TAKE MONEY FROM ME AND NOW I HAVE TO VISIT MY BANK FOR A NEW CARD.

    Nope ~ I never paid for a trial. Your company scams innocent people and I'm glad the fraud department reached out to me to avoid any further unnecessary charges. I had to disable my previous bank card and get a new one because SPOKEO is clearly known to be fraudulent or my bank would have never reached out at 3:30 am. I think the owner and supervisors should be told to Stop taking advantage of people. I will be sure to let the public know to keep others safe. I would have never started a negative review for no reason. Whoever is leaving a comment, you need to realize that this is seriously FRAUDULENT and you making it "appear" a different way is just shady and highly suspicious.People BEWARE!

    I payed a one time fee to receive information on Spokeo. They charged me $0.95 on Jan. 25 and then proceeded to charge me monthly for a subscription membership today which I never consented to. I have not received and did not find any extra service for this subscription.

    I received an unexpected charge on my credit card through ****** for a subscription to Spokeo. I don't even know what that is. When I called to get it refunded, they would only refund $11 of the $29.95. And then the employee told me the only reason they did that was because they care so much about their customers. I am a retired disabled Senior Citizen and really can't afford this unexpected and unwarranted charge. This company seems very uncaring and taking advantage of people. ******. Seems like a racket to me.

    I was doing a background check and got basic information for $14.95 but it was not accurate based on my knowledge of the person. I paid $19.95 extra for more detailed information based on their promotion of unlocking more public records hoping the information would be clarified with more details. When the extra report was finished and I opened it up it had the same exact information in it that the basic report had - nothing more, nothing less. I called Spokeo and asked for refunds because both reports had obvious errors in them based on my knowledge of the person. Spokeo gave me the $14.95 refund but refused to give me the $19.95 refund because the customer service representative said "the report had information in it so we don't give refunds on that level." I said "even though the information was the same and wrong?" He said "yes." Spokeo is a scam. Don't use them.

    Strange response. Looks like a form letter with typos. My only other suggestion to people is to check yourself or someone you know BEFORE you get scammed into paying for additional information. Then you will know if you are being scammed

    This is definitely a scam that this business needs to be shut down and sued. I have my account not active for while now and its still charging my account ***** a month cause of 0.95$ I also have the statements to prove this. I just need refund. Also I see everyone comments and spokeo says the same thing to each customer. Definitely a scam it doesnt even say about the *****$ renewal for every month. And please spokeo dont comment I can see you saying the same thing to everyone who complains. You deserve to be sued and shut down period this very bad business.
