  In August 2022, I hired Bruce Roofing California ***** license # ****** to fix roof leaks at the perimeter of my house. ************************* is the owner of the company. He was referred to me by a local #1 realtor agent. I trusted this agent and without further hesitation I hired Bruce Roofing California *** to fix my roof. I paid him $8930 to fix a total of 12 leaking spots. He offered two year warranty and promised what he fixed would never leak again. After the rain, spots where Bruce Roofing California, *** fixed still showing water stains. ****** sent his roofer back to fix but his roofer came and pounding around the roof and complained that its the design of the roof and within an hour he disappeared. Then he sent another roofer and showed up late in the afternoon right before sunset and still didnt solve the problem. ****** started to ignore my texts and when he responded he stated that he didnt adopt the whole roof and accusing me of adding new areas for him to fix. I showed him all the pictures that I sent him before and after the repair to prove that all of the areas that were still leaking are on the contracts. Rains in August hit it all, most the spots he fixed were still leaking.On 8/28/23, he responded that he would probably just send somebody over. I texted and called ****** multiple times to ask him when he can schedule the roofer to come. Until today, he hasnt and I knew he wouldnt send anyone anymore. Instead of waiting, I paid $4500 to another roofer to do all the repairs of the roof that Bruce Roofing California, *** was supposed to complete.I asked ****** for a 50% refund and he wanted me to show him the information of the company that I hired to finish his job which I think its irrelevant since ****** aware of he still needed to work on my roof.I dont think ****** will refund what I asked for but I want to warn others of his unprofessional, poor workmanship that I received from Bruce Roofing California, ***

  Bruce Roofing just wrapped up a beautiful job for us. They were referred to us by a well-known, local, realtor. Although his bid was among the highest, his thoroughness and professionalism were the most important factors in our decision. Just before we were scheduled to begin the ordeal, of staying at our house during re-roofing, Shelby came out to double-check his estimation. He discovered our garage did not have plywood under the composition tile. He double-checked our house and discovered the same to be true . . . resulting in a significant increase in his bid. We put him in touch with our insurance adjuster. Shelby provided the State Farm Adjuster photos and an explanation that assured the adjuster the increase in settlement was warranted. His team(s) of delivery personnel, tear-off squad, roofers and clean-up crews were punctual, courteous and very efficient. Our family worried that, with the Southern California rainy season being upon us, we would be in for an awful ordeal. Shelby explained that he monitored the U.S. Weather Bureau long-range predictions and chose a week that would bring us clear weather. He was absolutely right. We did get a short rainfall . . . the day AFTER they wrapped everything up. ** *** ******* ******* **
