We have used 2 Momentum cameras for years at a charge of $5.99 per month. We stopped using the cameras in early March of this year and cancelled our subscription to the Momentum service, They just billed us on 4/9/2025 the $5.99 charge. The account was closed a month ago. I have tried to contact Momentum through email and calls with no success. It appears they are now owned by Apollo Tech USA. I have not found a way to reach a person at Apollo Tech USA so I am filing this complaint in hopes of a quick resolution. I would appreciate if they would not bill us anymore and verify our account is closed rather than have me have to go through the work of disputing their charge next month on my credit card. I don't like having to resort to filing a complaint but it appears others are having the same problem I am having. I don't see why I should have to spend so much of my time to get them to do what they should have done last month. I have provided addition information to the BBB in the form of a Word document with additional information.Business Response

I have had multiple home security cameras for many years with this company. Have the paid subscription automatically charged monthly to my account. Never had a problem until recently. Mid January the app stopped working. I have emailed multiple times, and called at all times of the day. Phone appears to be out of service, and not one reply to my emails. Within the last day or two their website was shut down. Yet I was just billed the monthly charge! No warning at all! No way to cancel, and they had better stop billing me. I have disputed recent charge with my bank, but that can take up to 90 days. This company are thieves. ******Business Response

I have been trying to cancel this subscription for a couple of months. On December 4th this company asked me to fill out a form with my info so they can cancel my account. They still charged me for the subscription on Dec 16th. I've asked them for a time frame on how long this takes and they will not answer me. They keep saying the same thing - they have sent it to the subscription department. I had to cancel my bank card because of this company. They are a scam! I purchased security cameras. The company is owned by Apollo tech but they are Momentum Cameras. I have used them for years at this point. We had glitches here and there, but nothing major. Now the camera app and site will not send notifications, which is needed for security. I have requested a partial refund for the subscription multiple times and they will not respond to it. I have completed all of their "troubleshooting", which has not corrected the problem. I have called them but their phones are "out of service currently". I have emailed well over 20 times and they refuse to get to a resolution. I really would like a *** to call and try to figure this out or give me a prorated refund for the subscription that is not working. Like I said, these worked pretty well for years and now they are not sending notifications to my wife and I's phone. Both phones starting not receiving notifications the same day and all setting are set to what the company has told us.Business Response

Apollo has contacted its software provider to cancel the subscription.
Per software provider (10-18):
I have canceled the subscription and added a credit for $67.89 to the account for the prorated refund amount.
Because the consumer has blocked his credit card.
The $67.89 refund could not return.
Apollo will email the consumer to un-block credit card for refund purpose.

Company still charging us for a service we don't want any.ore for last 2 months and we tired repeatedly to change the mouthing subscription to the free one and it won't let us and keeping going to blank page after making changes get we want. Contact information is garbage calling them is a Waste of time and effort on our part as we wish to just be done. Best advise I can give future customers is upload a **** gift with no money on it and let the. I purchased a pack of 2 **** outdoor cameras at bestbuy 10/26/21. Only to attempt to use them recently and discovered that I cannot as the software provider went out of business. I received an email detailing that I wont be able to use the cameras after a certain date some time ago. The product has been lost and I have tried to cancel the subscription account tied to it. The company's website has an option to switch to the 'free plan' but the website is broken and will not switch the plan. The company responded to my initial email asking for the product serial number, but the product has been lost and I do not have the serial number. I purchased 4 Teri Cameras from Amazon. Momentum Teri 1080P Outdoor Wire-Free Security System with 2X Battery Cameras. The first set, ORDER # 112-8###-###-####635 on July 13, 2021, and the other ORDER # 112-*******-******* on Nov 30, 2021. Later on, I received the attached email "You will not be able to use the camera for any services including live stream after December 31, 2022" and there was no response or support from the seller and the manufacturer.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: At the time of the purchase, it was several options available for me. I trusted you as a U.S based Company. You need to be responsible for your product because you want to continue your business in the U.S. I am actually expecting you to provide me with 4 substitute cameras or a full refund. I know the other two ways for filing a complaint (****************) are time consuming and I prefer to get it resolved here at BBB.

I purchased a camera system from the named company that no longer supports and has no intention of supporting one of their camera systems. Meaning they are useless. You can not use these camera services at all. This particular camera system was the Momentum Teri. They are continuing to allow this item to be sold in stores with the knowledge of knowing that they will not work. I have contacted them and was told they do not support this item and the stores are just selling out the inventory of their product. This is ridiculous. I asked for a solution because I observe my stroke victim mother while at work. They have told me that if interested, I could go unto their website and purchase a different one of their camera systems. I'm thinking, that in six months - the same situation will happen. I would like for this business to be cited for selling items they are no longer supporting and allowing their camera systems (TERI) to be sold with this knowledge. And doing nothing to help existing customers. Now, I'm left with anxiety until I can get another camera system. BUT NOT FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:As stated before, I’m not the only one who has never received this supposedly letter. There are other complaints against this company that has never received a notification like this. I saw on other complaints that they received some type of compensation for this issue. I would like the same. This company appears to not be honorable- standing by the products they sell. They are responsible for the products they sell and should not leave the customers with this type of dilemma. This is not a legitimate company and should be shut down because it will happen again - and then they will state the same. They get rich and customers like me lose money. THIS IS A SCAM!!!!!!!
