NEVER use this gym. I am perusing a fraudulent charge against them. They operate illegally and immorally. My account had been on freeze and was about to come back online, but I was affected by the LA fires and called them to let them know I would like to continue to pause for a little longer until I was physically able to go back to the gym and had recovered financially. They could not help me and put me through to several others who informed that I could attempt a freeze myself online, which I did and to my surprise I received notification that they had cancelled my account, this was without my consent, which is illegal. I therefore was unable to freeze or cancel my account myself due to cancellation pending. So I waited for it to be cancelled by them but was still charged monthly for it. I contacted the 3rd party company who they work through and informed them of this and only at that point did they tell me that they were waiting for my written consent in order to cancel my account -they never informed me of this either so this is also illegal. I would have been charged for it indefinitely had I not looked up an email to contact about this issue (nobody was able to help via phone). I complained and included screenshots of their cancellation emails and asked to be refunded for the months I was charged after this and they refused to do so. This is absolutely horrendous. Especially given Id been affected by an emergency to begin with. I did not want to cancel my account intially but now I will never use this company and will warn all others against it. When I was able to speak to the 3rd party on the phone there was a language barrier and again they said they could not help me. Incredibly they informed me Id continue to be charged for another month!!!Initial Complaint

****** **** Fitness 19 I suffer from Light Deficiency syndrome ( LDS) One of the reasons Ive joined 19 was to get both Red Light treatment and sun light ( tanning chamber) neither of these "machines" are in working order and have not been functioning for weeks. The red light chamber has 21 tube lights out with only 17 working. The tanning rooms door has been locked for weeks. So , how many trainers does it take to change a light bulb ?Initial Complaint

I am reaching out regarding my prepaid one-year membership with 19 Fitness. I recently relocated to a new address that is more than 25 miles away from the nearest 19 Fitness facility or any affiliated clubs under the same ownership. Bank statement, house purchase closing contract and ****** map snip which shows no active 19 fitness business around my new area are attached.Following the store manager's instructions, I contacted ************* regarding this matter. Despite multiple follow-ups, I have not received any response to my cancellation request submitted on 11/26/2024. My membership contract began on 3/28/2024 and paid 12 months membership in full, and I am requesting a prorated refund for the unused portion of my membership, which amounts to $90.78.I kindly ask for your assistance in processing this refund. I had cancelled the membership within a few days of signing up, and received verbal confirmation over the phone that this was completed. 6 months later, they proceeded to charge me for membership dues which I had already cancelled, and sent it for collections. On or around July 2023 I joined the fitness 19 Perris location. All was fine, then maybe August I noticed my knees and back got worse My doctor has advice I go ahead and have the surgery. I have tried and tried to terminate my membership, however all they will give me is a 3 month frezze. I am a 64 soon to be 65 year old woman, my issue has gotten worse and I am unable to participate. On 01/22 I cancelled membership with Fitness 19 per person to person notification . I observed bank statements on 08/23 that Fitness 19 was still withdrawing membership fees. I informed bank and Fitness19 via phone that I am no longer in ********** and membership had been cancelled. Repeatedly called Fitness 19 with no resolution of the cancelled membership. My wife received a voicemail on 04/04/24 that we still owed for membership since 08/23. I contacted Fitnes 19 who 's representative stated I still showed a membership. I finally contacted ABCfitness which handles billing and paid $110 dollars to cancel account. This ************************************ had been called numerous times concerning my cancellation requests. No one assisted in making that happen call me back.Business Response

I joined fitness 19 back in 11/15/22 with just a membership and a trainer I was told I could cancel any timefrom what I was told and going into 4 week I asked to cancel i was told I cant due to me still having to be under contract for 2-3 months got charged around $250 , I then go in to have it cancelled Im told it got cancelled , 2 weeks go by and no charge to my account , so Im to believe Im off ur system and as 3 months go by I check my bank and see I got charged a total of another $250 , I then call and emailed stating I wanna cancel everything from you guys im told I cant because I have to be their in person to sign documents I tell them I cant due to work and school and not having any time to go in they tell my they can freeze my account for 3 months I tell them to do that so I can make time to go in and cancel , turn out I got charged throughout the freeze and so I make time and i go in and try to cancel and I bring up the topic of whats the point of having me type in and make a code to input into ur computer and still getting charged even though im not putting in my code when in the beginning I was told the code is to show when I go in and I would be charged when I input the code and I was also told I never submitted any email to cancel , but from the entire time and continuing to try to cancel im being charged and Im telling them I wanna be off ur system and im told im off it and once again im getting charged for another $250 + on top of being double charged sometimes and Ive gotten charged over 25+ times for the ******** fitness charge every week !!!!!!! And already lost a good amount of money because of ur guys systems and every time I went in they said they said I cant or they can freeze it and not once did they freeze it and not a single time did they take me off ur systemsBusiness Response

Upon thorough account review, it's been observed that a freeze was imposed between June 11th and September 11th, resulting in missed billing days. Attached is a check-in report for member ***********************, revealing no check-ins beyond June subsequent to the freeze implementation. This absence of check-ins implies a pause in billing to allow *********************** the opportunity to attend and cancel the training. Notably, there is currently no signed cancellation form on record for the training.
Effective December 29, 2023, ******'s training will be terminated. However, all funded sessions will remain accessible on the account and can be utilized at any future point in time.Initial Complaint

Hello My name is ************************* and i been a long term customer of ********************** in ***************** for years. I recently signed up for personal training classes with a trainer and was given prices which i agreed to pay $200 for 4 sessions. I've noticed in the past months that i have charged $100 every 30th, 3rd and 5th of the month when i clearly told the personal trainer that i no longer needed services. I went in person to the facility and tried to resolved my situation, however, one of the managers explained to me that their system cannot give refunds and i asked him if he could please cancel my personal training sessions. The manager also told me that i had to talk to the trainer to resolve the situation, however, the trainer has not been in the facility for the past weeks.I did not authorized fitness 19 to charge my account nor to proceed with my personal training sessions.Business Response
