i have an American Home Shield Service Agreement. *** hired Service 1 to perform a service on my home. After their initial assessment they collected $1120.00 (11/02/2022) for a Freon charge above the *** *** payable amount. They were scheduled to perform the work on 11/10/2022 (afternoon 12PM-1Pm arrival). I paid a property manager to be on site to let Service 1 access the property. Service 1 did not show for their appointment and my manager left at approximately 2:30PM. Service 1 has not provided a reason, any communication for that matter or a refund. You can see below where they report to *** they completed the job. They could not access the home. They could not have completed the job.Initial Complaint

On March 6, 2022, the tenant in one of my rentals, a single mom and 2 small children, called me to report that her furnace was making a very loud noise and it was not heating a large portion of the house. I submitted a service request to the home warranty company, American Home Shield. AHS assigned the repair request to Service 1 Heating & Air Conditioning, in *******, on that date. Several days later Service 1 contacted me to schedule the repair. The rep said the next available appointment was March 16 and, though I explained the situation, he said he was unable to get out there any earlier, so I agreed to have the tenant meet him on that date. I knew that Service 1 was required by the contract to send a report to AHS within 24 hours to so that repairs could be authorized, so I waited a couple of days. According to my tenant the technician from Service 1 was very abrupt and unprofessional. He did tell her that a part needed to be replaced in the furnace and that several ducts were torn and looked as if an animal had chewed on them. It is now March 25, and I have called both the warranty company and Select 1 heating & A/C numerous times. It has been 9 days since the service call and Select 1 Heating & A/C has still not submitted their service report to AHS, so my tenant and her children have been without heat for 19 days. I have left numerous phone messages at Select 1 Heating& A/C, none of which have been returned. This companys blatant disregard for their customers is unfathomable and reflects a total lack of integrity and professionalism. By failing to meet their obligations to the the home warranty company, and their unwillingness to communicate with me or AHS, they are putting the tenants at risk.
