In July of 2023 I entered a contract for 21 ****** Elevate replacement windows with a company called A Taylor Made Window (ATMW). This is a company that has been in business since 1972 and I would expect professional service I got anything but.I had detailed discussions with the salesman about the installation process and how any dry rot was going to be addressed. I emphasized that exterior trim needed to be exterior quality, pre-primed wood. This subject was broached by me numerous times because my last windows had failed due to inferior materials. Each time I brought this up with **** *********** ATMWs salesman he assured me that I did not need to worry they would use appropriate materials. He over and over stressed how long they had been in the business and that they knew the business. ie.. I should not ask any questions. The install was in March 2024 and every attempt I made to get ATMW to correct errors was evaded by stalling and blaming the manufacturer.I paid for a premium window product and professional installation by ****. I received premium ****** Elevate windows but the installation and finish work are terrible. Each contractor I have spoken with about remediation says it is going to be more difficult and expensive than the initial install because of the care needed to protect the ****** product and maintain the factory warranty as well as protecting my home. Rather than addressing problems I noted ATMW were dishonest and used delay tactics at every turn. They did much damage to my existing trim because they failed to use common sense protection for my home. If more information is required please contact me.

    Business Response

A-Taylor Made Window made several attempts to rectify installation mishaps with ***** ******* with timely responses each time a new issue was brought to our attention. She wasn't the easiest to communicate with. She first expressed her disliking of interaction with the lead installer, which she didn't want in her home again. We respected her decision and scheduled other installers in his place for services. She then refused to speak or work with the salesmen, ****. The salesmen are usually to be involved in installation issues to rectify accordingly. Then she refused to speak or work with our project manager, and finally refused to speak to myself, *** (office manager.) The final step was to escalate to the company owner, ******, who reached out to ******* directly to discuss the issues at hand. ****** instructed to contact ******* for scheduling of remaining installation/repair work and offer compensation. ******* refused to provide any details of repair work needed or scheduling of such repairs. The final course of action has been unjust in the lack of proper opportunity given to correct the issues.

Please reference attached notes of the dates of service, communication, and action made in respect to to the installation.

    Business Response

We exhausted our attempts to communicate with ***** *******. She simply refused to talk to anyone from our staff. By refusing to communicate with us, she refused our service to correct the issues she has claimed. She has already received a lump some of her money back from her credit card company of $13.8k. Invoice is attached. Unless she decides to communicate with us and allow us to correct the issues, going back and forth seems otiose.
