Didn't do what they said, harassment once I received back pay, barely heard from them besides them wanting their money. Spent thousands of my own money, just for them to say they couldn't use my evidence because of their mess up. There are a lot of other companies that could do what they did for free and not charge close to ****** dollarsBusiness Response

************************************************ signed his original contract with Veterans Disability Help, LLC on November 26th, 2022. Per the terms of the contract that ****************** signed, Veterans Disability Help, LLC does all the work during the claim in good faith with no money down, under the condition that Veterans Disability Help would be paid 50% of any backpay received. The process after the contract is signed is a four month buildup of information regarding the Veterans claim, prepping everything for the Veterans claim submission and making sure that everything is in order. His initial claim was submitted on March 14th, 2023, and after 11 months of work (prepping and filing his paperwork, collecting and uploading ************************************************ continually monitoring his claim, updating any requests by the VA, helping ****************** prepare for his Compensation & Pension exams, etc.), his rating was increased to 60% on February 6th, 2024 and then again increased to 80% on February 27th, 2024. It wasnt until it came time for ****************** to fulfill his end of the contract that he suddenly had an issue with how his claim was being ran.
In February of 2024, ****************** was told that all of the medical documentation that was being collected for his upcoming supplemental claim had been submitted, negating it as usable evidence. A supplemental claim is a tactic that is used to dispute a previous decision made by the VA (in this case, it was related to the VA denying benefits regarding Mr. ******** left and right knee conditions). ****************** was understandably upset and refused to pay his initial debt until this was rectified. Even though this went against the contract the Veteran signed, Veterans Disability Help, LLC chose to work within his request due to the nature of the incident. After further review, the call to the Veteran was a mistake as the evidence set aside for his supplemental claim, including a ***** letter supporting his claim had not been submitted. At that point our Director (*****), did reach out to ****************** (after several attempts) and let him know that everything was ok and that his medical evidence regarding the claim (including the ***** letter) was unused and good to be submitted. ****************** chose at that point not to pay his debt until the supplemental claim was submitted, again against contract. However, to keep the peace, we submitted the claim per Mr. ******** request on February 22nd, 2024. This was faxed to the VA, from which we received another fax back from the VA showing all items had been received. To put Mr. ******** mind at ease, we emailed the Veteran his proof of submission, including the verification sheet from the VA and we again began attempts to contact ******************.
Once again, ****************** had issues with how the supplemental claim was handled, claiming evidence was missing and that pages were not sent in, even though he had a copy of everything submitted and he had only sent the ********* letter to support his supplemental claim. ****************** did call this office on February 27th, 2024, thanking us for the work that had been done on his behalf and for the additional increase, stating that we could contact him the next morning to get his information to process his payment. He even stated during the recorded message that all the money was still available to process.
When our Director called him on February 28th, 2024, he again did not answer his phone. Our Director again attempted to call ****************** on February 29th, but again, he did not answer and had also removed our access to his CA.gov account (which was another breach of contract). ****************** finally responded via text message on March 1st, 2024, asking if there was any way he could pay his debt owed other than by giving his banking information. Our Lead Executive Assistant (******) sent him a response message with all the information he would need to mail a payment or wire a payment directly from his account, maintaining his accounts integrity. Again, now ****************** went off contract, claiming that he only owed money for the initial increase as everything else would not be covered by his contract.
***************** was last contacted today, March 4th, 2024, again trying to take care of his claim and even today, he is claiming that Veterans Disability Help did not fulfill its side of the contract, even when the VA is making mistakes regarding his supplemental claim. We have maintained a solid watch on Mr. ******** claim his entire time with Veterans Disability Help and have shown nothing but support through all of the curveballs the VA has thrown at him.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: They are the masters of half truths, yes they will submit a claim, whether or not they have all the info is another story. In October they submitted/added a claim for my knees that was rejected from the get go and this one was rejected as well because they did not do it as a supplemental, which as they said they had access to my CA account, so they should have known I needed a supplemental claim not a regular claim. I mean after all they are the experts that is why I asked for their help. Well after the 2nd submission was rejected 8 months after the first one was rejected, they told me that whoever submitted did it wrong and that their QA for their company needed work and that all my evidence for my knees would not be submissable and I could not use any of the stuff for the last 18 months that I had spent my own money collecting. I had ***** send me all the evidence that was not going to be used now, which was 9 documents, so yes I had only one nexus letter to submit because they tainted all the other evidence, even though ***** assured me that when the submitted the new supplemental after I with held their money that it would all be in their they would just rename it and still use it. Well I wondered why they could not have done that in November when asked them to and they had 3 people all tell me they couldn't do that because the VA would not accept it. Well now all of a sudden they can do that when I got back pay. As for the claim I removed them from my CA access, I literally changed a password because the website requested me to and they used my recovery questions to regain access and change my password, locking me out of the account. I had no intention of locking them out I just had not spoke to them that day, and before I could they changed it themselves. I know they did this because the website sent me a notice saying it was changed and then 15 minutes later they sent me a text telling me how much my new payment was that I received that day. They could not have done that otherwise. I really do not have an issue with this company but they do not do what they say they will, they submitted my supplemental and sent me proof, well in their own email they said they faxed the VA 9 pages and the VA sent a confirmation email saying 5 pages were received, well low and behold the VA rejected my claim saying pages were missing. Like now is all my new evidence tainted now? i just do not know what i'm suppose to do now, I have all their money and have not touched it, but I feel they are not living up to their end on some things, they like to say im in breach of my contract. Well in their contract it says "If the client goes default in the payments after the claim closes. The client will be referred to the company lawyer for immediate litigation". Well my claim has not closed and is still open but yet after 3 weeks turned me into a credit agency for lack of payment. I want them to do what they said they would do, I started all this because of my knees which are in pain all the time and I have proof and they keep s******* up and then blaming me for it. Also they represent me from Nov 26, 2022 and on, and the VA back paid me from Aug of 2022 that had nothing to do with them, but a new law that came into play, so I do not feel like they should be paid my back pay from when they were not representing me. Im willing to settle this and remove my complaint but they will have to get my knee supplemental taken care of and will have to renegotiate my back pay for when i was not represented by them. I do not know whether to trust everything they say, because talking about the back pay ***** had said that it was something they fixed that was why it went back to August of 2022, but that cannot be possible because in the contract it states "Under no circumstances is it to be assumed that Veterans Disability Help, LLC is officially representing the client to ************** of ******* Affairs" so how can they tell the VA anything....lol its just them telling you a load of BS and that they have your back, which still may be true but isnt 100% truthful. The stuff that happened in Nov of 2023, they are acting like it just came up in February of 2024, no I with held my back pay until they fixed it and even then they didnt do it right. So why did I have to do that if they were working on it the whole time, I mean its been over a year since my claim got filed. I just want them to work with me and stop making up lies, i know they locked me out of my account and that in itself is breach of my contract and illegal.Business Response

*******,
We are still willing to assist you. Your evidence is still good as it was not accepted by the VA. As far as the VA accepting 5 pages instead of the 9 pages that were submitted doesn't make any sense as the fax transmittal sheet to the VA shows that 9 pages were sent, not 5. We will reach out to you today and can have your documents refaxed before we call.
As far as payment due, we can also discuss that with you over the phone.Initial Complaint

I signed a contract to get help getting my VA disability with them,in April 15,2020 they got me 70% with the first contract and I paid them 50% which came out to over $10,000. The second contract was April 22,2022 that got me an increase to 80%. After that they told me they would be filing unemployability for me in January of 2023. Nothing came of it til April when I refilled on my VA portal. I got my decision letter on July 12,2023. My Retro pay came out to roughly 3500 and they want to take 50% of that as well. So much for being there for Veterans and to help them. $10,000 wasn’t enough for them. I’m disgusted with this.Business Response

Mr. ********* signed his original contract with Veterans Disability Help, LLC in April of 2020. At that point Mr. ********* was not rated by the VA. Per the terms of the contract that Mr. ********* signed Veterans Disability Help, LLC does all the work during the claim in good faith with no money down, under the condition that Veterans Disability Help would be paid 50% of any backpay received. The process after the contract is signed is a four month buildup of information regarding the Veteran’s claim, prepping everything for the Veteran’s claim submission and making sure that everything is in order. His initial claim was submitted in August of 2021, and after 16 months of work (prepping and filing his paperwork, supplying 49 separate medical files to the VA, continually monitoring his claim, updating any requests by the VA, helping Mr. ********* prepare for his Compensation & Pension exams, etc.), his rating was increased to 80% and not 70% as Mr. ********* referenced. Mr. ********* received a total of $21,650.56 in backpay and he did pay Veterans Disability Help, LLC $10,825.33 in July of 2021.
In April 2022, Mr. ********* signed his second contract with Veterans Disability Help, LLC, looking to get an increase on the previous work. He again signed another 50% Backpay contract as before and we began a new four-month buildup to submission, submitting another 300 pages in medical evidence to the VA, preparing the Veteran’s claim submission forms, etc. In December of 2022 we mailed out a form for Mr. ********* to sign. The now signed form was received back from Mr. ********* in January of 2023, and the form was faxed that same day to the VA (confirmation received by the VA is on file). It can take the VA up to 90 days to list a faxed claim in their system, but we kept on top of it, watching for it to go through.
On March of 2023, at Mr. *********’ request, Veterans Disability Help, LLC sent out another form to the Veteran for signature. The form was received back via fax with the Veterans signature on March of 2023, and was once again resubmitted to the VA the same day and confirmation was received by the VA and is on file. On April of 2023, the VA finally registered the form in their system and began reviewing all the documentation previously submitted by Veterans Disability Help, LLC, as well as another form which was directly listed in the evidence chain as to decision made by the VA in their Decision Letter to the Veteran. On July of 2023, the VA made its decision, granting Mr. ********* Unemployability and issuing an additional $3,559.94 in backpay that was deposited in the Veteran’s account in July of 2023. Per the terms of the contract, for the work that was done, again in good faith) Veterans Disability Help, LLC was entitled to 50% of the received backpay, totaling $1,779.97.
in July of 2023, when Mr. ********* spoke with one of our Executive Assistant (EA) team members, he was happy with the results of our work, and he did not argue about the total due. He claimed that he spoke with another one of our team members, (a name we have never had on board) in mid-July, and that they claimed he only owed 30%. He was advised by our EA that we do not have anyone by that name that works for Veterans Disability Help, LLC and that we do not work on Sundays. Our EA was able to confirm with the Veteran by going over the documentation that was submitted to the VA on the call. He then asked to speak with the Director as soon as possible so that he could ask a few questions. Our Director returned the Veteran’s call that evening, but there was no answer, so he left a voicemail and sent a text message to the Veteran.
The next day, The Veteran emailed our EA , stating “I have not heard back from you guys so I moved on to a different form of help, it’s impossible to get any type of help from you guys and all you do is file what I already filed. I’m not paying that, 50%, it’s outrageous! I have already given you guys 10k!”. The Director tried to contact the Veteran and again, received no answer, leaving another voicemail and sending a second text message requesting contact.
Veterans Disability Help, LLC has more than fulfilled our part of the contract, helping Mr. ********* go from a Not Rated (NR) status to 80% from Veterans Affairs (VA).Customer Answer

This company illegally charged me, a veteran, $1800 dollars to assist in filing a disability claim. When I was able to get to 100% on my own, they refused to refund money or to continue with filing stating it "wasn't their fault that I did their job for them".Business Response

On July 15th, 2021, Veterans Disability Help, LLC created an account on Pipedrive for Melissa ******* after she requested to gain further information from us along with a free consultation from one of our trained agents. We assisted ******* from July 26th, 2021, until the claim closed on December 3rd, 2021. At that time, we had helped raise her claim to 100% Permanent & Total which as high as the VA will allow for a disability rating.
On July 26th, 2021, Ms. ******* did willfully and voluntarily sign a contract with Veterans Disability Help, LLC, requesting our services. That contract does stipulate that for a fee of $1800 we will fully process one claim for the Veteran.
During her claims process we did schedule a full consultation for Ms. ******* with one of our trained Disability Agents as well as submit her My HealtheVet records as well as her MilConnect records to the VA (via eBenefits), both of which would have been used by the VA to verify her medical conditions and assist with their ruling. After both sets of records were submitted was when she received her increase to 100% Permanent & Total.
Over the last several months, Ms. ******* has reached out to this office looking for a refund of her $1,800.00, going so far as to contact the Better Business Bureau and filing a similar complaint with their organization. Even though we had supplied the records that we felt helped her claim, in order to avoid any more issues, our Director (Ms. ***** *******) offered to refund her all but $400.00 of her original $1800.00 (the $400.00 being the agreed upon cancellation fee in signed contract). Our only stipulation was that Ms. ******* drop her complaint with the Better Business Bureau, which she refused. Ms. ******* was called, texted and emailed by both the Director and Assistant Director, offering the same deal with no response. Examples of our work log are included as well as one of the emails sent. We are still willing to settle this with her, we only ask that she drop the BBB complaint (and now this one as well).

I am rejecting this response because:
My filing date from the company was set for 1 DEC. On 19 NOV I emailed informing the company letting them know that I had gotten 100% on my own. Attached is the email with my submission group date, and the email I sent informing the company that I had gotten 100% on my own, prior to any submission on their part.
The company filed no records, and their one attempt to contact me via email was responded to – however they never replied after that.

I hired Veteran Disability Help LLC in 2016 to help me get disability benefits from the military. They contacted me and after I gave them details of my issues they guaranteed they could get me a disability rating. However there fee was $1,200.00 broken up in monthly payments but that came with the guarantee and they said they would take care of everything. Soon after starting payment plan they started sending me crazy amount of paperwork to fill out. When I expressed that I hired them for that very reason they said if I didn't feel out the paper work they sent over they couldn't move forward. At the time I was dealing with a gentleman by the name of **** ***** who said he was the president of the company, he no longer works there. Filled everything out to the best of my ability and sent back but nothing ever got done on their end. When I've called for updates I get the run around. I started the process in 2016 we are now 2022 and nothing has been done on my behalf. There was a brief period that I stopped making monthly payments because I felt that they were not doing anything. In Jan. of 2017, I started getting harassing phone calls from a lady by the name of ******* ************************* who I don't believe works there anymore either. I decided to go ahead and finish paying the $1,200 because I didn't want my credit score ruined. After I did, I never heard from them again. At that time I was in a bad place mentally because of military experience and was looking for help from anyone. I feel like they took advantage of my mental state and I think they do that to other veterans as well. I tried filling a complaint with BBB in 2018 and 2019 but the company had not joined the BBB yet. I waited this long to do something about it because I finally feel like I’m in a better place mentally where I can take this on. I would like them to either do as they promised and guaranteed or give me a full refund.Business Response
