The Drain Dude (****** **** ******) is affiliated with my home warranty company (Choice Home Warranty) and was assigned on November 1, 2024 to access and repair my broken pool pump. I paid him $80 for the service call. He stated he was in contact with a representative from Choice and was working with them so they would authorize an upgraded pool pump as the one they wanted to give me was not powerful enough for my pool system and the out of pocket cost for me would be $675. He claimed he would send me the tracking info when his supplier shipped it to him. I paid him the $675, and after two weeks he kept saying he was in negotiations with Choice. I contacted a representative from Choice. They said they have never received any diagnosis or spoken to him regarding this issue nor was he authorized to order any parts for this claim. I called ****** and advised him he was not authorized to do the work and he claims he was still working with Choice on the issue. After another couple weeks and several failed attempts to contact ****** I requested to have him refund my money. He finally answered on accident and stated he would refund my money. As I write this complaint the date is Feb 3, 2025, he is still not answering my calls or responding to my texts and no refund has been issued.

Drain Dude responded to our home for a leak in master bathroom near shower pan.Drain Dude plumber was sent by First American Warranty Drain Dude claimed the tub was cracked and needed replacement. Gave a $1000 credit card payment to DrainDude for tub that was in shop from job that didn't go through. Drain Dude scheduled the tub installation for 7/23/23 and called to say tub was on truck and accident that morning damaged it. No further response...We called numerous times after with excuse of funeral and health issues. We have had no further response after final rescheduled date of January 12, 2024. No show. No contact.First American Warranty sent another subcontractor to the home to inspect the original area. Plumber found NO leak, just caulking void. First American Warranty informed us that it was not warranted and we are not covered. We feel that FAW is responsible for the damages to our wall and floor created when Drain Dude inspected the home originally. They have recently (2/13/24) sent a drywall repair person to "rough" repair the drywall. They have continued to deny the floor. No response from Drain Dude after additional messages left asking for return call.

The owner of the **************** came to my house to talk to me about our kitchen sink, he had a female with him. He told me and my wife that our kitchen sink was ***** that he saw in photos taken by one of his people when they came to fix a leak that we had via our Home Warranty Service. He explained the he could get us a sink and replace the one we have but that it would cost $1500. When I asked about a Senior Citizen discount he said he would take some off and then a bit more when he asked if I was a Veteran, he decided he would only charge $1000 but that we had to pay in advance. This is where we had made the mistake of paying first. When he left he promised he would email me the photo's that he had been talking about and also that it would take 2 to 3 weeks for him to get a replacement. This happened on May 23, 2023.After this, about 3 weeks later I tried to repeatedly call him to find out what was going on. It took me 5 tries over a 2 day period before he finally answered and apologized because 1, the building were his company was that he was renting was being sold and they had to move, and then a month later when I finally talked to him again after a LOT!! of phone calls, he then said he had been in the hospital. He kept promising that he would bring the 2 samples to show us and never did. After 2 months or so, I came here and filed a complaint but never heard back. We finally contacted the Calaveras Sheriff on Sept 12, 2023, a Deputy came to the house and we explained the whole situation, I can't remember if we gave her a copy of the receipt or not. She also tried to call the individual and she said it took her 4 or 5 times before she finally got through. She told me that he said he told us that they require a letter saying we were ending our contract before he'd give us a refund and he had 90 days to do so., that I emailed the same day. The Deputy told us to contact the sheriff after 90 days - tomorrow I can not scan the receipt to send - not working.

On July 5th we made a claim with our home warranty company in regards to a plumbing problem. They sent out The drain dudes to diagnose the issue. Warranty denied the claim and the company insisted we replace our sump pump or we would have major plumbing issues. So as concerned and worried home owners, we went ahead with ******, the owners, recommendation. On Aug. 9th 2023, the drain dudes tech came out to replace the sump pump, $2000 later. We caught the tech on camera not completing the job they claimed he completed so we confronted the owner about it and his wife Nd asked them to make it right. By this time the money was already paid. Days went by and we then realized we got scammed. Not returning phone calls or messages. They are working with a suspended business license on tops of that along with a civil judgement against them and pending legal action! Why is this company still in business. They are scamming people and scamming warranty companies. Something needs to be done!

This is the letter I have already sent to The DrainDude Inc., requesting the return of monies owed to me.On January 13th, 2022 you were assigned a plumbing repair job through Old Title Republic Home Warranty for the property at ******************************************************* (work order #****-8762). You came to the house to assess the project for repair on February 16th, 2022 and estimated the repair would cost $3,600. You stated that the maximum amount the Old Title Republic Home Warranty will cover is only $2,500, so you required the difference of $1,100 to be paid upfront to cover the cost of materials. Check #**** was written to The DrainDude Inc. for $1,100, which was cashed on February 18th, 2022. A date was scheduled for to complete the job, the date was canceled and rescheduled for March 22nd, 2022 and canceled again. The Old Title Republic Home Warranty work order #****-8762 was canceled and a different company was assigned the job. Since June 29th, 2022 ************************* or The DrainDude Inc. has been contacted at cell phone ************ eight times, leaving voicemails, and several text messages. Additionally, I have contacted the office at ************ as well as an email was sent to ********************************* on August 9, 2022 all regarding and requesting the $1,100 owed to me for the plumbing job that you did not complete. I was able to speak with you once on the phone on July 18, **************************************************** and if we hadnt received it, that you would bring a check to my home yourself. I confirmed with you that we had not received any check in the mail, and you have not replied back with a date nor time when you will personally deliver a check.
