I bought a pre-certified car about a month ago. They told me it had go through a full inspection and verification. After a month it breaks down and they tell me I have about $2000 in repairs. They will not honor their dealership warranty that I am under and refuse to honor it and cover these costs. They have scammed me into buying a bad car and refuse to honor the warranty that covers repairs.Business response

We had paid for a vehicle and decided to trade in our previous vehicle. However, the vehicle that was sold to us had issues and rather then them putting a hold on us we decided to return the vehicle all together. I called them asking what the hold was on paying off my vehicle I had given them and they did not give a straight answer. They told me they resolved this on 03/16, however, I contacted the bank (associated with the loan) and was told by them they issued a stop on that check. Now Im left with a late payment that will affect my credit and nobody is replying to me at autonation.Business response

Left customer a message regarding status. We had originally initieated a payoff when the vehicle was a "Trade in".. Customer decided to reverse the transacation so we had stopped payment on check.. Customer choose to sell vehicle directly to our dealership. Waiting on Lender to finalize transaction.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: I followed up with the bank I had a loan with through my original vehicle and they are stating they still have not been contacted. We received a call from autonation, it has been 17 days now. We are mainly upset because of the lack of communication, our credit is now affected with a late payment.Business response

I am rejecting this response because: Duplicate answer given. Was already told this on 03/22, same answer given 03/28. Financial tuition claims no payoff check was given since automaton stopped the check. Was originally told by autonation that me returning the new vehicle, it would not affect the trade transaction as it was 2 separate transactions and still considered sold. If it was a different process do to me returning the vehicle, why was no new paperwork processed? Due to their error, this affected my credit score which they implied wouldnt happen.Initial Complaint

Hello my name is Dijah and the nature of my dispute is a form of false advertisement along with not honoring a warrantee that was provided amongst the purchase of a vehicle from AutoNation Roseville Honda .In the month of April 2021, I purchased/Financed a vehicle . the warrantee states that I had 5 days along with a certain type of mileage to return the vehicle and that was the part of the warrantees that was not honored . I worked with a sale person. named *** that I was later advised that is no longer working at this facility . the day I purchased this vehicle I was unhappy , why because after the documentation *** and I went out to take another look at the vehicle , that's when we noticed a huge crack in the windshield he told me not worry because they had a guy coming in to fix other wind shield and he'll do this one as well . after a few hours the wind shield was finished and that's when I noticed a large scratch on the roof that didn't appear to be there earlier . so as I was examining the roof of the 2015 dodge journey , that's when the manager ***** came outside to talk me . I told him that I wasn't interested in the vehicle any more and that the warranty states that I have up to 5 days to trade it in straight across. he told me to come back tomorrow and ill be able to trade it in , after leaving I notice the truck didn't lock . I got there looking to speak with ***** , he wasn't there , *** said that I couldn't trade the vehicle that I needed to wait , I advised them about the warrant states that I have 5 days to trade in if I didn't like the vehicle , . I was advise that I couldn't trade it in I told them I didn't want it and they said that there's was nothin they could do , I return everyday , missing work or even leaving early ,I spoke to Manager ***** a few times about coming down , the alternator went out I tired to switch it and that's when they said that do to the expiration of the warrantees , I would have to have it appraised . scamBusiness response

I am rejecting this response because:
my complaint was regarding honda Roseville not honoring a warrant working a 5 day period to return or switch . I showed up every day attempting to switch the car as the sales manager ***** suggested that I could do , I showed up with my daughter every day missing work sitting for hours pleading with them to honor the warranty for 6 days in a row . On the six day they stated that if I wanted to switch the car they would did have to a appraise it for a **** dollars lesser value . Then I went to get the battery change when Honda and I figured out the alternator was bad and they said that the battery was good while auto said the battery was beyond bad . I was just asking for fairness and for them to honor a warranty that the advertised .

On Sunday september 5th I went into your Roseville Honda location. My wife and I were looking at cars and we drove around for a while with a rep from the ****** lot, before we came back to the honda lot. Before we left, a sales rep named **** Larsoon came up and we spoke and he said he had a 2016 ***** cx-9 to show me. We went inside and he showed us a stock photo of a CX-9 (not the actual car) and shared the miles. We told him we were very interested and he specifically said "the front bumper and rear bumper are being painted by our reconditioning shop". That would lead any reasonable person to assume that Autonation would be doing an acceptable job painting the car, since you have an auto body shop. I was then forced to wait 8 days while the car was being painted. I was told multiple times at first what was being painted, then after a few days **** stopped saying the car was being painted and said "its being worked on". I finally got a call that the car was done, and I went in to purchase the car. When they pulled it up, it looked like it was painted OK, but not great. I ended up buying the car for the list price. Fast forward 3 weeks after I purchased the car, I drove into the mountains, in the rain and snow. After i got home and started washing the car, i noticed big flakes of paint were peeling off. The following day I had an appointment to get a clear bra installed on the front bumper. Well, the body shop doing the clear showed me that your paint shop didn't do any prep on the car before painting the bumper. They even refused to put the clear bra on since they said the paint would instantly peel off immediately. Its clear they didn't primer or even sand the existing paint job before spraying a new coat of paint and clear. Well, you can guess that poor quality work like that didnt last and is almost completely worn off. I took some pictures of the paint on the front bumper and attached them.Business response

In October 2020, I purchased a Honda Insight from the dealership. At the time of the sale, I was promised an AutoNation/Honda jacket by the sales associate, Ares Gisawi. After waiting for the package to arrive, I called him about the status and he stated that the jacket is no longer available and that he can have a shirt shipped to me instead. He took my mailing address again, and to this day, I have not received the jacket nor the shirt. On July 11, 2021, I wrote a letter to AutoNation/Honda Roseville regarding this poor customer service and follow through hoping to resolve this issue. I received a call and was again told that they would take care of it, but I still did not receive either the jacket or shirt as promised.In October 22, 2021, I received an email from Honda (Case #********) stating that they forwarded my correspondence to a District Case Manager. Again, to this day, I have not received the jacket nor the shirt.Business response

I cancelled an extended warranty and oil change contract on 13JUL2021 and have not received my refund. I was originally told it would be **** weeks. At week 11 I called and was told it could be ***** weeks. I have been calling and leaving messages regularly and cannot get anyone to call me back it has been well over 3 months and I would like to get this resolved.Business response
