    I purchased a vehicle that had passed smog before the sale. The battery was dead so what ever code from the on board computer was not saved, and I was not able to see that there was a code for the catalytic converter until the vehicle had been driven a certain number of miles. Once I had driven enough miles for the code reader the vehicles check engine light came on, the code showed a bad catalytic converter. The Vehicle auction was 9/14/2024. I picked it up on 9/17/2024. My complaint is that the vehicle supposedly pass smog prior to sale, but with the battery being dead there's no way for anyone to check for issues until the car had been driven long enough for the code to show. I purchased a vehicle that should not have been able to pass smog.

    The vehicle had passed a smog check within 60 days prior to the sale of the vehicle at auction.  Bar None has a copy of that smog certificate.  We have passed that certificate along to the buyer upon learning of his compliant. With regard to the battery being dead, cars and equipment are open for public inspection and it often occurs that lights are left on, etc and car batteries die.  Bar None allows customers to bring equipment in to jump and/or check for codes.  We also can jump start vehicles, if necessary, for interested buyers during preview days upon request.

    I had Never purchased online 1 st time and apparently at next day I find out at 7;30 Sunday I won a car?! Was just looking and I can not drive Kee surgery or needed a car!? The won't Cancel due to software error in company site and they will not respond on email or my calls!? I am very upset want out of to his mess asap please

    Customer is coming in to pay and pickup the car that he drove. Initial complaint stated that he was using a phone with a broken screen and that was what caused it to lag and submit a bid. Later stated he was using a new iPhone so it wasn't a problem with the phone and was instead with our software. Said he wasn't interested in a car and had never ***********, but he was logged into his account and registered for the auction and agreed to terms and conditions, and accidentally bid on that car instead of the one he really wanted. Then stated he was having knee surgery and lived in the Bay Area and couldn't drive so he didn't need a car, even though he said he bid on the wrong vehicle and was interested in a different one. We cancelled his purchase and issued a cancellation fee in accordance with terms and conditions, he later called saying that he would buy the car and would come in to pay and pickup on 5/17/2022.
