A rental for a truck was made on my behalf for 5/16/23 to 5/23/23. i never signed any contracts or authorization for the charges made to my credit card, and i did not sign the final statement of charges. i tried talking to the manager about the charges they added after the truck return, he was not amicable and did not help. i stated i would contest it with my credit card, ****************, who did a full investigation and determined the charges were not authorized. they are now sending the remaining balance to collections and have damaged my credit. upon explaining that although i was present at the rental pick up and drop off, and no one spoke to me, had me sign anything, or otherwise interacted with me, the manager ***** continues to demand the amount from me rather than making any compromise or simply realizing the loss is due to the improper handling of the contract by his employees as well as their handling when i was in store. I did not sign the rental and service agreement before or after the rental and paid the original listed amount. I thought it wrong to contest the full amount since i did want to rent this vehicle, however the extra charges were not discussed or authorized by myself and with the refusal of the manager to any arrangement, i had ********** investigate the claim. the manager continues to site the terms and conditions which i also did not sign and state that they are going to continue to pursue the charges and potentially file a police report against the person who did sign as someone who stole my identity which is just more wrongful action on their part. their employee mistakes and lack of diligence shouldn't be my problem and no further money should be taken from me. they also need to fix the damage they have done to my credit report.
