On 11/29/22 they sold me a car for ******. The service engine came on the next day. Catyletic converter light. They had me bring it back. Put additive in the gas tank and told me drive it a while. I kept receting the computer until the smog was due again. Took it to a smog shop and they told me the catyletic converter was illegal in ********** so I had to pay $1830 for a new on and I want to be re inburssed by the dealer

I purchased a used vehicle May 30th, 2022. I understand used vehicles are "as-is" but they led me to believe this vehicle had been inspected by their shop prior to putting on the lot. As it turns out, one month later I have to take the vehicle to the shop because the engine overheating light comes on and the a/c is not blowing cold air. The vehicle has now been at the shop over 5 weeks! This vehicle required a new radiator, ac compressor, ac condenser, and other valves within the ac unit. I paid an excess of **** in repairs ( even with an extended warranty). I contacted the dealership and told them what I was experiencing and they told me all sales are as is and it was my fault that I took it to a dealership for repairs rather than a small private owned business. I paid them a $2500 down payment and am continuing to make car payments on a vehicle I don't have. The dealership I am having it repaired at has listed multiple items that need attention that I simply can not afford, and have gone so far to ask me if this vehicle has been crashed! I have the carfax though and that appears clear. I have consulted an attorney about lemon law qualifications but this vehicle is a 2014 and does not qualify. I don't want anyone else to experience this kind of grief and frustration and am hoping to get some kind of reimbursement for these repairs that they led me to believe didn't exist.

Hi we understand that you had contacted the dealership and  they told you as to why you had gone to a dealership and not to a independent mechanic the reason is that dealership charges are much higher then independent mechanic shop for the same job and the warranty companies have a price bracket for every services they do and if you had gone to an independent mechanic maybe the warranty company would have covered most of the charges.

I am rejecting this response because: The problem is not the amount of money I spent in repairs, the issue is in the fact that this vehicle that was just purchased the month before and had such an extensive list of repairs needed! There is no way your dealership inspected this vehicle, and if they did then it was sold under false pretenses as if nothing was wrong with it. There are multiple issues with this vehicle that still require attention.
