In 2010 I signed up at carrington college for the surgical technologist program in ******** **. When it was time for me to practice in surgery at the hospital in ************, I was treated very poorly by the staff, I was bullied and made to feel as a fool instead of a college student, I made a complaint to my teachers and they said they would speak with the nurse in charge. I was almost done with my externship at the hospital when I made a mistake in the O.R, it was a sterility break, and the nurse told me to go back to class for more training. My instructor made my sign a form saying that if I made any mistakes that they would refuse to continue training me. She said that If I didn't sign it that I wouldn't be allowed to continue the program, so I signed it. When I told her that a mistake was made she told me that they were not going to train me any further, I was not allowed to continue. They escorted me out of the building. Now years later I have a federal student loan that is over $30,000 and I have nothing to show for it. I was not allowed to continue my education therefore I did not graduate or receive a certificate that I could use to start my new career. I have nothing to show for the 2 years of hard work time and money that I put into my future. I feel that I was used by the school, I did not receive what I signed up for and I'm left with a student loan that I can't pay back because I don't have the career to pay it back with. I want carrington college to return my student loan back to the federal government, the Entire amount of my loan. They did not allow me to finish my education so I don't see why they get to keep the money and stick me with the ****, that's not right. I want Justice. Please help me.

The College investigated the matter involving the complainant from over 10 years ago. Please see the attached response and appendices.

I am rejecting this response because: the actual amount of what has been returned to the lender has not been made clear to me. the documents they provided are very confusing. Also, I reject them saying that I was removed for not making enough progress, I was at my externship everyday ready to learn and most of the staff at the San **** hospital treated me very poorly, they made jokes about me instead of teaching me and I was also bullied while taking lunch. I reported this to my teacher at the time. Because of the treatment I received, the lack to teach me and help me succeed, I blame the hospital and the school for disrespecting me and for setting me up for failure. I demand that the entire amount of my federal student loan be given back to the lender since I was forced out of my chosen career. I will also add this, when I was in class taking a test, one of the female students was caught cheating on her test by using her phone to look up the answers, that student was Forgiven and allowed to continue her education. I know this because I saw her in class every day after the incident. I feel that because of this I have been discriminated against as I was forced to leave, not for cheating but for making a mistake.

I am rejecting this response because:
I am not satisfied with the amount returned or the way I was treated as a student.

I was enrolled at carrington college Las Vegas campus. It was online and in person classes. I took a leave of absence and upon returning was informed that if It would be best to drop my classes for the following term and start next term. *************************** informed me that would be my best option. The policy in the students handbook clearly states that as long as if Im back within 180 days I would be fine. I was dropped from the program causing me to lose my veteran benefits. The school submitted paperwork to veteran affairs stating I withdrew on 3/14/2022 but the withdrawal was 3/20/2022. I have documents showing I completed and assignments graded from 3/14/2022. *************************** informed me to post assignments for that week. After I was unable to attend classes on 3/21/2022 she withdrew me, I have reached out to the ************************** with no response. I need carrington college to correct this injustice and correct my education records so I can get my benefits reinstated. This has caused me a great financial loss.

I have also reached out to ****** *** and they show no refund on that end. I have since been getting interest fees every month since January. I got a "LEDGER CARD" that i requested 03/21/2022 because at this point Im not sure who can assist. In speaking with ******************, she stated that the interest charged with ****** *** would be removed from her account based on the return of the $206. As a courtesy, Carrington College removed the charge on her account and sent the $206 directly back to ****** *** on April 6, 2022. It is Carringtons understanding that this issue has been resolved.
