Full affidavit is attached as a PDF for your review.Basic complaint is due to Dummies TrafficSchool.com failure to provide the Basic traffic class completion to the *** I had to suffer emotional distress, legal issues and financial loss. Additionally, they put me in a position to unknowingly drive on a suspended license for almost three months. This is an injustice. I hope that this complaint can rectify this injustice and hopefully at the very least assist me in recouping my legal fees of $136.09.

    Business Response

I am writing in response to the complaint filed by ************************* regarding her experience with DummiesTrafficSchool.com. **************** has accused us of negligence, causing her emotional distress, legal issues, and financial loss. However, upon thorough investigation, we have found that none of the fees she incurred were due to any fault on our part.

It is important to note that in the ****************, when a student elects to attend driving school, they are required to sign an agreement acknowledging their understanding of ** Statute ****** (4) (B). This statute clearly states that it is the responsibility of the student/driver to present the completion certificate to the clerks office in the county where the citation was issued.

I have included the link for the ** statute and ******* *** site that also explains requirements to drivers.

    Chapter 318 Section 14 - 2021 Florida Statutes - The ******* Senate (flsenate.gov)

    -Driver Improvement Courses FAQ - ******* ********** of ******* Safety and ***** Vehicles (flhsmv.gov)

Upon speaking with the ********** of ***** Vehicles (***)today, it was confirmed that **************** failed to submit her certificate in person, resulting in the fees she mentioned. Our records indicate that we promptly submitted her completion certificate to the **** and any discrepancy in the system's recognition of her completion status was addressed by our follow-up actions.

In fact, attached to this response, you will find a screenshot displaying ******************** date of completion alongside the date we submitted her certificate. The *** recognizes a student's certificate as valid from the date of completion, which reinforces that our actions were in accordance with the law and industry standards.

We take great pride in providing quality services to our customers and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Despite our efforts, it appears that ******************** misunderstanding of the process has led to her grievances. Nevertheless, we remain committed to addressing her concerns and providing any necessary assistance to resolve this matter amicably.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. Should you require any further information or clarification, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Please see the attached correspondence between myself and the vendor. I requested a refund ($14.95) for a certificate that I never received. The vendor responded back stating that they mailed the certificate on May 25th. When I finally received the certificate, the post mark on the mail was June 6th, which is a week and a half after they said that they had mailed it. I would like a full refund as they didn’t adhere to their own stated policy of receiving the certificate in 3 days and I’d like the public to know that they may receive poor customer service from them. I have emailed them the picture of the envelope showing the post mark, but don’t expect them to actually issue me a refund. This place seems like a scam to me. The background is that it’s a traffic school that I needed to complete and have the certificate of completion to my clerk of court by May 31st. I finished the class on May 23rd. They emailed me on May 25th saying that they would mail the certificate. I emailed them on June 2nd asking for a refund since I hadn’t received the certificate. The vendor replied back on June 2nd stating that they had mailed it to me on May 25th. I didn’t receive the certificate until June 11th with a post mark showing that they didn’t mail it to me until June 6th. They straight up lied to me on their website and in their email.

Hello, the customer did not receive their certificate when they wanted it. The date at the top of their certificate indicates the day it was processed. They were mailed a second copy from California to Florida, after they complained about not receiving the first and wanting a refund. This customer was not going to get a certificate as fast as they wanted either way, even indicated by when they received the second mailed copy of their certificate. We are not giving a refund because we cannot control the mail. We do not send mail with tracking, unless noted and paid extra. The customer also had a chance to receive the certificate via email, had they asked originally and not demanded a refund when the certificate was a week late from being received and it took a week and a half to get them their second copy. The service of taking the course, inputting into the DMV, and then sending a certificate to the customer was done. Therefore, we fulfilled our duties as a company.

Hello, this is a screenshot of another customer that wished to have their certificate sent via email. They asked, and received. Customer waited 5 days after she initially needed the certificate to send a message that her copy was not received when needed. This is a daily occurrence for Florida Customers to want their certificates expedited, and we do send them promptly when asked. Had the customer contacted us before her due date, all options would have been discussed. We have been doing business in Florida for about 2 years now. We do have issued mailing out from California and making sure customers get their certificates before their due date, so we do encourage them to send us emails if they have any questions. Nowhere on our website does it say we will not send them an email copy of their certificates if needed. This is the very first customer that we've had, that wanted a refund first, before making sure there were any other methods to make sure they had what they needed. As shown in the second screenshot, there was no attempt at a resolution, only a full refund saying we did not do what we said we did. There is no point in us individually inputting the data into the DMV system, only to not make sure the customer receives their certificate.

I am rejecting this response because:  Excuses are continuous with this vendor.  They failed in their customer service with my order and are doing everything to blame me instead of taking responsibility. Please do not use this vendor for any services.
