    TDLR: Fine start, horrible after initial failed repair. DO NOT RECOMMEND.I called and made an appointment to get my dryer repaired - the person who answered was pleasant and scheduled and appt for the next day. This was perfect as I had the day off and was hoping for that timing to work out - the repair tech even was available a little early, great! He was pleasant and diagnosed a thermostat needing replaced, he swapped the part after going to get one - I paid $290 - which was more than I was hoping, but hooray my dryer is fixed! Until...10 minutes into the cycle the dryer had the same issue (shutting down and not responding to any input) that I had called to get fixed! I called immediately and asked if he could come back in the next day or so- they woman I was speaking to said she would call him and schedule it and call me back to confirm. I did not receive a call - I allowed 4 hours to pass then called back and got a new person, she said she would contact the repair tech and call me back with when he could come back. I still did not receive a call back.I called the next day at noon, got the exact same message, that they would call the tech to confirm when he could come back. Finally I get a callback - however I am told that he has an issue at his house and cannot come back until May 12th, 10 days away. We ended up calling back multiple times, got told 3 different stories (Tech had a house issue, health issue, and on vacation) and told we would be charged again despite the issue being unresolved. At this point we just ask to be refunded so we can call someone else, I am absolutely done with this. We asked for this refund and we were told only the office manager named ***** can refund this, and she is not in today but will be in tomorrow (5/3).

    Had a service call for ice maker freezing up on a ******* refrigerator and having to empty and clean out every couple of days. The Tech did not know what he was doing was on the phone in some other language constantly and whoever he was talking to was no help either. I ended up showing him how to remove the ice bin and empty it along with using a knife to clean out the ice shoot to the dispenser. He didn't understand that it freezes up and needs to have the temperature adjusted as to not freeze the ice bin and shoot solid.He actually took some of the ice I emptied in the sink out and pit it back in and said "see it is working, right". I told him it freezes up every other day and this process has to be repeated often and should not be happening.I do not recommend this company.I asked him to leave and will deal directly with *******.

However, after further investigation, we determined that the service call was associated with a property management situation where the tenants and landlords names were different. This caused a delay in matching the record to the complaint.Upon thorough review, here is what we found:Our technician visited the property and properly diagnosed the issue with the ******* refrigerator's ice maker.An estimate for replacing the ice maker was provided and sent to the customer.The customer declined the recommended ********************** and also refused to pay the diagnostic fee at the time of service, stating he would pay on the following ********* of today, despite multiple follow-up attempts, the customer has not completed payment.The customers review appears to have been submitted in an attempt to avoid payment for services rendered.We would like to respectfully request that BBB take into consideration that this complaint does not accurately represent the situation. The customer received professional diagnostic service but chose not to proceed with the repair or honor the agreed payment.Thank you for your time and understanding. Please let us know if additional documentation (such as work order, diagnostic report, or invoice) is needed we will be happy to provide it.

    Terrible experience. I would not recommend them to anyone. Dishonest practice and driven by how much they can extract from you. I am thinking of taking to court but I have just discovered they have no physical address in the ********* area. Please run don't use them you will regret it. Be warned!!The Technician came to my house in his attempt to open the stove top he tore up a wire connecting two burners and claimed it wasn't his fault because he had to remove the stove top to be able to diagnose what was wrong. He would repair the stove if I paid $1425.00. I could for the life of me pay that amount of money I asked to speak with his company Manager he went outside and was on the phone with someone. While I was waiting for him to get his manager on the phone he drove off. When I called him to find out where he was he told me he left that his office would call me, Later I receive text from the office that I owed them $120 being travel fee since the work was not completed. I responded to the text telling them to send the Technician back to come back to fix what he broke which he also took the piece of wire he tore up with him. I have called their number they have not returned my call.

During the diagnostic process, our technician discovered a serious wiring issue with your cooktop one of the already damaged wires fell onto the metal surface while the top panel was being removed, causing a short circuit. We understand this was frustrating, but we want to emphasize that the wiring was already in faulty condition prior to the visit, and the damage occurred during a standard diagnostic procedure that was necessary to assess the full extent of the problem.The quoted repair cost was based on the scope of work needed, including replacement of damaged components and proper reinstallation to ensure safety. We understand the price may have seemed high, but it reflects the complexity of the issue and the cost of original ********* also like to note that the diagnostic fee was not collected. A standard notice was sent because the technician spent time and effort conducting a thorough diagnostic, even though further repair work was not approved.We regret that you chose to leave a negative review instead of discussing the situation directly with us.     When I called to see if Solo could repair my Dacor sealed cooktop, even giving them the model # and issue (front right burner ignitor not sparking) they sent a guy out a day early. Great! The young man came in with a brand new looking tool bag, put a flashlight on his head and took a metal brush to scrape the ignitor. We had already done this I explained. Then he spent the rest of the time here on ****** trying to find a way to repair. We had previously ******* this and knew that a tool is needed to remove the burner opening. Why would they send a "tech" to repair something he knew nothing about. We did not pay him that day. They are sending invoices for $120.00.

    We needed a heating coil replacement. They came out to diagnose, (via ******* videos for understanding) and everything was good but the heating coil. I was okay at this point because I already knew it was only the heating coil. They ordered, replaced it, and suddenly it didnt spin. So now I watched as he improperly out the belt on, told my wife she didnt understand it was the circuit board, I showed him the poor belt placement and told him that he broke the machine and needs to fix it. 2 hours later he has the circuit board completely out and messing with it saying thats the issue. I said no, and said to fix the belt. He took it apart to show how the belt was right, I googled for 15 seconds and showed him the correct belt configuration. He said oh, thank you *** and fixed the belt. Now the machine wont even turn on, likely because he broke the circuit board. I wanted a replacement of one part, and now Solo Appliance Repair not only broke my machine more, but wants to charge me in addition to the parts they just broke! If he had any training then maybe this wouldnt be an issue, but apparently I paid $300+ for someone to be on the phone or on *******, argue with my wife, not listen to explanations, and break a working machine. At this point I wish they were never here- at least then I could tumble dry my cloths without heat, now I have a box of useless steel thanks to Solo Appliance Repair. Useless is coming and being unable to fix. This is negligence and damaging. Things are worse now than before they ever came here.

    This company is NOT reliable. They came out to repair my washer - BIG MISTAKE. The repairman did not speak English. (Russian - used app to communicate). This repair process started the end of August, 2024. We had to pay half of the repair cost up front (my mistake-never again). 3 months later after several phone calls - a different repair man showed up to repair washer (also, Russian - used an app translator to communicate). He could not fix my washer. I called the company multiple times again to get refund. Received a $71 refund on February 13, 2025. They charged me $109 service fee and restock fee for the part the service man could not install. Also, this place is supposed to be local -- however, when I inquired about their location - I found out it is out of *****, *******. So much for being local. Using this company is a waste of time and your money!!!! Sure wish I would have read the reviews before I became one of their victims.

    BEWARE of this company, they are a bunch of crooks who don't stand by their work. They have a 10 day "warranty" and won't help you with anything after that and won't return your phone calls or requests for a refund even if the job wasn't done correctly. They'll try to charge you again to come back out. I'd leave a negative star review if it was possible.

Our specialists repaired your washing machine (replacing the water pressure sensor and performing other tasks) and provided recommendations regarding the dryer. According to our records, the errors (D80, D90) are caused by a clogged ventilation system, which we dont handle ourselves because it requires specialized vent cleaning services (often located on the roof or in a hard-to-reach place). We repeatedly explained that, without unclogging the vent, the dryer might not function *************** Calls and Communication. We regret if you felt we were not responsive to your calls or did not call back. Our dispatchers informed you that the warranty period had expired and offered either a new diagnosis for an additional fee or the option to contact professionals for vent cleaning, which you declined.Refund. We did not refuse to repair your appliance, but we cannot offer a full refund when the issue stems from external factors (a clogged vent), and the warranty period for our previous work has already passed.Were truly sorry if you perceived this situation as dishonest. We value our customers trust and do everything we can to help.     Solo appliance repair avoid at all cost . I wish I would have seen this review first my fault for not looking . I have a washer that is only two years old , the shock broke in it wouldnt spin fast but worked fine otherwise . He came with the part I wasnt home my son was at the time . When I arrived home expecting my machine to be repaired only to find it still has the same issue and many more . I paid upfront of ****** and now my machine computer board is whacked . It wont agitate , it keeps pumping water in and water was coming out the front of it machine is almost new and was a higher end machine . O contacted them oh coming back on Monday never showed or called o called them was told they would get back and did not . I had to call them back and said we can come back at 5 and I said ppl have work and they never even called me to say that they have an emergency . Company is very unaccredited and not approved by BBB .

    They deserve more than one star! 4 at least. Very efficient, competent. I would mention two flaws: the technician worked too fast and forgot to check the accumulation of ice between the freezer and the refrigerator, and the price was hefty and did not correspond at all to what they tell you when you make your first appointment over the phone. I paid 300 dollars for a fan for my freezer and the cleaning of the ice to insure the flow between freezer and refrigerator. I paid 210 dollars for a maintenance/cleaning of my dryer. It is still cheaper than buying a new refrigerator and dryer, but still too expensive. I think that 300 for the two repairs would have been decent.
