  If I could give zero stars I would. Showed up at the time of my reservation, reserved our car online weeks in advance. Was told that I needed a major credit card (which I dont own and they didnt tell us) but my fiance was with me and said he would use his. They told us it needed to match the name on the reservation. I tried a normal credit card and my debit card he declined both of them. We asked to add my fianc as the driver and he declined. We then asked if we could just switch the entire reservation to my finances name then since it was an issue and he said that we would have to make a whole new reservation and theyre not accepting anymore and he didnt have time for that since they closed at 8 (7:30 at this time). We figured theres no point in arguing and asked him if the driver can drive us back to the airport since we were stranded now and he said yes just wait outside and be driver will take you back Waited outside while the driver sat inside for 30 mins. At 8pm we went inside and said hey were still waiting on the driver to take us back The driver says yeah cant do that my last trip was at 7:30 after just waiting for him all this time and was advised we would get a ride back. So were stuck there with no car and as soon as we walked back out then shut the lights off and locked the door. Will never use this company again.

  *******************, they tell customers that credit card is being run for deposit only and upon return of the car, the deposit will be refunded in a matter of days which isn't the case at all. Over ****** and no refund and no one knows what happened nor who manager is. Do NOT rent from them they would NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY BACK no matter how many emails you send or how many call you made NO ONE knows anything about it.

  My experience with Mex Rent A Care was one of the worst car rental experience in life. Of course they were the cheapest, and that is why show at the **** of Search in Expedia but they were making up reasons to add charges. First, if you are planning to use rental care insurance offered by your Credit card, it is not accepted. You have to buy theirs on the spot. If you are planning to use your own auto insurance, be prepared to pull up your policy Declarations Page, and they will thoroughly examine to find an excuse not to accept it, and you have to buy theirs. While waiting for an hour in the line to get my car, I noticed one couple who came to return the car, who had bought the insurance from this car rental company, and had their parked car hit by someone else, who left a note and called the ********************** per instructions. They were advised to call police and get a report, which they did. The couple was told to get their own personal auto insurance company engaged for covering the damages. Then, if you are ********** resident, your deposit amount is $2000, and it is $1000 for customers from other US states, unless you buy their insurance, in which case it is $250. In a span of one hour while waiting to get my car rental processing, I personally noticed 3 customers who decided to leave for a better more reputed car rental company which probably would cost less than the total costs here at Mex Rent A Car, who also go by the name ***************************. If your are unlucky enough to be able to manage a rental from them, please make sure to get a Receipt upon return. They just take pictures for their own use, and do not provide customers with an assessment of the car condition. DO NOT TRUST THEIR WORD ON ACCEPTING THE RETURN WITHOUT PHYSICAL RECEIPT. I guess this company will have a plenty of first time customers, who will also be the last time customer. TERRIBLE !!

  Horrible horrible company, they tell customers that credit card is being run for deposit only and upon return of the car, the deposit will be refunded in a matter of days which isn't the case at all. This mex renta a car will run it as "extra insurance" for vehicle, which will cost more than renting car itself. Over ****** and no refund and no one knows what happened nor who manager is. Do NOT rent from them unless you have money to throw away.

  I rented a car through a carrentals.com and on their website it said unlimited miles but when I went to pick up my rental they said because my license was from ******* I could only drive 50 miles per day (150miles for the total for my 3day trip) otherwise I would have to pay extra. I could walk away and lose my deposit or pay the extra fee. No other option.

  Not even listing the correct address. I'm complaining about Mex car rental at *******************************************************. You really scam tourist . My husband in wheelchair , we have legit insurance better insurance that you forced yes forced ( I have a video tape ) to buy. You know we are tourist ******* and my husband in a wheelchair. We are in a city we don't know. Your advertisement with booking says airport pick up but no. With proper insurance you will not release car and thar hotel will not allow Uber or taxi yo get us yo another location. The shuttle will not take us back to airport. You had us in a bindbto force us Monday for your insurance. Shame on california state to have a place like this scam a disabled person !!!

  Awful. The pick up site not at the airport. Sketchy and slow shuttle service. Once there, they want insurance declaration, to 2 forms of id. Not able to check car back in at time needed to catch flight. So I had to turn in with additional fees ( but of course). This place is just a racket. Sham on Priceline for allowing them business.

  They offered a car they didn't have, asked for money in advance, and the next day they said they didn't have it, that they shouldn't have offered it to me, and then said that I should send an email for reimbursement. I contacted them via email as requested, they supposedly started the process, and so far 1 month and a half later I keep asking where's my money, and they come up with excuses all the time. SCAM COMPANY, STAY AWAY Me ofrecieron un auto que no tenian, me pidieron dinero por adelantado para agendarlo para el dia siguiente, y cuando fui a recogerlo me dijeron que no lo tenian, que no debieron ofrecerlo en primer lugar por que no tenian ningun auto disponible. Pedi reembolso y se negaron, me dijeron que aceptara una fecha futura o que pidiera reembolso por email. Mande el email, y me han estado dando largas desde entonces, ha pasado ya 1 mes y medio. Esta empresa es una estafa, cuiden su dinero, no pierdan su tiempo ni energias.

  This is a horrible company. Transportation to and from airport was unreliable and slow. They require you to take their insurance even though I had my own, but I didnt have the declaration page from my insurance bill. Then charged me over $500 to take theirs. This company should not be in business, it is a SCAM.

  Worst experience ever at ***. We had approved reservation at the desk it took one hour to work through process. We had proof of above minimal coverage through farmers auto insurance with proof of coverage. Regardless agent insisted on telephone contact with agency on a Sunday. Of course got recording only. We had to call our agent at his home to get approval. After all that silliness agent wanted 3000 usd deposit. We went to hertz and got a car in 10 minutes. Awful
