    good luck trying to get this off of your computer when you no longer want it. We canceled the subscription and uninstalled. Then every so often we would get a pop up asking ** to resub- scribe etc... Tried to remove it from start up, nope, tried to remove it the remaining program portions using windows uninstall, nope. Finally found an Eset uninstall program... can only be run while computer is in safe mode. Got it into safe mode, was it with the rest of the Eset program files and easy to find, nope. Had to run a non-indexed search. 10 minutes later while is safe mode I could finally get rid of it. If this was back in Windows ME or 98 days I could understand but this is just underhanded way to force you to keep the program. There is no reason for the uninstall of this program to be this difficult or for the "sign up again" to be so aggressive. I am actively discouraging any friends or family from getting this just because it's so hard to get rid of.

    Earlier this year I canceled the ESET security service for my personal computer and was informed that the service would continue until the service period expired. Recently, I received an email that my contract was being automatically renewed and being charged to my credit card. I called ESET customer service and waited over 14 minutes before a rep came on the line. I explained my situation to the rep and they immediately disconnected. I will now call my credit card company and request the not accept the billing from ESET. This company seems very dishonest and deserves a negative star rating.

The auto-renewal functionality has been disabled on your account, and your licensing does not expire until 7/14, so no charges should be placed on your card.     Four years ago I used them for computer security. After that I canceled them. A year later they took money from my account without my permission. I called them in ********* complaining about it, they refunded the money. Yesterday again the took money from my bank account that I did not authorized. An hour ago I called ********* who ever Asian answered the phone did not want to talk and hung up the phone, kept calling no answer. All other numbers dont work unless you want to sign up for service. This out fit must be shut down.
