I had booked an appointment online with a board of education help line, to see if I qualified for Student Loan Forgiveness. My 7- month old son recently passed away in our home, as you can imagine we are traumatized. The unimaginable, happened to my family and I. Allied Financial called me under the disguise of the ***** of ********** I assumed they were who I made the appointment with online, they were NOT. But they even confirmed when I asked is this my scheduled appointment. That was a LIE. I confided them (thinking they were the ***** telling them I just lost my son, I can barely get out of bed. We are trying to move because staying in the same place where he passed, was breaking our hearts daily. I said we were hoping to get a loan to buy a new house, but my student loans were holding me up. When they asked for my debit card number, to verify my identity, I gave it to them, because at this point they did not ask for money and seemed very legit. They stated they would wipe the loan completely, by taking it over under their name, then in **** years it would be gone. That was completely FALSE! They had mentioned all I had to pay was 600 and I told them I would see if I could come up with that, NOT authorizing any payment at that time. Once we hung up, I got a bad feeling and googled them, finding out they take payment from you and you never hear from them. I checked my account, sure enough, 600 was taken by them, I called my bank immediately, which was 20 minutes after hanging up to stop payment. My bank said they stopped payment, 600 was back in my account. Thought all was good. Few months later, my bank reaches out and said Allied Financial claims I did authorize a payment and they even had a contract stating it. The contract is completely false, everything down to my reference was made up. Home addresses, made up. Just something I would NEVER sign since it had ALL wrong information. I need this money, after our sons funeral, we had barely anything. Please help

The mentioned client was never told or provided with the information she is referring to, Allied never had the authority to take loans under their name nor have we ever claimed to be with the ************************ Normally clients are transferred to the validation department after they enroll to make sure the information that their information is correct, they know the program they're placed in and most importantly they confirm their payment plan, which is what happened with Ms. **** she signed her agreement and agreed to move forward with her process. However, all clients do have the right to stop the process and request a refund within their free-cancellation period, but that never happened with her, she called in with her relative next to her to ask a couple of questions and we tried to call her a couple of times after it but with no answer. Until we received a dispute from her Bank, which effected us negatively and we replied notifying them that this was an authorized payment and waited for them to settle the dispute. This case was created and closed way back in January, making it a surprise to hear about it now. A documented proof of all the mentioned information is available if needed.

They tried to take ****** out on March 18 but it didn't go through so on March 25 I sent a payment for ****** to be taken out but instead $****** was taken out of my account on March 25 when they said I owed ****** for March and April. They are now telling me that I still owe ****** instead of the difference between ****** minus ****** which would be ******. They told me to send in a bank statement which I have done, and I have talked to multiple representatives to no avail. They will not give me a valid reason to what is going on and keep asking for the bank statement that I already sent them. I don't know what to do or who to contact. Any help would be great.

I found a website online https://studentloansresolved.com/anthem-college-student-loan-forgiveness/ down at the bottom of this article it lists the number **************.When asked at the beginning of the phone conversation who the company was, the employee (***************************) stated that they were with the federal student loan program, or something similar to this, which implies they work for the federal government. So i re-affirmed my concerns and suspicions by asking if they did work for the fed. She did respond with a "yes" and an i.d. number of #*****. Again, implying that they work directly on behalf of the us department of education. I trusted her with that fact, not once did she say she was with a company called "Allied Financial Services." The only way I found out was when we got to the contract portion of this call and seen the header on each document. I ended up paying 250 and starting a contract plan for services to have them submit my borrower defense program application thinking they were part of the ***** federal student loan people. That us a federal felony. I called the *** soon after and confirmed that they are frauds. I immediately called the company back and asked for them to cancel the contract and give me a refund. In the contract it states that you have 3 days to revert your decision, so that is what I did within the hour of setting up services with them, unbeknownst to what was going on. Due to being lied to and misled. When I called ******* back, she was confronted with these facts and lied saying any of this, and knew that lying about these things is a federal crime. They claim to record all phone calls as well. So it should not be hard to subpoena the call if legal action would be required. Long story short. They lie, and mislead to make you believe they are part of the u.s. government or at least an implied third party contractor for the u.s. government. You do not have to pay to submit your application to ***.

Client was contacted multiple times by our agents and one of our supervisors to confirm with him that we don't have any intention to hold on to his file or service if he changed him mind and he was provided with a confirmation email about his CANCELLATION/REFUND. A lying/scaming company wouldn't show the intention or send a confirmation to give you your money back.

the attachment is the screenshot of the email of the confirmation of payment. Not the confirmation of cancelation. They have not responded to any of my emails since the last call they I gave them to cancel my policy. Please make sure this gets handled. I will provide the bank deposits once the money is refunded. But as of yet. They have not corresponded or called, or left any voice-mail at all. They are lying about emailing me. Tell them to provide confirmation of correspondence.

This company assured me they would reduce my loan payments as I qualified for the ************** Loan Forgiveness. Instead, they took $1099 and did nothing. They did not answer my phone calls from my primary number. The customer service phone number was a fax line and the website customer service page was defunct. The company is fraudulent. They should feel ashamed of capitalizing on people's financial stresses and desire to consolidate their loans. How morally corrupt do you have to be to hurt people during a pandemic.

The mentioned client was never informed the information she stated in her filed complaint, yet when we got her on the line she was assured by three different agents that there is no intention of keeping her money nor information if she doesn't feel like proceeding. The last call she had was with a supervisor who not only confirmed her Cancellation/Refund over the phone, she sent her a confirmation email as well and tried to confirm with her if there was any dispute filed with her Bank and instead of simply answering the question to be able to proceed, she kept yelling, calling names and said "I don't want to answer and of your questions" and hung up. From this point onward there is nothing that can be done from our end and she needs to check with her Bank.

AFS is surprised to hear from this particular client, as there was countless attempts to reach out, with no luck to get a hold of them, their payments were processed way back in ******************************************************************************************** order for us to submit the application successfully. To a limit where the file was marked as (Failure to Comply) until we hear from them. The mentioned client is no longer eligible for a refund as we fulfilled our part pf the deal when they failed to do so and decided to suddenly re-appear and simply file a complain.

Sent another email on 02/07/2022- I requested to have this canceled on 01/27/2022 and I received a phone call back on the 28th of January where a woman says she noticed a few missed calls from this number for Allied Financial Services and I again expressed that I need to cancel. She says she was going to submit the information to the proper department and a cancellation email is expected.Today is the 7th of February. The only email have received on 02/04/2022 is one requesting proof of income by saying:There is urgent information we must have in order to continue! This is an official notice from Allied Financial Services, to inform you that we must obtain your proof of income in order to proceed with your Federal Student Loan Repayment Program. If this account is not canceled by the end of today, Im filing a complaint. This is purely unscrupulous business practice. Please submit my request to the rightdepartment this time.Thank you!I receive an email from the department of education claiming they have noticed some unusual activities on my account. Something I dont quite understand. This is really shady and I would never refer ANYONE to this company. Im making it a mission to spread the news as far out as possible. I have now attempted to cancel 4-5 times via calls and e-mails to no avail. They tried keeping the timeframe to cancel account from me, I immediately felt uneasy. I called to cancel the next day and then have been trying since. This is not ok. I felt uneasy the very first day signing up when I had to ask for the cancellation timeframe several times and verifications team had to finally tell me 3 days. I requested a cancellation the very next day and then after that. It takes several phone calls to get to someone. I mean at 5 tries. ************ is a scam. I just called them again today twice to no avail. Never answers. If they think theyre going to smear my good character, I will make it part of my lifes mission to warn people away.

We are not sure on why this complaint was raised for a file that was canceled awhile back and we have a recorded line confirming with this client that her file was canceled. No payments were charged and no action was taken, she only received a POI request by mistake because she was once added to the list to receive an email and they forgot to to remove her name. We don't know anything about her "unusual action" and anything we work on shows as Allied Financials and non of that was provided by her. This is an invalid claim and yet we don't have a valid reason for the mentioned above.

Allied Financial is lying and I am not surprised at all. I would like for Allied to a submit proof of the cancellation email they sent to me and proof of the recording as I also have one. The individual claimed that I would receive a cancellation email and yet I revive a notice from the ********** of ********* and have attached a sceeenshot of the notice. I thought they would honor their word but that cancellation email yet again, still never came through. Why is it hard to just send me my cancellation confirmation email since I requested this done on 01/28/2022? Without any form of confirmation, nobody would know that their account is canceled as promised and what makes it worse, you cant get anyone on the phone. The emails even from processing made sure to not include a contact number on there. Just pure shady. Send me confirmation email so we can be done with you please.

We are not familiar with what is mentioned in client's message, as far as she being contacted by the ****************** then that's a direct contact to her which we have no clue about. She requested to cancel and it was confirmed on file and a confirmation email was sent out to her on 02/08/2022, if her email is not receiving emails or it went to her spam, or she deleted it, she can simply use the number provided to her or the number mentioned in our emails, specially her welcome email would contain her agent's name so she may reach out in case she had any concern or questions.

The mentioned client did not reach out to the office to confirm or notify us that the refund did not reflect in their account, they could've simply reached out to our supervisor's number or email to let them know of the issue so we would check where the delay is. Apparently, client is just going through the long route to escalate and claim that we are not cooperating which is not the case as we confirmed with him over the phone and via email and he was satisfied. On March 15, 2021 Allied Financial convinced me to avoid calling my current loan provider, Nelnet, and pay them $999 to collect information from me. Allied Financial stated that Nelnet is out to get all the money they can from me since they are my loan officer. Recently after reviewing things. I feel I have been scammed by Allied Financial Services. I contacted Nelnet who confirmed that all the information could be sent directly to them and my loans could be consolidated for FREE without a third party company. It was confirmed by Nelnet that they are paid by the government. Nelnet stated they haven't heard about Allied Financial and that more than likely have been scammed. I am fighting to get my money back, in full, from Allied Financial services. I didn't need their services and the $999 did not go towards my loans like they mentioned in the conversation. Today 1/21/22 I spoke with an Allied Financial employee who stated they are only able to refund me $299 of the $999 I was charged. This company takes a persons money and runs. They are a SCAM! I do not want anyone else to be caught in their scam! I am not satisfied with only a partial refund, I want a full refund!

The mentioned client enrolled in our program almost a year ago requesting the assistance with her Federal Student Loans, she was never advised the fees she is making to our company is going towards her loans as we help students enroll in a forgiveness/dismissal program not have them pay off their loan. Based on the signed agreement we have she was well aware of the process and agreed to proceed with making her payment and in exchange we submit the needed documents to help her obtain the approval for a forgiveness under an IBR program, which she received the approval for way back, marking her file as completed and she got what she paid for. Our company does not contact or interact with Loan Holders to avoid any conflicts in the process. She was never forced or misinformed about how our company works and receiving a complain after all this time is considered weird and of course won't be approved. She was advised by our supervisor that the company was ready to try to satisfy her by offering a partial refund and she agreed and yet she filed this complain. All documented proof of her process is available if needed.

Part of scamming is using persuasive language to get a person to pay for something even though the service is FREE elsewhere. Loan consolidation is well known especially with the covid relief. The reason I didnt contact my loan officer right away is because I was told by this company NOT to. The price for the service is outrageous and there isnt even a breakdown of why it costs the $999. $999 is a very odd number to charge. After searching more about the company online I found multiple other people making reviews about this company being Scammers! I will be satisfied with a $500 and leave the company be as long as I receive the $500 refund.
