Completed program over 2 months ago and was told graduation would take 14 days. We are now at 60 days post completion and Beyond continues to take funds out of my banking account (despite all debt being paid) and beyond has yet to refund me the over payment of $202.Business Response

What the salesperson sold me on the phone is not what I signed up for. The salesperson told me that all I had to do was worry about making my regular monthly payment and that beyond finance would take care of the rest. That is not the case. I am now being faced with the decision to increase my payments or be sued, according to your customer service rep. ** I didnt increase my payment several hundred a month then I was going to face legal action by my creditor. I wanted to see the agreement in writing but was told I wasnt allowed and I had to verbally agree without seeing it. I was also told I only had one business day to decide. To me, beyond finance does not seem to be taking care of things and are gatekeepers of information. Why wasnt I offered any additional options? I thought this company was supposed to help me but the reality is not the pretty picture that the salesperson painted. I want beyond finance to change the way they train their sales people. "Although, services provided by the Company aim to reduce the Clients outstanding debts with creditors, the Company cannot prevent a creditor from taking legal action against them, and the Company cannot offer any guarantee whatsoever that legal actions will not be commenced by the Clients creditors."

I began working with beyond finance in March of 2023 and they told me it would take 3 months to reach agreements and begin paying my debts off and that I should be through the program in less than a year. I agreed to these terms enrolled 3 debts and to date only one has been settled and the other creditors have not even been contacted. I have called several times and have gotten no resolution. I have asked to be contacted by someone who could help with and those requests have been ignored. so the outcome of this has destroyed my credit score which they promised would not happen and I am in limbo with these debts that I was trying to pay off.Business Response

Information about timing to reach arrangements can be located under the section titled "Debt Resolution Agreement" in paragraph 8. "Timing and Program Estimates". It reads, in part, as follows:
"While guidelines differ widely among Creditors, in our experience an accumulation of 25%-50% of the then-current balance of a Debt and approximately 4-6 months from the last payment will normally enable us to make a good-faith offer to resolve your first and subsequent Debts."
The estimated timeframe provided is indictive as to when you are expected to be offered your first arrangement. Your first offer was extended and approved by you within the established expectations.
Additionally, as covered in the sections titled "Schedule A List of Creditors and Debt & Program Details" you elected to enroll in a 55 month program. You have the option to expedite your program by adding additional funds, but are not required to do so.

I opened an account with ********************** on February 20, 2023 to help with debt consolidation. I cancelled my account on May 14, 2024, I was told that any remaining money would be sent to my checking account. After paying in $2288.36, I received a refund of $164.23 on May 16, 2024. I tried to check the balance that was in my account on their webpage but, I no longer has access and I never received any paperwork explaining where the remainder of my money is or if there were fees. I was told all fees were paid upfront and I feel like they just took my remaining money without any explanation or documents. The program didn't work for me so I eventually filed bankruptcy. I want to know what happened to my remaining money and why didn't I get any paperwork disclosing the distribution of my funds pertaining to paying my creditors.Business Response

"The Client agrees to pay the Company a fee in the amount of ***** % percent of the balance of each debt enrolled into the program and where Company resolves the debt, whether directly or indirectly through Companys agents, with the creditor."
At the time of your requested termination you were in two active offers. After the fees earned on your approved resolution offers were accounted for, you were refunded the remaining amount in your dedicated account. They are being manipulative without disclosing any pertinent information that I asked for. I still do not have the answers I requested so, NO, I am not satisfied. I paid Beyond Finance $500/mo for 7 months between 7/23 - 1/24 for debt settlement of 7 different credit cards that I owed. However, they only negotiated payoff agreements with 2 of the 7 credit card companies yet they continued to pocket the monies I was paying.I called them several times to ask why the payoff agreements were not forthcoming and they always told me the same story. "We are working on it and they should have agreements in place soon". But they never did.For 7 months they took my money and only negotiated 2 agreements out of the 7 I needed. I wish I had just kept my money and negotiated my own agreements with the credit card companies. I could have avoided subsequent law suits.2 of the 7 credit card companies are now suing me and I've got a real mess on my hands so I canceled my agreement with Beyond Finance after 7 months. At the time I canceled I had a balance of $500 on account with them and they told me that it would be refunded me within a week but I never received a dime back.All in all a very bad experience for me. I lost a lot of money that I couldn't afford to lose and I still have the debt along with 2 lawsuits to contend with.Business Response

Further, in our experience it typically takes approximately 4-6 months before reaching the stage at which Company can begin reaching out to creditors or collectors and achieve your first resolution. If the Client has multiple debts, Company typically will make an offer to the next creditor within approximately 3-6 months of when the prior debt was resolved and after the Client has saved 40%-50% of the debt due to the next creditor"
Beyond Finance exceeded these expectations by presenting you with two offers which you elected to accept within the first three months of your enrollment.
Additionally, the possibility of your enrolled accounts moving into a legal status is covered in the same section in paragraph 13. "Disclaimer". It reads, in part, as follows:
"Although, services provided by the Company aim to reduce the Clients outstanding debts with creditors, the Company cannot prevent a creditor from taking legal action against them, and the Company cannot offer any guarantee whatsoever that legal actions will not be commenced by the Clients creditors"
At the time of your requested termination, after the fees earned related to your approved resolutions were accounted for, there were no remaining funds to issue a refund.

I entered an agreement with Beyond Finance in October 2023. My first offer only saved me 1 cent. I called for an explanation and I was told that the company was difficult to settle with. They also advised me that there was no fee. I should have cancelled my agreement then but after talking to them I was assured that it would never happen again. Another account was settled. I looked at my credit report and there was amount still with this creditor. It was the % they was taken off the original amount. I asked the Beyond rep about this and he couldn't give me an answer. I called to cancel my agreement and to get a refund if the funds in my dedicated account only to be told I still owed fees on a couple of resolutions from months ago. I told the rep that I was told the fees were taken when I agreed to the resolution amount. He was like normally it is but you owe us. We will deduct and send you the remainder. I was then told that my creditors probably wouldn't take it accounts payments that already made since I'm leaving the program. I had to call constantly to update my accounts that were paid. 4 accounts were paid but my credit report was updated that the accounts went to collections after they were paid. We understand that the delay in updates to your credit report can be frustrating. However, Beyond Finance does not assume your debts and therefore does not furnish any of the credit reporting. This is a matter that needs to be addressed directly with your creditor.
Regarding the fees related to your active resolution offers, these fees are taken throughout the duration of your enrollment. This allows there to be more available funds in your dedicated account to assist in reaching resolution offers for you in a timely manner. At the time of your requested termination, there was an outstanding fee earned that was owed.
As it pertains to the potential loss of your active resolution offers, Beyond Finance is no longer assisting in established resolution therefore cannot guarantee the creditor will continue to honor the terms now that they are changing.

Beyond Finance charges you fees that are equal to the discount you get from the settlement. They get their money first and pay the creditors super low amounts per month. Even though there were arrangements that they made with the creditors the majority of my accounts were still or went to collections. Beyond Finance uses deceptive practices they prey on vulnerable consumers. They are crooks.Business Response

I used Beyond Finance's Debt Relief program and they did help me to significantly lower my debt. However, after paying off my final settlement on 5/3/24, their online portal still showed they would be taking $171.10 every 2 weeks from my checking account. I contacted them on 5/10/24 and asked to cancel or defer the payment since my settlements were completely paid off and I should be receiving my "graduation" letter from them shortly. I was informed by their customer service agent that there was no pending payments and even after sending a screenshot that showed a deposit scheduled for 5/14/24, I was assured that no payments would be coming out. I stopped on 5/14/24 to try and fill up my car at a gas station and my card was declined. I checked my account and ********************** had a pending payment of $171.10 and my bank had already hit me with a $25 overdraft fee. Upon contacting Beyond and asking for an explanation, they said it was up to me to figure out, even though I had proof that their customer service representative told me everything was taken care of. I have filed a stop payment with my bank but I am currently just under $150 over-drafted from my account until my next paycheck. If my bank does stop the payment, I would like the $20 fee refunded since I did try to take care of this ahead of time.Business Response

**Beyond Finance: A Nightmare Experience**Avoid Beyond Finance at all costs. Promising negotiation assistance with a 25% fee upon success, they drained my account after the first negotiation, leaving me facing legal action. Despite constant contact, they failed to provide crucial legal support before my court date, exacerbating my stress and health issues.Their exorbitant fees resulted in a meager $603 debt reduction but nearly $3475.76 in charges, which they conveniently failed to disclose that your final amount of debt would be astronomically higher than your original enrolled debt. Requests for phone conversation transcripts were denied, suggesting a deliberate attempt to evade accountability.Card 1 Original debt: $7778 Debt after bank fees: $9486.25 Resolution amount: $7400 Beyond finance fee: $1944.60 Actual debt reduction from enrolled amount: $378 Card 2 Original debt: $5725 Debt after bank fees: $6856.32 Resolution amount: $5500 Beyond finance fee: $1431.25 Actual debt reduction from enrolled amount: $225 The final debt is significantly higher than the enrolled debt, therefore they consider their resolution amount successful.Contrary to their claims, legal repercussions are not rareI encountered numerous individuals facing similar issues at the courthouse. Legal counsel advised filing complaints with the state attorney general, but the chances of resolution seem bleak.Their responses to complaints, citing a "No Worse Off" policy, are hypocritical considering they leave clients worse off financially while justifying their fees. Information about program fees can be located under the section titled "Debt Resolution Agreement" in paragraph 11. (a)"Program Fees". It reads, in part, as follows:
"Program fees are due and earned when: (i) the Company reaches a resolution on an enrolled debt with a creditor,(ii) the Client accepts and agrees to the new terms, and (iii) the first payment of the new agreed upon terms is made to the creditor."
All fees earned were done so within the established expectations as set forth during your enrollment interactions.
Additionally, information about the accrual of interest and fees can be located in the same section under paragraph 13. "Disclaimer". It reads, in part, as follows:
"The use of Companys debt resolution services will likely adversely affect Clients creditworthiness and may increase the outstanding balances of Clients enrolled accounts due to the accrual of fees and interest."
Beyond Finance is also very clear upon enrollment that we do not provide legal or tax advice, as covered under Section 10 No Legal or Tax Advice.
Throughout your enrollment interaction you were provided with estimates as it related to your resolution expectations,however these are not guaranteed. Beyond Finance has no control over a creditors decision to move forward with legal actions.
Beyond Finance has been able to provide you with resolution offers on all three of your enrolled accounts which you elected to accept. Our fees were disclosed clearly and transparently and the time you elected to enroll into the program. An account manager has made several attempts to reach you to further discuss this matter, but has been unsuccessful in doing so.

That is correct, I am not willing to speak to your team on the phone because you will not release any of the transcripts to me, including the ones where I'm told that in the state of ******** there is a specific legal assistance that is a MANDATORY part of my program in the event of legal actions taken against me. Which I was told by one single person a few days before my court date.
Additionally I was told several times that because the charge-offs happened it "is a great moment for our team to work with your creditors to reach a more favorable deal."
I think it is important for potential clients to understand that your definition of "favorable" is anything you chose it to be. For me that was the same amount I already owed, plus the 25% fee. I would like to request a lower fee since I'm paying exactly what I owed, plus an additional fee on top of the and your team failed to send the correct support at the correct time.

Dec. 2023 I contracted Beyond Finance 6 months ago to negotiate/ settle outstanding debts. They take @1600$ from me each month. I gave 13 accounts to be negotiated. They have negotiated 1. Want to quit the program and I keep being told by one person it is cancelled but then another cs rep will say its not and I have to call back in .
