I have been working with beyond finance for a couple years. In the time working with them they do not disclose the amount of money they are taking fourth right and their employees avoid informing people of the amount the process costs. They claim to be saving you half of what you owe but in reality after all is paid they will take out 25% so you may have saved 25% of your debt in the process they ruin your credit and put you in a terrible financial place. I accepted a loan from their partner because I was randomly charged 965 dollars when our agreed twice a month payment was in the 240s. They use tricky manipulative tactics on people in bad situations with giving very little information to their clients.Business Response

Thank you for the opportunity to address your concerns.
We confirmed your enrollment into the program on August 29, 2021. At the time of enrollment, the Account Specialist reviewed your Debt Resolution Agreement with you prior to your signing. Information about fees can be located under the section titled "Debt Resolution Agreement" in paragraph 11. (a) "Program Fees". It reads, in part, as follows:
"The Client agrees to pay the Company a fee in the amount of ***** % percent of the balance of each debt enrolled into the program and where Company resolves the debt, whether directly or indirectly through Companys agents, with the creditor."
Additionally, an estimated breakdown is provided under the section titled "Schedule A List of Creditors and Debt & Program Details". This section provides an estimate of the fees as well as the estimated program savings. Our agents are unable to provide specific amounts prior to securing an offer with your creditor.
This program is designed to reduce the balance owed on enrolled accounts by an estimated 50%. On average, you have realized a 46% offer rate.
We are hopeful we have been able to provide clarity to your concerns. We regret if there has been any miscommunication but disagree that we have failed to be transparent. Should you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

3/20/24, enrolled in debt consolidation with above company. 4/15/24, sent Priority Mail letter to ******, ** office and it was received at PO Box address. 4/16/24, called ******, ** office and told a representative that I no longer wish to be in their program. She said, okay, no problem. I received an email confirming that. In the meantime, my credit cards with **** of ******* ****** were closed due to "working with a third party" notice. When I told them I no longer wanted to be enrolled, THEY NEVER LET THE **** KNOW, so my cards were closed/revoked. I always pay my bills, never late, and I DO NOT DESERVE THIS. I am a senior, living on social security, and this is a crime against me! I called Beyond Finance and made it known that I am not happy with their company at all. The representative who took my call to unenroll did not follow through with letting the creditors know on 4/16/24, so they continued with closing the cards in error! The representative today is sending a revoke power of attorney form to the bank to see if my cards can be reinstated in 48 hours. Not much help!Business Response

The agent that signed us up for Beyond Finance sold us on an entirely different story than the truth. We were told that the company would contact all the creditors at once and setup a payment schedule. At this time, we have credit scores close to 700 and was not late with ANY creditor. This is why this question we continuously asked. 1 year and 1 month later, Beyond has taken $4857 of our money and has paid 4 accounts off totaling $1347. They are currently in process of resolving 5 accounts and have paid out $710. So out of $4857, that have paid out $2057 and pocketed $2794!!!!!!!! Our credit scores are at high 400s. And 9 accounts have no contact at all! The loan that was offered was for $17k which is way more than whats needed but pay back would be 30k plus more fees! Not to mention the agent added very old accounts that were about to charge off into our enrolled debt as a hypothetical but never removed them. The Ctual accounts we needed paid on hasnt even been touched. We want to ****Business Response

We confirmed your enrollment into the program on March 8, 2023. At the time of enrollment, the Account Specialist reviewed your Debt Resolution Agreement with you prior to your signing. Information about the estimated timeframe of contact with your creditors can be located under the section titled "Debt Resolution Agreement" in paragraph 8. "Timing and Program Estimates". It reads, in part, as follows:
"We begin contacting your Creditors as soon as we determine that a good faith effort to resolve a given debt, whether on a lump-sum or installment basis, may be made, with such determinations dependent upon such factors as the Creditors settlement policies, the rate of account accretion, the size of each Debt and how close a Debt may be to charge-off. Some Creditors prefer that they not be contacted until you have accumulated sufficient funds in your Dedicated Account to allow a resolution within their historic norms. While guidelines differ widely among Creditors, in our experience an accumulation of 25%-50% of the then-current balance of a Debt and approximately 4-6 months from the last payment will normally enable us to make a good-faith offer to resolve your first and subsequent Debts"
Beyond Finance exceeded established expectations in this area, presenting your first offer to you less than a month after enrollment. The program is designed to care for your enrolled accounts throughout the lifetime of your enrollment period.
Information about impact to your credit can be located under the same section in paragraph 13. "Disclaimer". It reads, in part, as follows:
"The use of Companys debt resolution services will likely adversely affect Clients creditworthiness..."
Regarding the loan amount offered, Beyond Finance is a separate entity from Above Lending and does not control any aspect of the loan details.
We are hopeful we have been able to provide clarity to your concerns.
Sincerely,

I was looking for debt consolidation and Beyond advise me verbally that they would settle with my credit companies. They even told me that they would be able to settle with Mariner Financing which is a complete lie. They told me that my credit would drop and come back within months. My credit score tanked to 394! I've been sent to collections and threatened to be sued. They deducted $2811.11 from my account. I cancelled and was expecting a refund. They claim its for "settlement fees". These fees were never disclosed to me during the initial sign up process. The representative omitted any mention of a 25% fee that would be charged. This deliberate act of deception is unacceptable and unethical. It is evident that Beyond intentionally leaves out crucial information about fees in order to entice consumers to join their program. This deceptive practice violates consumer rights. I am deeply disappointed and feel betrayed. I demand immediate reimbursement of $2378 of the settlement fees they deducted from the $2811.11 that was withdrawn from my account.Business Response

****************,
Thank you for the opportunity to address your concerns.
We confirmed your enrollment into the program on January 8, 2024. At the time of enrollment, the Account Specialist reviewed your Debt Resolution Agreement with you prior to your signing. Information about fees and when they are earned can be located under the section titled "Debt Resolution Agreement" in paragraph 11. (a) "Program Fees". It reads, in part, as follows:
"The Client agrees to pay the Company a fee in the amount of *****% percent of the balance of each debt enrolled into the program..."
"Program fees are due and earned when: (i) the Company reaches a resolution on an enrolled debt with a creditor, (ii) the Client accepts and agrees to the new terms, and (iii) the first payment of the new agreed upon terms is made to the creditor."
This information was clearly disclosed at the time the agent reviewed your enrollment agreement with you. Beyond Finance met all established criteria prior to earning any installment of the fee. At the time of your requested termination you were in two active settlements. After the earned fees there were no remaining funds in your dedicated account for a refund.
Information about the impact to your credit and the possibility of collections or litigation are covered in the same section in paragraph 13. "Disclaimer". It reads, in part, as follows:
"The use of Companys debt resolution services will likely adversely affect Clients creditworthiness..."
"Clients enrolling in the Program may be subject to collections or sued by their creditors or debt collectors for nonpayment..."
It was confirmed that during your enrollment interaction the agent advised of the credit impact and that it could start to show signs of improvement around six months, but did not guarantee this result.
We are hopeful we have been able to provide clarity to your concerns.

I am not accepting their response. Beyond stole my money! Their business ethics are dishonest and despicable. All of their BBB complaints are exactly the same.
The company takes advantage of the people who are at their lowest point in life. Again, kick them when theyre already down and steal their money.
I am still demanding a refund and will continue to do so until I see it in my account.

July 2023 to April 2024 Beyond Finance deducted payments of $685 per month from my account that was supposed to be used for debt payments. I worked very hard to make these payments and was excited to have a way out of debt. In phone conversations, I was told my debt would be settled in six months or less. I was told that they would not take fees until all of my debt was settled. Months passed and then just one of my debt accounts was "settled". Beyond Finance then transferred all of my money, not to my creditors, but to themselves. So my dedicated account has no way of ever having enough money in it to settle with the remaining creditors. So, this is no way out of debt at all. Instead I have just paid a third party over 5000 to rob me. ??Business Response

We confirmed your enrollment into the program on June 19, 2023. At the time of enrollment, the Account Specialist reviewed your Debt Resolution Agreement with you prior to your signing. Information about when fees and when they are earned can be located under the section titled "Debt Resolution Agreement" in paragraph 11. (a) "Program Fees". It reads, in part, as follows:
"Program fees are due and earned when: (i) the Company reaches a resolution on an enrolled debt with a creditor, (ii) the Client accepts and agrees to the new terms, and (iii) the first payment of the new agreed upon terms is made to the creditor."
Review confirmed that this offer was approved by you on October 14, 2023. The first payment was made on October 26, 2023 and the first installment of the fee was earned on October 28, 2023. Beyond Finance met all established expectations as it pertains to earning the fee related to this arrangement.
Information about the timing of offers can be located in the same section under paragraph 8. "Timing and Program Estimates". It reads, in part, as follows:

My issue is that the company did not inform me that late fees and interest would continue to add up while my bills were not getting paid, and my debtors were not made aware I was with Beyond Finance to try to se4ttle my debit with them. My debit increased more during the time I was with Beyond Finance than when I started. Now I am in even more debit than what I started with and my credit score has dropped over 100 points because of this situation.I am the sole financial supporter in my family and now I am in a worse situation than I began. On October 13 2023 I was looking for debt consolidation due to my financial hardship. Beyond finance representative was very pleasant on the phone and convinced me to sign up with them assuring me that the will reduce my debt at least 50% . My payments will be $320 monthly for ***** month and I will be debt free. With this settlement their fee was included. Well that was not true. They lied !! After 6 months they send only one settlement from my discover from $5345 to $3741 !!! With hesitation Ive accepted offer since it was a long time but I called customer service on March 11 , 2024 and asked what is going on with settling accounts. I was told that they dont have any accounts in motion to settle ??? After 6 months. I asked to cancell my account. To my surprise on April 3 rd I discovered that company took $ 1336 from my account as their FEE for settling Discover!!! They charged 25 %of the original debt !! That means that they settled my account for $400 less. Their fee was supposed to be included in settlement amount . It was clear con and mispresentation. I am senior citizen on disability and they took advantage of me . They guaranteed money **** if I decide to cancell but now they refusing to do that. I insist on full refund. They ruined my life !!! I am devistated and so disappointed in system that allows corporation to take advantage of people when they need help the most. What kind of society we have become???Business Response

I was contacted last May by a "debt consolidation company" who claimed I would be debt free in ***** months. I was interested in learning more so I agreed to a phone call. The agent was *****************. After the phone call I did enroll however the agent did not provide me with all the information. He was a "great sales person " and told me to just sign the papers which I did. I have paid them over $3000 and have little to show for it. I want my $900+back in 'Settlement fees' since the debt has not been settled. They did contact two accounts and get numbers of dollars they would accept but only made one payment less than 30 days ago. I was totally misled and the company is targeting people desperate to get out of debt. I did cancel my account and told them i did not authorize them to take any more money from my bank account. I spoke to a supervisor but was angry i didn't get her name. She also told me my representative from the beginning was Azdul which i don't recognize at all. Probably a foreign country person using an American name but i did notice an accent in all the times i talked to him. Please help me out by getting my "Settlement fees" returned since they did not settle my agreement. They also answered the phone as ************** which is not the name used when I signed my agreement on line. I asked for a company but never received it. When I asked again ***** told me he was very honest and told everything I needed to know, saying it was too many pages to print.Business Response

I contacted Beyond Finance to help me resolve my bad debts, which they did. I accelerated my program with additional deposits into my dedicated account to pay off debt faster. I overpaid my dedicated account to be sure all debts were paid in full and Beyond Finance had all their fees paid. I have now called them 3 times in the last 60 days asking for refund which they have told 3 times I would receive in 10 days. I still do not have my refund, and they are continuing to charge my account for "missed payments" even though there is nothing more to pay and they owe me! I want my account with them closed, I want my refund and I want all missed payment fees returned to me since I don't owe anything more.Business Response

We regret any delay in processing your program for graduation. In order to ensure we have set you up for success post graduation, we have a thorough process in place to review your program. In instances where our customers are able to add lump sums to accelerate the process, there are a few additional steps that must take place. In this event, we are paying off the arrangement in a lump sum which can differ from the repayment schedule established with your creditor.
