Roughly about 2 years ago I was reluctant at first to give this company a try as *** handled credit negotiations my self. This company beyond finance promised a speedy and hassle free approach to contacting creditors and negotiating better deals to which once fully paid off they would claim a 25% fee. Beyond Finance for 25 months before I called and stopped the program negotiated a lower amount for example I received a debt cancellation letter for taxes out lining the balance from *********** listed at 800 dollars. Beyond finance charged me 1650 and then paid themselves 25 % of that settled amount. This goes for other accounts where I contacted the creditors and had a smaller ***** then what was being reported by beyond finance. Not only did they pay themselves over 2500 in fees and services I did not know about but my debt resolution was taking a very long time since the money deposited was not going towards my debt but they pockets.

      Mr. *******,

Thank you for the opportunity to resolve your concerns.

A thorough review of your program has been completed as it relates to the issues you addressed in your communication.

At the time of your requested termination you had approved offers on six of your enrolled accounts.  Of those, three were completed and three were in progress.  You approved your first offer roughly four months into your term, which is in alignment with the established expectations.

Review confirmed that at the time of your enrollment you were educated, both verbally and in writing, about the program fee.  This is inclusive as to how and when the fee is earned and collected.  For reference, you can review paragraph 11. (a) Program Fees in your copy of your enrollment agreement.  It reads, in part, as follows:

"Program fees are due and earned when: (i) the Company reaches a resolution on an enrolled debt with a creditor, (ii) the Client accepts and agrees to the new terms, and (iii) the first payment of the new agreed upon terms is made to the creditor"

All fees were earned appropriately and within the established expectations.  All of your debts were resolved at the verified balance amount as provided by your creditors.

Should you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out.

      Sincerely,
      Beyond Finance, LLC

Dear Better Business Bureau,I am writing to file a formal complaint against Beyond Finance, a debt resolution company. On January 26, 2025, I initiated my first withdrawal request of $4,500 from my dedicated account, which holds a total of $10,000 for debt repayment purposes. Despite multiple follow-ups over the past two weeks, Beyond Finance has failed to process my withdrawal, providing only vague assurances to bear with us or be patient without offering a concrete resolution or timeline. This delay has caused significant financial strain, as I rely on these funds to manage my debt obligations. I have observed that similar complaints have been lodged against Beyond Finance, indicating a potential pattern of delayed fund disbursements and inadequate customer service I am seeking the immediate release of my requested funds and a comprehensive explanation for the delay. I trust that the Better Business Bureau can assist in facilitating a prompt resolution to this matter.Sincerely,****** ******

At the time of your requested termination you had approved one offer.  This offer was approved roughly three months into your term, aligning with the established expectations.

We apologize for the inconvenience.  It is important to keep in mind that Beyond Finance is not the financial institution that holds your funds, rather ********************************* (CFT) does.  Due to a new policy implementation within CFT, there was a delay in processing your request.

Our records confirmed that you have since received all funds as requested.  Should you have any additional concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Beyond Finance is a scam. They spread the narrative that they are saving you from bankruptcy but in the long run they are WORSE than bankruptcy. They give you a monthly payment and tell you it wont change but it drastically increases over and over and over until you can no longer afford the payments anymore. Then once that happens it makes it impossible to be able to settle any more of the accounts because any of the payment amounts they suggest to you are way too high.. by this point you're paying more monthly than before joining the program. Then accounts get dropped from the plan and then you get sued by creditors. I have now had to leave the program and start to file for bankruptcy because I have no other option. My lawyer told me he is shocked that they do not have a class action lawsuit against them. He also said that filing bankruptcy is better than enrolling in their plan. I wish I would have never gotten involved with these liars.

In the circumstance that an account moves into a legal status, you may be presented with a conditional offer that would require more funds to move forward with.  This would either be a lump sum or increase to your monthly deposit.  It is not required that you accept these offers as they are presented as an option available to you.

The possibility of accounts moving into a legal status was clearly covered during your enrollment interaction.

We are hopeful we have been able to provide additional clarity to your concerns.  Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Subject: Re: BBB Complaint Beyond Finances Deceptive Business Practices

      Dear Beyond Finance,
I find it hard to believe that you couldnt locate me in your system, given the detailed information I provided about your bait-and-switch sales tactics, fake underwriting process, and deceptive lead distribution practices.
This response feels like an attempt to avoid addressing the real issues. However, since you are requesting additional identifying information, please clarify:
Do you need specific transaction details, or are you claiming you cant find records of my employment?
Are you denying that your sales team falsely presents an underwriting process that doesnt exist?
Are you denying that customers are misled into believing they are applying for a loan when they are actually being enrolled in a debt settlement program?
Are you denying that your lead distribution system is manipulated to favor certain employees while others are set up to fail?
I expect a substantive response to the actual issues raised in my complaint, not evasive tactics. If you are unable to provide a meaningful resolution, I will escalate this matter further, including additional regulatory complaints and public exposure of your practices.

I look forward to your response.

I signed up with **, as months past I was terrified my debt had increased and had asked several times how long it would before a resolution was reached because I was concerned about the increasing debt. I was told that the debt would be negotiated at what it was when I signed up. Also, every time I called BF, when I had a question, I was told different information each time about the fees I was incurring in my "dedicated account". Not only do you pay for the dedicated account but there are fees that I still don't know what i was exactly paying for. Also, the debt at which is cut in half as advertised is not so, include the percentage the company takes and then the rest is charged off and looks like income for tax time. I called and wanted to withdrawal my account balance which I realized was gone, they took the fee before hand which they had not done before. I tried diligently to cancel all business with BF and today I get a notice stating I owe still 1k and some change for them to "make the deal" with my creditor. When they say that canceling at any time is possible. It is not true. The account manager i spoke with, tried to offer another loan to pay off the remaining credit. Why would I do that when I am trying to get out of debt. I was not given back the 2k they took out of my account and now they want another 1k for making a ***** payment to ************ Absolutely unacceptable for what they claim to be.

      Ms. *********,

Thank you for the opportunity to address your concerns.

A thorough review of your program was conducted as a result of the issued you shared in your communication.

At the time of your requested termination you had approved offers on three of your enrolled accounts.  Of those, two were completed and one was in progress.  You approved your first offer less than three months into your elected sixty month term.  This is in alignment with all established expectations.

All fees were clearly covered, both verbally and in writing, at the time of your enrollment and can be located in summary on page seventeen of your enrollment agreement.  Located here is also a clear breakdown of all estimated savings.  Additionally, detailed information about your program fee, including how and when it is both earned and collected, can be located in paragraph 11. (a).

Beyond Finance is very transparent about the interest that will accrue and sets the clear expectations that the fee is charged on the verified, enrolled balance.

Your request to terminate was dutifully honored, allowing you to cancel the program.

      Sincerely,
      Beyond Finance, LLC

Dear BBB,I am filing a complaint against Beyond Finance after a frustrating experience. I signed up through a referral from *** Debts, promoted by YouTuber ** ****. After depositing $197 twice a month into an escrow account, only two of my seven debt accounts were addressed. Both were reduced by half, but I was charged a full $800 fee upfront, which was nearly the same as the debt I owed. The payments made only showed $30 toward my debts.Despite being told to stop paying creditors, my credit score dropped to 500, and no further negotiations have occurred. Communication has been poor, and many BBB reviews appear fake.I feel misled, with unresolved debt, lost money, and a damaged credit score. I seek a thorough investigation into their practices.Sincerely

I signed up for a debt relief plan with them for a an "estimated" term of 48 months well after 60 months I called in to see why they continue to charge me and the *** stated that I had paid enough and after I pay a $25 fee they will close my account. Well a month goes by and they still didnt close my account so I called back in and the *** stated that the previous *** was mistaken I have to pay again to get it closed. So they charged me $36 more to close the account. Another month goes by they still have not closed my account so I call a third time and the *** states oh no they both made mistakes I have to pay another $25 to close the account. So I paid a third time and as of yet my account is still open. I dont know what to do to get them to close my account. They already have charged me over $300 a month for 12 months more than my contract was for and no matter what I pay them they wont close my account. On top of that they were supposed to settle my debts and it took them between 3-5 years to settle most of them ruing my credit and after all was said and done I ended up paying them more than if I had just paid the debts myself. They truly have taken advantage of me and wont let me get away. I feel like a hostage now. I paid them more than my debts were worth, for a year longer than the contract was supposed to be and they ruined my credit. They literally provided no service to me and wont let me leave.

I could expect my refund within seven business days. However, yesterday I did not see a deposit. I sent an email to inquire the whereabouts of my refund this morning. Beyond Finance replied and said we apologize, but there was not enough in your account to cover fees, therefore you will not get a refund. At the time I canceled my account, there was $343.82 in the account. I have received no explanation of how much fees were, what the fees were for, nor an explanation of not getting an refund until I inquired about the whereabouts of said refund. I would like the full amount refunded to me.

At the time of your requested termination you had approved offers on three of your accounts.  All three of these offers were in progress.  As educated at the time of your enrollment, both verbally and in writing, there is a program fee associated with each resolution.  You can reference this in paragraph 11. (a) of your enrollment agreement.  It reads, in part, as follows:

"Program fees are due and earned when: (i) the Company reaches a resolution on an enrolled debt with a creditor, (ii) the Client accepts and agrees to the new terms, and (iii) the first payment of the new agreed upon terms is made to the creditor."

Beyond Finance met all established expectations to earn the fee related to your three approved offers.  Once those fees were accounted for, there were no remaining funds in your dedicated account.  You have full access to your account ledger through **********************************

I called Beyond Finacial last January 2024seeking help with my Credit card bills. They explained to me that I had to quit paying all my ** and refer the companies to them. They told me they would talk to them and negotiate a repayment plan. They told me I would be paying them $132.** every 2 weeks and that would go into an account that they would use to pay off the **** The first one they did was my ****** account. I owed them a little over *****. They resolved it for 632.$ I had called them on several occasions asking them where the money was going. I was told FEE's for resolving the ****. was to be 25% .. the next card came up and they drained everything that was in this savings again.. I was told.. FEE"S.. Because they had negotiated a payment to another **** *********. They made 2 $46.00 payments and that was it. I had called them and told them I had my knee operated on and was not able to make the 132. but I made sure I paid something into it. ***** every two weeks. I kept and eye on my balance and all of a sudden.. BANG.. everything was gone.. and ********* cc was off the books. I called, and they only made 2 payments.. said the rest went to fees... and because i did not maintain the ****** every 2 weeks they could not guarantee the debtor the 46 a month. I am still paying them 150$? everything went to fees. This last time I had over 600$ in the account and ****.. it was gone.. AGAIN.. I called.. Fee's.. now I am very upset. But I had to figure out what to do. I kept paying them until this week. They got the last 132. from me and I pulled the plug. I asked to to please refund me part of my money.. since they are not resolving ANYTHING.. give me my 1175$ back they charged me for fees for cap1.. she changed the subject. I was also told that they were BBB certified, found out there are 400+ complaints on them to you. I feel scammed.I am living on ** and the ** companies jacked the interest %30.. i was desperate. Ms. ******,

Thank you for the opportunity to resolve your concerns.

A thorough review of your program was conducted as it relates to the items you addressed in your communication.

At the time of your requested termination you had approved offers on three of your enrolled accounts.  Of those, one was completed and two were in progress.  You approved your first offer less than three months into your elected forty-eight-month enrollment term.

At the time of your enrollment you were advised, both verbally and in writing, how and when your fees are earned and collected.  This can be referenced in paragraph 11. (a) and reads, in part, as follows:

" Program fees are due and earned when: (i) the Company reaches a resolution on an enrolled debt with a creditor, (ii) the Client accepts and agrees to the new terms, and (iii) the first payment of the new agreed upon terms is made to the creditor."

Beyond Finance met all established criteria in earning and collecting the program fees.

As explained your program success is dependent upon consistent on time payments of the contractually agreed upon amount.  As advised, altering that amount could put existing arrangements in jeopardy.

Should you have any remaining questions, do not hesitate to reach out.

      Sincerely,
      Beyond Finance, LLC

I cancelled with Beyond Finance before giving the Power of Attorney to do anything on my behalf. Beyond Finance however, moved forward without my consent. I found out from another agency that Beyond Finance was making up/creating debts (**********************) to add to my account to get more money.
