This business is definitely one of the most dishonest ones I have dealt with in a very long time. At first they were very nice and friendly, reassured me that what they do INS covers (turns out it doesn't), charged me high fees for two different jobs in May 2023: one for water Mitigation and other for Reconstruction. They work as two separate entities but I am convinced they work together, overcharge uninformed people and share the profit. Their agreement is also very savvy, and you don't expect the worst to happen. After the work was all done and paid for, they sent me a new bill for over $1,900 - 8 months later! At first I thought it was a bill with late fees since they didn't cash my check for months (in May 2024!). I addressed it with them but they are still very aggressive asking for a payment that I was charged months after the job was done. I am not paying for it. Filing a complaint and leaving reviews so people don't get scammed by Cutting Edge Restoration.

The original request was for an estimate for removal and replacement. Obviously your estimate was not for the complete job that was requested. Without any other statements prior to billing, I could only assume that I had paid in full. I didn't receive any other statements for work until I got upset after the second billing. Only then did I get any statements or paper work detailing what was done. I had no indication that the first billing was not for the total amount as it was received after the total job was completed. The second billing came a month after job completion and still I had not received any statements of work and or invoice. Only after complaining about the second bill did you send me anything. When I asked you for an estimate, I thought I was getting an estimate for the entire job as requested. (Copy of text to Co.) Work performed was adequate. The actual functioning of the business is chaotic at best. I did feel that they performed work that wasn't required and increased the bill almost double. I would not recommend them due to the business side as opposed to the labor side. They seem to operate as 2 separate companies that don't communicate with each other, business and labor, as I was billed twice before I saw any supporting documents, and only after complaining. Poor chain of command in my opinion.
