    On Wednesday, June 28, 2023, we initiated contact with ********************************* to book a fishing charter with him. After discussing the costs we confirmed that we wanted 2 spots for Tuesday August 29. We followed up on July 10 since we had not received any confirmation but he did not respond. We texted again on July 19 and he responded asking for deposit of $150 per person which I sent him via Zelle (total of $300). We did not hear anything from him after that. We messaged again on August 17 with no answer and again on August 23 asking him for information. He responded on 24th saying that his boat was out of service and that he would get our deposits refunded. He did claim to be trying to find another boat for us but that we would use the booking service if he found one and refund our deposits we paid to him directly. At this point we had already traveled down to ********* and were waiting to hear if we were getting to do our fishing trip or not. He basically stopped answering us. After our date came and went we started messaging him to ask about him refunding our money. Most messages have gone unanswered. Finally on September 14 he responded saying that his policy was no refund. However, we never received a contract after paying our deposit, we never received a cancelation policy, and he himself said that he would get our deposits refunded. It was only several weeks later he answered with a no refund policy. I want to make it clear that WE DID NOT CANCEL. He put his boat in the shop and canceled on us. We were there waiting to take our fishing trip.We have called/texted countless times with no response. I even texted that I would take legal action to get my money back but he will not respond to me at all and has only responded in limited messages with ******. Screenshots of text thread with ****** are attached that show us booking the trip, making the deposit, him saying he would refund. Subsequent texts requesting refund are unanswered.
