PMG signed a contract with Slashdot media in March 2022. At the time, we did not realize the contract included an auto-renew provision unless 10 days notice was given. Independent of the Slashdot contract, PMG made a strategic pivot in July of 2022, rendering the investment in Slashdot a sunk cost. Slashdot was marketing to potential customers that were no longer in our target market. The contract auto-renewed through a credit card charge in 2023 without either prior notice of renewal or a confirmation of renewal. This renewal was further obfuscated when PMG received a promotional email from Slashdot Media touting the benefits of upgrading from our current "free" model to the paid model. In 2024, the renewal was once again processed on March 2, 2024 without notice or confirmation. This charge was observed by PMG on March 8th at which point we immediately reached out to Slashdot and asked them to reverse the charge. Since that time, Slashdot has refused to reverse the charge, continued to stress the value they have provided (again, to a market we are no longer targeting) and pointed to PMG web tracking issues as the reason we are not understanding their value. PMG has repeatedly stated that we are happy to engage in conversation of how Slashdot can support our new goals and our willingness to pay for these services, but as a prerequisite, need to see the good faith effort of receiving a refund for services not yet rendered. Slashdot has stood firm that they will not process the refund without additional phone calls when there is nothing to talk about.Without the good faith refund, any future engagement will feel more like a hostage negotiation than a true value proposition.I've attached copies of the contract, the first and only payment confirmation we've received, and the promotional email in April '23 AFTER the sneaky auto renewal in March '23
