  This company is a fraud and scam. They place holds on peoples bank accounts without any documentation. When you call them, you get the runaround and you speak with SAME person anytime you dial different numbers from their locations. The womans name is ******** ******* and has NO CLUE on what her company is doing to people. Its as if shes reading from a script. The lawyers ********************************************* are scammers and this seems like a crime ring to obtain money from consumers using extortion. They place a hold on your account until a settlement is reached but the money needed to pay is located in the account thats on hold and they refuse to use the account in question. They want to hold your money hostage until you can come borrow the money and pay! This SHOULD BE ILLEGAL. I dont know how they are in business!

  **** men working for rich men. Divorce left my credit card in shambles and in the hands of Patenaude and Felix. I called to settle the debt in order to refi our house as the divorce was closing. They offered a settlement and I made my first payment. I then received a letter dated THE SAME DAY I called to take care of this for $1000 less than what they just told me on the phone. They refused to do anything about it. Yes, I agreed to the first amount but when a letter is sent the same day for so much less it just gives you an ick feeling that you just lined the pockets of the richies with an extra $1000 while you are struggling to put food on the table. So moral of the story, they have plenty of wiggle room, hold out on them and haggle for a lower settlement. I was in a desperate situation, they knew it and took advantage of it.

  unlawful debt collection practices for a debt collector, issued summons to me without contacting me first, alert do not give them any information, must contact your attorney, your rights must be protected by your attorney, they want your information so they can take you to court without dispute or payment plan.

  They call my mother who was in her 70s looking for me.When they knew how to get a hold of me. They did the same thing with my sister. I repeatedly asked them to send me a payment plan in writing.But they refused and then one day I get a letter to show up at court two days ago. A bit suspect. Then my bank accounts were frozen for like a month. They got what they got from me and then unfroze the account. Meanwhile, I had called telling them that I would pay them $400 a month but they needed to put it in writing. As this is what I discussed with the attorney when I did go to court about my bank account being frozen. This was several months ago and I still have not heard from them. I'm thinking about going to the office and paying them in pennies.

  This firm uses unethical business practices. They sent me a settlement and I went online and paid it. Then they said I still owed the balance. They went to court and filed a summons against me for the full amount not even including what I had already paid. Every time I called and reached a human (many time just left voicemails which were never returned), they stated they were debt collectors and not a law firm. They tried to collect the full amount. I had to fight with them to go into the account and see the payment, then fight with them about the settlement. They are completely unethical and do not follow any of the Fair Act requirements. Then finally they confirmed that they closed the case BUT would not give me the status of the summons. Another fight before they came back and said they had already filed a dismissal with prejudice. each one of these steps should have been done with fairness and transparency. They are just trying to get more money than what is owed. Shame to all corporations who use this firm - understand your reputation is linked to these debt collectors who refuse to follow the laws. They keep people on hold for unreasonable lengths of time, refuse to answer questions, and just repeat themselves and make threats. Law firms should practice ethical business and not intimidate and harass consumers.

  My wages are being garnished weekly by Patenaude and Felix in ********* ****** for ***********. Someone believes $400 a month is a reasonable amount of money paid for a $3000 debt. I don't have kids with Capitol One or Patenaude and Felix, so why am I paying child support type payments to these scammer's who's using to ****** court system to do so? My payments to Capitol One at good standing was nowhere near $400 monthly. It goes to ****** constables office then paid out to others involved. This doesn't make sense. Where's my money ?? really going? The government should investigate ?? these internal scams on the poor.

  When I first reached out to this office I was well received by *****, she was very kind and pleasant with her help and words. Then today I called and had the pleasure of speaking with ************************* she was professional and kind and just made my day with her help. I wasn't expecting this type of greeting from the office. Great customer service from both ladies with my calls to the office. Keep up the great customer service and kind words. I had an awesome experience!!!
