I am only writing this review because this is the first and only time I will be upset/disappointed.I would only come to this salon in the Fashion Valley mall if it's convenient for me, normally on a day off and if I needed my nails done.I have always known gel polish costs extra, maybe $5, $6, $8 or $10, I think last time was $10 extra the last time I went there sometime in 2023.I was having a nice pedicure and I knew I was going to pay an extra $10 on my mind for gel so when the lady asked if I wanted gel, I said yes.Normally, they say how much more like, "$10 more okay?" or "$10 more for gel. Is that okay?"She didn't say anything so like I said, I'm thinking it's $10 like it was last time I was there.I go up to pay and the other lady charging me says "$60" and I was really confused so I asked why if I got the basic/standard pedicure, nothing special, it said $35 so I thought I would hear $45.SHE SAID $25 EXTRA FOR GEL.That is straight up robbery and the lady doing my pedicure did not disclose that.There was nothing special/different on this gel polish, the bottle itself of a gel polish is not even $25 at any range, at a beauty store, at a Target or ******** even at a wholesale/professional price!I don't cause scenes so I just paid but I am very very upset with their "business." More and more salons are becoming this way without saying any price points, even on their menu, I did not see anything on a $25 gel polish.I just tipped the lady less because I was not planning to have spent more than $45 on my pedicure yesterday (3/21/24)Super disappointing how sneaky & unprofessional nail salons are nowadays. This isn't the only salon either but I feel I need to put this review so people are aware/prepared to lose money at this salon.
