1 starWent in to pay off our lease. They said they would not need to run our credit because we were paying it off immediately. A few minutes later we got a notice that our credit had been pulled, which brings our credit score down for up to a year. When we confronted them about it, they said nothing could be done. Incompetent and unhelpful management and staff!Review fromAnjelika G

To say I am disappointed is an understatement. We were greeted by ******* and we showed her to the car we were interested in, a 20 Edge. She unlocked the car, but we quickly noticed evidence of rat droppings all throughout the engine (which we were told would be taken straight back to service, but did not move in the 3 hours we were there.) Fortunately there was another used **** Edge on their lot, but at a higher price. ******* left to go find the key, and after 10+ minutes of waiting for her to return I went back to the showroom where she was now helping another customer. ******************** us and allowed us to test drive the vehicle, after is where ****** became unpleasant to work with. Any question we had, his response was Well will it make a deal? I understand you get paid off a deal, but again- customer service. I asked THREE times to have the OPTIONAL vehicle tracking device removed. First I was told, its already installed in the vehicle and cant be removed. Let me discount it. No- I am not interested please have the add on removed from the price so I can see the correct break down of what I am paying for. He comes back with the cost in half (still $695) saying that taking it out is not an option. ****** brings back a new breakdown, with the device removed (or so we were told and shown!) Fast forward to being in finance with *****. We get all the way to the last 3 pages of signatures in the purchasing of our new car, and he says Here is the cost of the vehicle- our sales manager discounted it $695 and included the **** tracking service into the cost of the car. Im sorry, what? We DECLINED, 3 times! Also, We inquired about **** Pass and Mannys response was youre buying a used car, you dont get anything. ****s website says otherwise. All in all, I left feeling disappointed and lied to. After spending a large amount of money, Id hope for respect, and to feel that I can trust the dealership but I have left feeling the opposite.Kearny Mesa Ford

1 starI have never encountered such horrible treatment by an employee at a service center before. I have had mechanical work done twice by the Kearny Mesa Ford service center in the past year, & both of my appointments were with ****. In my first experience, he was dismissive & short, but I didn't think much of it at the time; I just attributed it to potentially being busy/over-worked. About 6 months later, I made another apt to bring my **** sedan in for a diagnostic service, because there was a serious concern with my vehicle (suddenly dying/stalling out on the freeway). Once again, my apt was with ********* instantly remembered him from the last time. Although he was ~30 minutes late to my appointment, I got. a chance to observe him interacting with the customer ahead of *** **** seemed pleasant/kind with that customer. So, I felt optimistic about my upcoming appointment with him too. **** was exceptionally rude. I cannot stress enough how unprofessional & simply mean this man is. It honestly felt intentional & I truly believe that he has biases that should be addressed by his superiors before continuing to provide services to the public. Because of the space limits, I will only describe 1 specific encounter, but there were several & I hope to get the opportunity to discuss this more with the leadership because **** is a problematic ************ worry that there is a pattern of bad/biased ************* should be properly documented and addressed. After my interaction with ****, I quickly took notes while it was still fresh. In discussing the problems with my vehicle with ****, I was honestly not understanding the differences in service options. I asked clarifying questions, bc I was worried about the diagnostics not picking up the problem bc the engine light comes & goes, & of course the day of the appointment it was off. His response "Yeah, I have tried explaining it to you, and you just arent getting it. I dont know what I can do to make you understand."Review fromRon D

1 starI knew I should have stuck with my **** dealership I trusted on my previous **** purchases. Thought it would be a better experience trusting a dealership closer to home. Long story short, its been over a month since I cancelled an online order. I shouldve received my deposit by now. After emails, phone calls, in person visits, being passed on from one representative to another there has been no resolution. Itll be there soon oh there was an issue in the business office someone will take care of this today. Check out the **** dealership in *****, ************, or *********** vs here. Save yourself the headache.Review fromLuAnn G

NO stars for this dealership! They sold me a *********************** Contract for $2295.00 I didn't want and I have asked for a refund five times or more to no avail. I filled out the form to receive the refund and still no refund. *************************** and ******************* were the finance personnel who can't seem to do their jobs. The contract has been cancelled for months now too.Kearny Mesa Ford

They mishandled *************** information when applying for a loan that we received and since then I've received multiple credit app rejection letters from random lenders with my name listed as a co-signer for a random stranger! Frightening thinking about identity theft or data breach - I'm told that only 1 loan was approved with my name on it, but that's not so reassuring, is it? My name and *************** co-mingled on credit apps countrywide. Otherwise, we really enjoyed ***'s salesmanship and ******* customer service processing us - a little disappointed this spoiled things.Kearny Mesa Ford

This was possibly the worst car buying experience I have ever had. To be completely honest, I just want to bring the car back get my money back and go somewhere else. I purchased my vehicle on the 28th of March its now July pretty much and I have no license plates, my bank still hasnt received the title and I pretty much have been brushed off by everyone who works there. Some fraudulently filed me as a non resident military person because I bank through navy federal and put that in my paperwork. *** called numerous times and have taken time to go down there and have been told the same thing. Nothing was filed for my vehicle besides the fees so as of right now I am driving a non registered vehicle and if I get pulled over run the risk of having my car impounded. I am so frustrated and at this point have filed an investigation through the dmv and a formal complaint with corporate. This dealership has continuously lied and I would be wary shopping here.Kearny Mesa Ford

********, we're very sorry for the inconvenience. We have been trying to obtain the title which has delayed the process. We understand that our Finance Director issued you a temporary permit that is good until September. We will do our best to have this resolved before then. We thank you for your patience.Review fromCraig W

1 starThis dealership (service department) ran electrical issue diagnostic tests to determine source of a parasitic draw on 2017 Explorer battery that I was battling for previous couple of weeks. Their testing deemed electrical system is fineno problems. They suggested that I buy a new MotorCraft battery. We then returned to **************** where 10 days later we had a dead battery. So, I spent $400 at this dealership for nothing in return. The **** dealership in ************ discovered a faulty keyless entry module, and a APIM module, btw. I cant believe that **** does not replace these components for free. Bad design if all I get is ****** miles on a computer component. Internet search discovered many bad APIM modules. This experience makes me reconsider who will get my business moving forward.Review fromBrad M.

My middle row seatbelts do not work. A couple months ago the belt on the right side began snagging on something internal when pulling the belt to strap in, at this point it became inoperable. Then 3 weeks ago the left middle row seat belt snags and rips while going to strap in with that one. At this point i called *** right away(Kearny Mesa, where i bought it) and was told that i could get it repaired in a month or two. At this point I called the manager and explained this is a safety issue and he referred me over to *** who then said come down so we can take some pictures and get *** ******** to fix this. So i came down right away. I asked why they needed ******** from *** as my car was under warranty and faulty seatbelts are a serious safety issue and *** said that sometimes people sabotage seatbelts purposefully! I was a bit confused by this. Anyway Since this day 3 weeks ago I have not heard a thing from the service manager or ***. When you call nobody picks up, literally zero service. I can never recommend a *** to anybody ever again. Please fix my middle row seatbelts on my 2020 *** ******* purchased brand new at your dealership!Kearny Mesa Ford

Dear ***************************,We apologize for not getting back to you sooner. We have looked into your concern and we did submit the repair request to the manufacturer for warranty assistance. However, *** declined the repair based on the abuse on the seatbelt. We have pictures of the seat belt for reference that we can provide for you to see the neglect. Please feel free to contact us at ************.Brad M.

I called number provided above and questioned the abuse claim put forth by Kearny Mesa. She was very smug and did not respond so I requested her boss. I then talked to *************** the Vice President of Kearny Mesa Kia and he said they would contact *** to get the ********s replaced via warranty as he acknowledged the safety issue. I suspect he will make things right in this *** ******** debacle. Maybe a recall will even come out of it if *** takes the appropriate steps. I even said I will pay for the ********s even though I know thats not right. Still waiting on this mess to be cleared up, I will update then. I believe at the Vice Presidents attention there will not be a resolve at this level soon.Review fromVickie J

1 starI went to *** ********************** Mesa to get a schedule oil change. The mechanic forgot to put my oil cap back on my motor. Drove the car over 2 weeks being having problems every since. At first they were being nice. I went in Monday afternoon as my service advice told me. After being there over 4 hours. Told me I need Air compressor, a month ago they said I needed A C compressor. I told them I don't even use my air conditioning, so how is that the problem. I told him my car wasn't like this when I bough it in for just a service. They told me they wasn't going to pay for it that the air compressor is internal not external and oil didn't get on that. I talked to the manager he said I had to wait until they find one in San Diego at another *** *********** I ask how long would that take he said he didn't know. This is just way to much for me. I told him his mechanic let the cap off my motor, and my car sounding like s*** All the manager of the service department said I have to wait until they find a part and to see if *** or they insurance will pay for it. I told someone was going to pay for. All my paper work they gave me states they left the cap off my motor.
