I have two pets that I take here. One is microchipped and the other is not. Somehow they have two microchip numbers one for each pet but its not even the correct microchip number. When I called them to fix it they said someone will call me within the week. I have an appt in 2 days with a full service vet but I wont be able to go because the microchip numbers dont match.Review from Tammie C

I am highly dissatisfied with the Petco Grooming in **************. I am new to the area and moved from just south and have previously used Petco in that area where I take my 3 year old Cockapoo for grooming. I went in yesterday to see who would be grooming him just to connect, bring his updated shot records as he is particular about who and how he is groomed. His would be groomer saw in his notes where he will try to bite towards the scissors when clipping his nails, but nothing that indicates that he is a violent dog who bites his groomer. I brought him in today (Saturday) for his appointment and his groomer seemed hesitant, based on our conversation yesterday, as though she was afraid of him. For ******** sake, he has never bit anyone! After realizing that she was that way, I decided to give him one of his anti-anxiety pills (one-half) as he gets nervous from loud noises and fourth of July celebrations, so I only give it to him occasionally just in case. I made the mistake, of being transparent, by telling her I gave it to him to ease her mind. She then went and got her manager, who then told me they could not take him because of that! And proceeded to refer me to another groomer! As she continued to tell me how they couldn't take him, I became upset and angered that I just left. It was so hurtful! I then, out of curiosity, checked the website, they have added notes to my account. I feel so mistreated! I have used Petco for YEARS and to move to his area to be treated this way, is so hurtful and in my opinion, discriminatory! They probably looked at me (being black) and formed an opinion, without giving it a try! Well, thank God for options! Petco is not the only place to go for grooming, but I wanted to put this out there, regarding this awful treatment! So unfortunate!!!Review from Tanya M V

I took in my cat for what they deemed emergency surgery. $2000.00 to be exact. Just to have to return 2 days laters due to her not eating. I was referred to missionvet where I spent another $1000.00. Just to have another doctor say they had done a bad job closing up my cat. I had been a dedicated customer since 2019, but after this I can longer do business with a company who doesnt care about your pets life, but see them as a dollar sign. I was repeatedly as how much I can afford, whats my budget. If you value you the life of your fur baby go to a pet hospital that treats you like a person and not just an ATM. IF YOUR DOG HAS KIDNEY FAILURE THEY WILL NOT GROOM HIM. (HEALTH ISSUE)Today I had ****** scheduled as always with petco and was told by the manager ******* because he has kidney failure that they cant groom him. Mind you has been diagnosed by Vetco for more than 4 years and has had grooming consistently by petco. ******* stated thats in their policy with an extremely rude and condescending tone. I then asked for the policy (she also kept interrupting me while I was attempting to finish a sentence) she said she does not have it on hand. Thankfully my old childhood neighbor ***** works in grooming and was extremely helpful and referred me to another vet clinic that can cater to his needs. By this time ******* walked off and I stated there is no need to be rude. She the replied Im not going to do this with an attitude and proceeded to walk away as opposed to helping me as a manager. ***** did Kristens job as an employee instead of her taking accountability and apologized for her behavior. ******* couldnt care less about the customer needs or your pet. I had to ask ***** can you please check on ******* regarding the policy so I can have it moving forward. This was after 20mins of waiting. She then comes back and shows me a policy that doesnt state (we dont take dogs with health issues such as kidney failure) ****** has been groomed this year by petco and its extremely unfortunate and a horrible look towards this location ******* is not an ASSET to this company more like a liability. I also will repot this to the BBB. ******* refused to hear me out and walked away as I was speaking with her regarding my concerns. As a manager if you cant handle a conversation you dont need to be a manager.Review from Carrie D

This company is rude and they refuse to donate the return food and beds to the animal shelters. They throw live critters out in the dumpster. I have been volunteering my time to help feed the animals in all the shelters near me and Petco throws out $$$& a day in food and on top of that they slice bags open I have spoken to store managers about helping animal shelters and they always say no! What kind of pet store doesnt help the community? I use to shop there until I found out they were dumping live critters in garbage cans and selling outdated dog foodReview from RYAN A

I have been dealing with the atrocious company for over a month with a single fish, over 20 emails, 5 phone calls, multiple attempts to contact managers.I still don't have my fish, they constantly keep shipping other people's when it comes into stock before shipping my own.The final shipped me one, it was dead, and once again I've been waiting over a month for my fish.Petco needs to go bankrupt and close their doors, completely useless company worst customer service on the planet.Review from Kathleen R

they send product to you within 2 days for the first 6 auto ship, then decide to make delivery within 4 days, and now updated to deliver in 7 days from the east coast when there are several stores near ** in ********. my cat has FIV, and gum disease and will only eat the products I order. To not be able to get this as they stated is very costly to go to another store and get individual packets. customer service reads from a script and they offer no real explanation as to why delivery is delayed. petco doesn't even deserve a 1 rating. they should get a zero rating. i won't ever use them again.Review from Raj C

Petco sold me a product that has been known to stop working/have issues. The product was the EveryYay self-cleaning water fountain. It has several reviews on their site of the pump just stopping without any reason. When contacted, they said there was nothing they could do because it happened outside of the return policy. The fountain stopped working after 3 months. Take this item off your shelves and get better customer service.Review from Cathy R

Do not order online. Ordered an aquarium stand online for delivery. Did not receive the product on the estimate delivery date. Did not receive any emails regarding a delayed delivery. Chat with *** to find out new delivery date produced no new delivery date. Was told I would receive updated delivery date within ***** hours. When nothing came, I initiated another chat to inquire about cancelling order. I waited the usual ***** hours for a cancellation confirmation. No confirmation, and pending transaction reflected on my credit card account. After 48 hours, I called the toll free number. The same script was read to me. The customer service ***s were kind, but, they are just reading the script or performing from a list. As a consumer, I did not feel my issue was being handled. I asked for a new estimated delivery date - I didn't get one. As a consumer, I have the right to cancel an order if I don't know when the product will arrive. I contact the company twice, and they cannot confirm that my order is cancelled. TERRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICE! Our family will never shop ************************** or in store again.
