Truthfinder had reported on the background check information that was reported through Truthfinder. My ex used your services to track me down from a domestic violence situation. He was able to get a hold of my cell phone number my address, and all the information he needed to stalk and harass me. Your company will be brought to a lawsuit if I come to any harm. In the meantime, I want you to delete any in all information you have of me off of your site. I do not give you permission to put the names of my relatives my date of birth. My address is my phone numbers or anything else that is actually not a matter of public record because criminal matters license is held and other things like that are not public record and not easily accessible. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. I have followed your instructions, and I have suppressed my information and removed my full backgrounds from all of your sites. Thank you for your help in this matter. I can provide you with the restraining order as well as the police reports if you need more information however, suppressing this information does help me relocate and get out of this situation without having a replay of what just happened.

I found out on 9 January 25 that Truth Finder has been charging me every month since May 2023 for a total of $308.55.Last billing occurred 5 January 25 in the amount of $28.05.I did not notice this recurring charge because my printer was broken and I had internet trouble after moving my residence.I did not agree to a subscription, or understand that I was being signed up for a subscription.I have not used this subscription. Under normal circumstances, when a user activates an account with **********************, they must provide an electronic signature authorizing TruthFinder to charge their card, including for the automatic renewal of their membership.
To ensure a thorough investigation of the account in question, ********************** requests that the billed recipient contact us first in the event of proclaimed fraud. Once we confirm this claim, we disable the account, cancel all memberships, and return the last charge to the original payment method.
We have cancelled and refunded two months of payments on this account back to the payment option used to enroll, and no further charges will be incurred. Additionally, we have disabled the account to prevent any further access. Please allow up to 3-5 business days to see the charges reflected in your account, depending on your financial institution. I paid $ ***** per month over a period of four months, totalling $113.32. I wanted to use their service to look myself up, but when I looked myself up, I found nothing on myself. I paid over a hundred dollars for nothing. I requested a full refund but the told me they could only refund me one month's membership fee. I made several attempts to speak with a supervisor in order to receive a full refund but every attempt failed. I believe that since I was not able to find anything whatsoever when looking myself up that my request for a full refund is warranted. I notice that they have many complaints against them, so I know it's not just me. I notice that Truthfinders has a stellar rating *an A) with the BBB despite their faulty business practices. This looks fishy to me. When I asked the rep * who claimed to be a supervisor) if there was any other person or **** that I could speak with, she said no. My bank *********)declined to pay them on the fourth month, I imagine because they have identified them as a suspicious business. I have cancelled my membership on the first week of Jan. 2025. They have promised me a refund for just one month's membership. which is for $ *****. I am not satisfied with their offer. This business operates using multiple web site names truthfinder.com, *****************, ******************** etc. They store all my personal information without my permission, and they dispaly my personal and confidential information on various search engines without my permission. When I try to fill out an opt out for, I am being asked to provide additional information such as date of birth, etc which will put me in further risk and also amounts to harrassment. On 27 November 2024 I requested Truthfinder and **************** to erase my personal information found on their website. I sent follow-up emails on 12/2, 12/10, 12/13, and 12/29 inquiring about the status of my request and making subsequent requests to suppress my personal information. Truthfinder and **************** repeatedly sent me the same generic email about using their ******************** which does not even work. I complained about this and sent them proof of my identification which they ignored multiple times. Truthfinder and **************** are violating my right to privacy. Just as many others have filed complaints that your suppression center does not work, I experienced the same difficulties with your dysfunctional system. It is designed in a way to make it impossible for many people to suppress their personal data on your websites. I contacted your customer support team multiple times about your suppression center not working. You ignored all of my requests for assistance. I sent you several demand letters with verified ID to **************************** cease the posting, sharing, selling, and storing of information about me across your platforms for more than a month. You also ignored all of my demands. Under the *** I have the right to delete my personal data. Under the *** your company is required to respond to requests by individuals asserting the rights granted to them under the law. You did not respond to any of my requests and demands, but instead sent the same generic email about using the suppression center despite me informing you repeatedly that your suppression center does not work. Your response of finally acknowledging my privacy demands has only come as a result of me reporting you to the BBB. You would have continued ignoring my formal requests if not for being reported, just like the many other complaints by others whose privacy you similarly violated by ignoring their privacy requests. I expect my information to be deleted, not just suppressed. I expect a formal apology. I also expect you to propose a monetary settlement for the pain and suffering caused unto me for your repeated violations of my rights and the willful negligence of your duty to respect my privacy requests.
