I was contacted today 12/4/2023, at 4:07pm by a ************ number with a representative claiming to be with United Aid Group. Supposedly they could get my student loans dismissed if I qualified. Before I know it this person had CHANGED my password on the Studentaid.gov website and was texting me pictures of my dashboard and my loans. He also text a photo of a letter where a client was happy and had his loans dismissed with black markings all over it. This person said that if I qualify I will have to make 5 payments of $239 to get the loans removed. Thank goodness I realized I was being scammed and reset my Studentaid username and password while he was still yacking the lies. Please be aware of this SCAM and how quickly these people can get your complete information.

Its been a year and I never heard back from them. My service told me nothing has been filed and had me call the federal trade commission about this. I want my money back.

A ************************* with United Aid group called me in October 2021 who told me I could get my loans with Everest forgiven due to the lawsuit they had. I then spoke to a *********************** who told me that if I made 4 payments of $239 my loans would be forgiven, but it could take up to two years to fall off my credit. Here we are two years later and they are still there. Not only that I received a repayment letter from the loan department. I emailed her and *************************** but got an error message sent back to me. This company is a scam and just takes your money without results.

United Aid Group contacted me regarding student loan forgiveness. Initially stating they were going to send me some information via email regarding the school I attended. Then stated they texted me a verification code from my FSA account. I asked, "Are you trying to login to my FSA account?""Yes, we're trying to help you""I'm sorry I won't be giving you the verification number."They then hung up. This is clearly a scam. I am writing to BBB to inform other users DO NOT share your personal information with them, click a link, or share and 2FA verification phone numbers.

      Hello,

We always advise and walk our clients through the verification process so as to confirm loans and amount for eligibility reasons. It is not protocol for our advisors to improperly request information on the **** or hang up on a prospective client. We will investigate which agent did this and take appropriate action to ensure this does not happen to any of our future clients. You have not been scammed and you have no proof of a scam taking place. We do however appreciate your feedback so we can investigate what occurred.

      Regards

I received a call from United Aid Group rep telling me I can get my loans from ********* discharged with the Borrower Defense program since they are on the list of having told students they would be able to get into x career etc. And the amount of interest they were charging me was illegal. They said they could prepare docs and send to **** of *** But they needed 2 payments while it was processing and that it could take 90 to 120 days. I followed up and they just keep saying "be patient" they already took 1 payment from my card and a second is coming out soon. I now know they were scamming me and have ALL my information including pay stubs

This company called me in 2021. The lady I spoke to claimed that she worked for the department of education. I was asked to make 2 payments of 397 dollars for my student loans to be dismissed. I was scammed by them. I cant get a hold of anyone in this company and now they I have done more research, I see that many people experienced the same thing with them. I am suing the owner *****, and anyone else affected by this Can reach out to me. This should not continue to happen.

In 2021 I worked with this company to submit an application for Borrowers Defense. They assured me that I had a valid dispute with the school I attended. I paid two payments of $397. It has been two years. I have not received any calls, when I call its always no one available and will call me back. I have emailed the two people who helped me and the main email address and gotten no response. When I go to student aid website my application does not show up. They have scammed and committed fraud and should be shut down.

Our customer service email ********************************** does work as well and is routinely checked with our IT team. It may be a possibility that your emails are going to spam. Please contact the support email or call our support line at ************. We will also make sure to have someone from the team personally reach out to you as soon as possible.
