Have been using hicks financial for several years to do our taxes. Dropped off tax documents April 1st, I had the understanding that they would submit an extension for me which they did. Since then they have not responded to phone calls, voicemails or emails requesting for status. After sending another email on Monday September 13th I received return emails stating that email addresses no longer exist. All Im trying to do is get my tax documents back so I can get my taxes submitted prior to the extension date. What is my recourse. Is there a way to get my documents back? I see this as not only very unprofessional of the hicks financial to not provide any communications. But also a serious breach of personal information. Who knows who now has my information, financial data, social security numbers.

We made a tax appointment with Hicks Financial over the phone and they sent us a link to upload all of our financial documents. I immediately uploaded them. When we showed up for our appointment, we weren't in their books as having an appointment and they lost all of the documents that I uploaded in their system. We eventually had our taxes done by them, but then we received a letter from the *** saying we still owed over $1000 from what Hicks Financial told us to pay. We immediately called and emailed Hicks Financial about this and they said they would contact us back. We also told them the due date of when we needed to pay the additional $1000. It's been a few weeks and we have not heard from them. We left several voice messages and emails. The *** charged us a late fee and we still don't know if Hicks Financial made the mistake or the ***. Hicks Financial NEEDS to find out if they made the mistake or not and let us know if we do indeed need to pay or if it is the ***'s mistake (which we are hoping) and if that's the case, let us know what to provide to the *** to show them that we don't owe. Thank you
