After booking my appointment on 6/17 thru 6/18/24 and waiting for the host to show up. I receive a text the same day saying car was booked. Then he said he dont do one day trips . This host is not new to the protocols and procedures because he had over 80 trips. According to Turo Terms of Service. Fail to honor your commitments, including: Fail, as a host, to timely deliver, make available, or return any vehicle and optional Extras, unless you have a valid reason. In my case their was no valid reason. He just canceled after accepting the money and waited the last minute. The host had i dont care attitude and said he dont care what i tell Turo. This was an huge inconvenience and i informed Turo representative of everything and said he would be dealt with and they would call me to let me know the outcome. They did no such thing and on top of that i had to wait a few days to get my money back. This prevented me for trying to booked another car someplace else. I was very disappointed with the company along with the people they have working for them. Also i couldn't booked another car because i had to wait to receive my money back. The rep said 5 to 7 business days.

I had a very poor experience with Turo and do not plan to ever use this company again. I booked a car over four months in advance of our vacation, and I received regular reminders of the reservation right up until the day of our trip. However, I discovered that the car was unavailable and the reservation was cancelled only after searching for it at the *************** for an hour. The host and the company were grossly negligent in failing to communicate with me about this reservation, which was very inconvenient for our family and also forced me to scramble for any available seven-seater car and pay much more at the counter than I would have with an advance reservation.

I'm not one to normally write reviews, but this was by far the worst service I've ever had. For all curious stick to the traditional route. The car provider tried to force me to cancel because they couldn't deliver. I still got charged the cancelation fee. Then they won't refund the cost and deposit, say I got to wait 10 day. Now I'm stranded at the airport with my money in limbo. I was on the phone with them for hours and no results.

After booking one and only trip, I received a damage claim for a scratch on the vehicle. I asked for documentation from the mechanic who would be servicing the car, but I did not receive it. Nonetheless I accepted liability and asked to be put on a payment plan which was offered through the standard coverage I purchased, through which I was only responsible for 500$ worth of the claim (which was over 1500 for a scratch). This began a long saga of harassment which still has not been resolved. After speaking to an agent on the phone, I was told that the plan would be provided through the collections agency was given a number to call. The agency had no record of my claim, and told me to call Turo again. But suddenly I started receiving calls and emails from an agent at Turo claiming that I haven't responded and they are sending my case to collections. Very confusing. I called again, and apparently a mistake was made. I provided my payment info and received confirmation that the plan was set up. I received an email confirmation providing the payment schedule. A few weeks go by and I received MORE calls and emails claiming that I haven't responded And basically accusing me of negligence. I called AGAIN and had to verify AGAIN that my case was received. I am told that they have to investigate, and will be in touch. No one called me back, and I continue to be harassed by this agent, who has not responded to ANY of my email replies. No payment has ever been processed despite attending to every step that I was told to do from day one. It is clearly negligence on Turo's side that this continues to happen, yet they continue to lie and claim that this is all somehow my responsibility to resolve, when there is literally nothing I can do. It has reached the point where now I have screenshots and recordings of the emails and phone calls and am considering hiring a lawyer for mitigation.

I rented a car for my daughters competition. The car was parked at a hotel. Checked everything out. There was damage already to the car. Sent over the pics. Next day sent more pics because I missed some things. The owner ADMITTED there was some damage. Fast forward, returned the car with absolutely no damage caused during my use. Two days later got a message saying there was hail damage on the roof and hood of the vehicle. Of course u disputed it because it did not hail that weekend i used the car. Even googled the last time it googled in ******* and it had been months. So then the owner claimed there was a different type of damage when that couldnt be proven. I spoke to Turo several times. The last person I spoke to reviewed everything and agreed that I caused no damage and not to worry. About a week later I got an email stating that I would be charged almost 1k for a dent smaller than a dime on the door. I closed my card on file immediately while I dispute this bogus claim. Somehow they got my new card information that is not on file with them and have been trying to debit that one. Now its in collections. I have all communications with myself and Turo via social media and some email exchanges. I tried to record conversations but was unaware screen record couldnt do that. This has been stressful.

Turo owes me $1362.18 since June 23rd 2024. I have spoken with Serveral representatives who gave me nothing but lip service. I plan on speaking with an attorney to find out my next course of action.

Tried twice, first car was filthy and wrecked! Second car was a Tesla with a HORRIBLE PUKE BARF SMELL! Bad vibration, dirty inside and had almost no charge on pickup... Even though I paid for prepaid charging they want to charge me extra! Never use, HORRIBLE service and company!

Seems like I am not the only one who got the shaft with Turo. Very first time using this shady company. Rented a luxury car, host was great, treated it with respect. Did all the right things. Went to go book another rental and got the restricted notice on my account. My question is, how do you let someone rent a luxury car then turn around and give a blanketed restriction response. My opinion is that if Turo treats people this way... They will be a distant, unmissed memory from the tech world. My assumption is that there will be another car rental company that shuts these guys down because above all.... The PEOPLE make YOUR business. So, respectfully, Turo can shove it and continue down this road of mistreatment. Won't get far.

I paid for my daughter for one day. Then she continued to pay for several days after on her own card. And now they keep trying to charge my card several more times. Days after the car was returned. I disputed the charges and now they saying I need to contact the guy using my card because he is a friend or family member. Straight malarkey and they keep trying to charge my card.

Do not use Turo unless you like being scammed out of money. I rented a Tesla Model Y and took it on a trip. On our way back to turn it in I noticed a scratch on the driver door. I, doing the right thing, let the host know before I even return it and communicate that I will pay repairs since it happened during the trip. The host just throws out a random number of money for me to pay him, which is the furthest thing from professional. I ask this guy to just send me an invoice of what the repair was going to cost; h*** I didnt even care if he maded the s*** in ********* Word, just send me an invoice like normal people do when there is a quote for repairs. Host gets combative and refuses to literally just send a f***** piece of paper with a dollar amount on it. So i get Turo involved just asking them to help me get documentation from the host. Never once denied responsibility or refused to pay. They first say Im not at fault, then turn around and charge me $500+ for not even a 3 scratch to be painted. Never got any invoice or anything justifying the amount I paid. I sent them the transcript of the conversation showing where I respectfully asked the scamming a** host to send me an invoice. Ive been requesting explanations for over a year and they keep promising someone will review the case each time. All i can do at this point is wait for karma to come back on that scammin a** host and this sorry a** company. Wishing them the very worst with all of my heart
