1 starIf I could leave zero stars I would! I booked with this company 2 weeks in advance. Paid my money on time. The day of my trip, I received a phone call stating my trip was cancelled due to the person extending their trip. Okay so what about me. What am I suppose to do ? This woman **** ***** sends me an email with recommendations on other cars. None of the cars met the requirements that I originally paid for, plus I had to put more money towards the car, & to top it off **** kept interrupting me as I was trying to get an understanding. I then asked for a supervisor to speak with she then proceeded to try to tell me what I should do with MY money. After having to get loud just to be heard she put me on hold & then hung up on me. I call back & get ***** I explained to **** the situation & asked for a supervisor. **** puts me on hold for 10 minutes & then tell me I cant speak to a supervisor until 1-2 business days. Mind you its SATURDAY!!! So not only am I @** out of a trip but I cant speak to anybody higher up. They send me a message saying oh youll get a refund back in 4-6 business days, but **** tells me 6-10 ! So realistically yall took my money, wont get me a car with the same requirements that I PAID for, I get hung up on & just disrespected all around ! At this rate they shouldnt be taking anyones money until the day of if they know they have the option to extend your trip this was a major inconvenience for me. And unfortunately I cant get my money back no time soon & cant book elsewhere.Review fromTiara C

1 starTuro is the worst company I have ever done business with. Ive gone back and forth with them on a VERY CLEAR safety issue with a person who is unwell that is hosting. We had this host SHOW UP at my friends house claiming that I left property (a garage door opener) that was there when I rented the car and using that as an excuse to gain access to the property. My friend took it because he didnt know what was going on, and they are saying because of that, the host was okay to be there. The person I spoke with ****** *. from the safety department disregarded everything I said and believed the Hosts story even though THREE of us on the receiving end have the same story. Its disappointing. If you can, STAY AWAY FROM TURO! This company is actually a scary place to do business and they do not care about your personal safety.Review fromMehmet U

1 starI rented a Tesla through Turo and discovered the car had an active in-cabin camera recording the interior during my tripwithout my consent. This is a gross violation of privacy and possibly a breach of Turos own policies and privacy laws. When I raised this concern, Turo dismissed it and focused only on a minor charge dispute. I was told the charge was validated without providing any clear evidence and had to fight just to get the issue escalated.Turo refused to pause the charge during review and only after pushing hard did they agree to escalate the privacy violation. This company shows zero accountability for user privacy and protects its hosts over its customers.Ive filed a formal protest and am considering legal action for the violation. I would strongly warn anyone against using this platformespecially if you value your privacy.Review fromGenevieve S

1 starI feel like I got scammed. I am not sure if the feeling is coming from Turo or the host, which was Kims Cars when I worked with them but now I am seeing you call them ***** Cars. That doesnt seem right to me? This example if the hosts name change in this survey email is pretty indicative of the entire Turo experience. Facts and details seemed to change quickly. It was difficult to keep up with what was being asked of me, who was in charge of looking at my dispute, why certain decisions were being made, and even what exactly happened in the end when Turo charged me. I didnt know who to believe. That on its own feels yucky enough when we are talking about a car rental that went from about $400 to $1400 dollar experience. But I also felt pressured multiple times, by multiple Turo associates, to make choices quickly and to not consider the entire situation. Again, I think y'all may be running a scam. I have told all my friends who use Turo to stop and I am going to post about this experience as often as I can and in as many places is possible, because it was truly bad.Review fromErik S

1 starIve been a turo user for years. Even was a host at one point. However my last trip to ************* landed me a parking ticket for beach parking (apparently as there still is no evidence of the ticket placed on the vehicle...photo proof down below). Exactly 45 days after the rental ended I get a notice from the host on turo of a $65 ticket that was given while the vehicle was in my possession. He sent proof of the ticket that was mailed to him however I had to ask where the vehicle was ticketed as I never seen a ticket on the vehicle ever. I called the city of *************** Florida parking division and was told that its not uncommon for tickets to blow away.(Knowing this, why wouldnt they take photographic evidence of the ticket on the vehicle). However the city of ********* stated that they would waive the fees and accept the $40 original ticket amount. Problem was turo already paid the ticket. On top of just accepting the cities $25 late fee, turo decided to add ANOTHER airport fee on top of their fees.I started my dispute and would have happily paid the $40 ticket.Even though I feel it is purely abusive to be ticketed and not get a ticket, if Im wrong I pay my dues. However the abusive billing practices of just ******* to pay $25 late fees on top of being DOUBLE BILLED airport fees is abuse that I wont accept. Turo enjoys knowing that the higher the billing the more fees they get to charge. Please reconsider using turo and knowing they dont care about their guests. There was no attempt to contact me about the ticket to pay direct, resolve the situation. They just take charge and run wild with my pocketbook.Had Turo or the host reached out to me first, I would have called the city and paid this immediately and had the $25 fee waived.Since they didnt, Im not going to just bow down to their ********** better turo. Also be mindful before you consider ***** B vehicle as he doesnt care to reach out first.Review fromJ'Von B

1 starI recently attempted to use Turos platform, but my account was unexpectedly restricted with no specific reason given. I received a vague email stating that I failed a background screening or violated Turos Terms of Service, but I have a completely clean record and have never used Turo before. When I reached out for clarification, customer support refused to provide details or conduct a proper manual review of my case. I believe this decision was made by an automated system, and no real person has reviewed my account fairly. Whats frustrating is that I can rent vehicles from other companies without issue, so I dont understand why Turo has blocked **** have tried contacting support multiple times, but I continue to get generic responses with no real resolution. Turos lack of transparency and refusal to review my case properly is extremely disappointing. I am requesting that Turo conduct a fair and manual review of my account, as I believe I have been unfairly restricted without cause.I hope Turo takes this issue seriously and improves its customer service and account review process.Review fromRyan N

2 starsBeware of the "protection plans" Turo offers. Based on past experience of owners charging hundreds of dollars for small scratches that I did not see, and may have been there beforehand, I purchased the Standard Protection Plan. I read through the details of it ahead of time, and it was not clear that they still bill your personal auto insurance first. All Turo's plan does is limit your liability AFTER your insurance has paid to $500. I read through it again carefully, and while there weren't any claims that were clearly false, it is certainly not clear about this. I don't have much respect for businesses that purposely obscure important facts such as this. In this case, I did scrape the bumper of the car, and repaired it immediately. I know I am liable for repairing this damage, and the host has not tried anything shady. It's Turo's lack of clear explanation and unwillingness to change this that I am unsatisfied with. Whether that type of protection is worth well over $200 for week's rental is up to the consumer, but the company should be crystal clear about what the policy does--and does not--cover. If I decide to use Turo again, I won't waste my money on this plan.Review fromKevin K

1 starI had an absolutely terrible experience with Turo that completely disrupted my trip to *****. My friend booked a Maserati GranTurismo on Sunday, March 16th, for $293.00, with plans for my dad and me to pick it up on Wednesday, March 19th, while my friend would arrive a day later. However, Turo informed him that he had to be present at the time of pickup and advised him to cancel the booking so that I could rebook it under my name. When I attempted to rebook the exact same car on Tuesday, March 18th, the price had nearly doubled! They claimed it was due to a "last-minute booking," even though the original reservation was made well in advance. Despite my efforts to explain the situation, they repeatedly told me there was nothing they could do. To make matters worse, I was hung up on twiceonce by a woman and then by a man named *****.This led to me not booking anything at all due to the ridiculous price hike and the sheer inconvenience it caused for my dad, my friend, and me. Had we been informed of the potential price increase, my friend would have never canceled the reservation and would have adjusted his travel plans instead. Yet, at no point did Turo agents warn us about this change. This was an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience, resulting in lost business for Turo. Their lack of transparency, poor customer service, and inflexibility turned what should have been a great trip into a stressful ordeal. I would strongly caution anyone considering Turobe prepared for unexpected issues, unhelpful agents, and zero accountability.Review fromSHANNA S

1 starTitle: Beware of Unfair **************** Risks Turo Needs to Do Better!Ive maintained a 5-star rating for yearsuntil I had an issue with this hosts car that wasnt drivable. Instead of prioritizing safety and fairness, the host gave me a low rating simply because I reported the issue. When I asked for an explanation, there was nothing in the notes, likely because Turo allows hosts to leave unfair ratings without accountability. They cant remove the rating, only the notes, which is completely unjust to responsible renters like myself.Heres what happened: The car had serious issuesthe check engine light came on, and it began jerking as if it was going to shut off. The host suggested I continue driving the car anyway, which was unacceptable. Safety should always come first. I immediately filed a claim with Turo, at which point the host tried to convince me to close the ticket instead of addressing the problem properly. I also told the host he would need to provide documentation regarding the cars issues, but he never did.Whats even more frustrating is that Turo has not taken this matter seriously. Despite my claim, the car is still available for booking, meaning another renter could end up in the same dangerous situation. Does someone have to break down on the side of the road before action is taken? Turo needs to start prioritizing customer safety over profits.I have documents to back up my claims, and I have filed a complaint against this host. If you value safety, fairness, and your hard-earned 5-star rating, DO NOT book with MM Sky *** And Turorespect your customers more. We are the reason youre in business.Review fromAndrew A

1 starI was improperly charged $50 fee for "vehicle returned to an improper location", I pointed to Host agreeing to the return location in Turo's messages and Turo's support article recommendation of the return **************** then changed it to "Late Return Charge" which I pointed out that I actually returned the car early.Issue still unresolved even though I presented all the evidence and screenshots they requested. I have used this service three times but I won't be doing so again.
