Bait and switch. Told to buy new model because app support would stop. 2 weeks after getting new cooker told I needed to make an account to grandfather myself in so I could continue to use app for free. Went to use app and there are no longer any cooking guides or any information as it was before. Total scam and bait and switch company should be ashamed.

I purchased an Above Precision Cooker Pro on December 7th of 2022, it broke on 12/24 really s******* up Christmas dinner plans. The replacement broke in January of 2024. Support initially rejected my claim out of hand, it took multiple rounds of back and forth to get them to honor their two year warranty.

************************************************************* This was the perfect oven for all that I cook. It worked perfectly until I got an error message that said 408 serv ice I emailed customer service and asked what does this mean - they said it needs firmware update So I did it Waited unplugged for 24 hours plugged back in went thru setup oven worked all is fine, NO after the cook it did the exact same thing, I did this about 5 more times started February 28, 2024 Talked by email to several people the second to the last person I spoke to ***** took me thru the process same thing happened after several days of back and forth emails so the last email he said we need to replace this oven fill out the form tell them you talked to ***** and we will get you another oven. The oven is not cheap ****** I purchased at 40% off because of sale. Im a home cook, I have other Anova appliances sous vide stick, chamber vacuum and regular vacuum sealer A food nerd and was so impressed with the products I didnt hesitate to buy the oven at such a reduced price.I fill out the form told them ***** worked thru the steps and said it needs to be replaced They said no they could not do that because it was past the two year warranty They never offered an extended warranty Their firmware reset broke my oven and they have no fix for it and only fix they have is offer 40% on new oven Of which I wouldnt buy now because of their warranty and customer service The head of customer service said they offer extended warranty but they dont if they offered it at time of purchase I would have gotten it Im that person who buys extended warranty Im sad that they broke my oven and have no fix and will not stand behind their product Shame on them. Dont buy their stuff

They sell a countertop precision oven that can't sit on the counter. It broke my counter. They have 0 remorse and know it's faulty. I'm looking into a class action lawsuit.

My wife got me one of Anova's top-of-the-line supposedly-professional-quality circulators for Christmas. (Plus tank, sealer, and a stockpile of bags.) I believe it was the Precision Cooker 3.0 specifically, though I found it interestingly difficult to tell. (It was purchased via a third party, so I will, on the principle of charity, ascribe all uncertainty in that regard to said third party.)It arrived with the display detached from the body of the circulator, save by a ribbon cable and a second wire I lack the vocabulary to precisely describe. I assumed that I could peel the film and the pieces would then click together. Not so!The display was never attached to the body of the circulator - even at the factory. I know this to be true because I can SEE the four s**** attachment points on the main body of the circulator (all with jagged edges showing that said attachment broke off), I can see the four screws used to put together the display, and I can see that said screws protrude at most a millimeter from from the display. Those screws could never have functionally engaged with the attachment points on the main body of the circulator. At best, the frontmost millimeter of the screws could have engaged... with an attachment point designed for full connection to the full shaft of the s**** So it broke.Anova's manufacturing processes do not produce a product which could ever, even under the least stressful circumstances, maintain its integrity as a single unit. The screws used to attach the display are, quite simply, far too short to provide a functional attachment - so the main attachment which remains is the ribbon cable between the pieces. Good luck relying on that. When a company chooses to use screws with specifications completely inadequate to hold their unit together, and such complaints are widespread and never materially answered, I can only conclude that the company is deliberately conning the most gullible of its potential customers.
