I went to **************************** to renew husband's tags. **** came up first--I thought it was ******** DMV. I filled in all the blanks, including his credit card #. I hit "buy now", thinking that was odd--usually it's "submit". How can I cancel it and keep him from being charged $10.95/ monthly? Should I do a new application with proper VA DMV site? I was scammed. They sent a postcard in the mail pretending to be an official car registration notice, directed me to their site, I paid, and then it continued to do a monthly ***** charge for 9 months until I caught it just now. BBB: please investigate this fraudulent company!!AMVS Online

It is fraudulent. I was on a state website to renew my car license and it directed me to their website wanting my auto info and card info. When called they said they are not affiliated with governmental ***. The *** was hacked and directed to their website.AMVS Online

It's a scam. This website allows users to pay for a subscription without providing an option to create an account. This is problematic because the only way to cancel the subscription is through the account portal. This is a clear scam that misleads people into signing up for a service without their knowledge, ultimately charging them for a subscription they dont want or even realize they have.AMVS Online

Total scam!!! I signed up to get my plates renewed at a kiosk, supposed to be convenient through the state of ******** and they have you going through all these steps and they automatically sign you up for this AMV. Its a joke. Unfortunately, noticed it after two months of paying for it on my debit card they refunded one month that was it. I talked to ******* at the company and she was not nice at all. You know its confusing enough using one of those kiosks and then they go and do this to you. Shouldnt the state of ******** do something about this?AMVS Online

Even if the customer service responsiveness makes it appear otherwise, the website is set up in a predatory way. A credit card is requested and charged before a password is even created on an account. They ask for enough information to link an email to all information on your driver's license, your license plate, and possibly your vehicle title number, charge you $10.95 immediately upon entry of the card info, and THEN ask for a password to be created. It is clear that the repeated "Sorry to hear that your experience with us has been difficult, we do try to make the pricing and service details as clear as possible" response is nonsense, they know exactly what the website is set up to do. If this were a legitimate business that offered an actual service that anyone wanted, they would have a frontend that actually had information about the services offered. This is the same deceptive practice by Surestream Digital and Windsor Accountancy that was called "Vehicle Information" in the **, but that website is now clearer in its intention. If **** were modeled after their British website, it might not appear to be intended to trick someone into thinking they are on their state's DMV portal.AMVS Online
