I am disputing a charge to my credit card in the amount of $29.95 on 9/25/21 by ASKNET *IOBITSOFT for a computer software that I did not want and did not order. Last year, I purchased a software called MALWARE FIGHTER and checked to box to NOT have auto-renewal. In September, I began getting emails telling me to renew my subscription, which I declined. Instead, they generated an invoice and charged my credit card anyway. I have tried to contact ASKNET many times and requested a return call, all to no avail. Because of this, I have been forced to order a new credit card to avoid being charged again. I want a full refund! I intend to report ASKNET to the BBB and to the consumer protection division of the ************************ in **********, where the ASKNET office is located.

I am very sorry for the default auto renewal status attached to your IObit Malware Fighter 6 PRO (1 year subscription / 1 PC) online subscription purchase originally purchased on October 2, 2018 using an alternate email address beginning with cougarman625@.  I see that you requested your *************** to reverse the charge to us on October 11, 2021 claiming "fraud".  Unfortunately, this is not a fraudulent charge as it is considered a valid auto renewal charge associated with your valid purchase of this product previously.  I will request that my *************************** process this refund back to your MasterCard account for $US 29.95 so long as your bank is no longer actively contesting this charge.  Please contact your *************** to request that they remove any pending or still active claim against asknet for this charge.  We can then process this refund back to your credit card account that was initially charged.  If you have cancelled this credit card please notify your credit card bank of this pending credit.

I also noticed that you have placed several IObit.com online subscription purchases through the www.iobit.com online store over the past few years.  Removing one specific subscription order does not remove all of the default auto renewal status's that *** have automatically been placed on a new subscription purchase.  This is most likely the reason why you feel you removed this product from auto billing status yet, the subscription still defaulted to auto billing and executed a charge to your credit card account.  Also, you have placed IObit subscription orders using two different registered email addresses and this *** have also contributed to this missed removal from the default auto billing status.

Thank you very much for your cooperation with contacting your *************** to make sure there is no pending claim for $US 29.95 against asknet for this unwanted auto renewal charge.  We will then execute this refund back to your credit card account as quickly as possible.

I have never authorized this company to charge my account. I have no relationship with this company. They charged my PayPal account in the amount of $129.99. TRANSACTION ID: 3M864997AH702771B

      Business response

The charge of $** 129.99 from October 18, 2021 was from a default auto renewal status attached to the original online purchase by Naturally U Body for ********************* for a Director Suite 365 (Annual Plan 12 months) subscription through the www.cyberlink.com online store.  asknet is the billing service provider hired by CyberLink to assist them with this online purchase.  The registered email address used for this order is listed as wahrbuchs@ through gmail.  I have cancelled this unwanted auto renewal charge and a refund of $** 129.99 will be issued back to your Paypal account within the next few business days.
