This business functions like a business that is not BBB-accredited. Because they have no oversight, I had a very similar experience as ************ There is no one to contact within the company should you have any questions. The only way they will respond to you is if you formally apply for participation in their type 2 diabetes program. I applied and I was immediately able to book a telephone intake appt. with a representative. However, once I submitted the front and back of my insurance card, and the lab work verifying I have type 2 diabetes, I was denied participation in their program. When I attempted to learn why I was denied (I am in the designated ***** age range, and have a formal diagnosis from a medical doctor, with accompanying lab work, indicating type 2 diabetes), the representative could not give me an answer. When I asked to be put into contact with her supervisor, to learn from him/her why I was denied, she did not give me their contact information. Instead, she (presumably) passed along my concerns, and the supervisor responded that I needed to inquire with my health insurance company as to why I was denied. Because they are functioning as an independent contractor with my health insurance company, they are not subject to any form of oversight. I have raised my concerns with my member representative from my health insurance, based on the fact that there is no means to contact this company, other than to formally apply, be rejected, and directed toward a private pay option (this is what happened to me). However, my health insurance is unable to exact any form of consequences or recourse for their questionable business practices because they are a third-party independent contractor. I will be filing a request for the BBB to look into this company and its highly irregular (mis)management/business practices, but I am not sure how much power BBB has toward a non-BBB accredited business. Buyer beware!
